I have been dealing with Bailey's close to 20 years, great business. You need to know what to order like a professional. The other people here complaining must have gone through a different provider and not dealt with Baileys first hand. Always great always on time and if they ever sent anything wrong it was corrected immediately. Thanks
My pants arrived right away. Size WAY off. Correct size on shipping label. Pants themselves in two place. Contacted baileys. Quick as I said wrong size they hung up. This happened three times. Then I got someone that tried to tell me all their pants came hemmed for someone 6'9" and you had to cut and hem again. Thats' so much BS. Nowhere on the website does it say that. Back they went. Called again later actually got someone who seemed to know something. Told her they had a real problem in customer service. Then called CC company and disputed bill. Classic bait and switch. I'm out $17 for return postage. Stay away from these guys. THEY ARE THE WORST

I have called and called to place an order and of course no body knows anything there and my favorite girl is no longer working there, good for her but now you lost a customer she was the only thing keeping me from not leaving well now I'm gone! Bailey's you need to hire better people not rude girls how are clueless to your product. Bye!

We have tried and tried with this company. Their shipping times are the worst, spend a few extra dollars and get what you need from anywhere else 2 plus weeks shipping times. They made the mistake and didn't send the order to shipping, once they finally did shipping had a question and emailed back which sat in their inbox for a few days with no response. They acknowledged their mistake but did nothing to fix it and still took 10 days to get to us. Do not shop with these guys many more stories of dissatisfaction over the last couple of years.
We've done business with them in the past. We were happy with most of the products we received. But last week we ordered a $329 pair of boots. We have bought two pairs prior to this so we know the quality of the boot. The same picture is on the website of the boots that we bought years ago.
However the new boots we just received are of a much lower quality. They look like a cheap knock off copy.
We have called and spoken to multiple people. Terrible customer service! They do not return calls.
One person said the boots haven't changed so i sent them a picture of the old boots next to the new ones. The only response was well you can send them back! Baileys is the kind of store that makes shopping online miserable! The old bait and switch!
Order a set of Red Dawg 16" lineman boots. Sent me two right feet. Offered me my money back in a couple of weeks. No new boots. No fixing their mistake. Just $500 hemmed up for 3-5 weeks and left no reason to order again, assuming I'd get very similar results given that the customer service seems to be zero. One would assume they would verify and expedite a replacement pair, not $#*! me for two more weeks.
I went through a miserable six months with these guys as their technical service people were unable to provide me with the right bar for my Husqvarna 455 Rancher. After three calls, I gave up and did my own research and found the right bar. Even though it was their mistake, they wouldn't let me return all of the bars I ordered.
I bought several hundred dollars worth of equipment online from Bailey's which the website said was "in-stock". I paid $110 extra for 2 day shipping. I ordered it 6 days ago, still don't have it. I emailed them asking for my shipping money back. They said it was back ordered & they gave me a $30 credit. I just got a message from UPS it won't be here for another 2 days.
I purchased 2 "Super Giant Mystery Boxes" for $49.95 each. They even show a video of 2 men opening 1 large box with many wrapped products in the box. What I received was 1 small box with 4 items. All 4 items were some no name brand ear buds. When I contacted them they said I received the correct order. I indicated that i had purchased 2 "Super Giant Mystery Boxes" and not 1 small box. They again said I had the correct order. I suggested they look up the meaning of "Super Giant" in the dictionary and that they should remove the video. I'm out $100 because I believed their incorrect and misleading advertisement!
Tip for consumers:
Don't believe their advertisements
Will not take returns and will not refund the purchase price if you are not happy with the purchase. Will provide a partial refund and tell you to keep the clothes. Do not purchase unless you're okay with low quality clothes that you cannot return.
Was sent wrong bar didnt notice put it on and scratched it. Took over a month to even get someone on the phone then he was the biggest a@@hole I've ever met and told me since it was scratched nothing they WOULD do not can do. I spend a few hundred bucks a year there but not another dime
Three days into my order they already have taken my money I call to find out what was going on with my order why I haven't seen a shipping notice and a snarly girl tells me we have it all here and maybe we will get to it in 24 hours or so
Tip for consumers:
Not to be in a hurry you they are not gonna ship it until they feel like it
I have had nothing but trouble from this company from day 1. I bought a helmet with face shield and the first time I used it the face shield broke. Customer service is beyond terrible. I would stay as far away from this company as possible.
I brought my car to get safety car drove perfect til we brought there they put fluid in rad and now cracked head gasket telling us will cost 3000 to fix. But convently still issued the safety paper which we are currently dealing through the ministry now. The owners son is an unlicensed mechanicworking on cars and breaking them to create more jobs and money and we called him upset of course he hung up on me. Awful buisness beware if u take your vehicle there. Just trying to warn everyone not a nice feeling that for sure
If your looking for expert advice, dont bother. If you dont know what you need specifically, like bar types or chain recommendations, they will not search and suggest what is best for your application. I have older chain saws (Homelite Super XL and Craftsman 3.7) and needed 28" bars for them and since I didnt know, they would not suggest. In fact, I was told; "if you dont tell me the specs, I cannot suggest anything" They are NOT experts there, but catalog hunters. I can do that myself. Its no wonder they keep spouting "We cant suggest anything as we dont want to be responsible". I wont be spending my money here. Very dissapointed
I bought a chainsaw part August 3rd. I was told it would be delayed three weeks o said fine. Then it was another week delay. Now I was yold another three weeks wait. And now they ran the charges through without delivery of product. This company is a rip off. Prices are high, delivery cost are high. They ripped me off! I can't believe it! Never again!
I purchased a backup set of chipper blades & they sent the wrong size. I was told by customer service than I should have measured them within the first 30 days.
Don't shop there. Bad business model.
This company's customer's service department need a total overhaul and multiple classes in how to place orders and how to follow up with these orders. They don't know the right hand from the left hand and each time you speak with them it is a different story.
I placed on order in August 2017 and today found today in October that their system cancelled it. There was a lot of misrepresentation from the beginning and erroneous information was given about the availability of the part. I have placed no less than a dozen phone calls with them to follow up and was told that the part would be delivered sometime in November only to find out that they cancelled. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM.
I've ordered supplies from Baileys for well over a decade (for home and business use). I contact them directly via phone or email. I've experienced mostly OK service, but also had a few hiccups. Last year, I tried to place an order (via phone, as it required a special shipping quote). After many days, I got a message indicating they had not processed my order due to problems with the transition to a new computer system. I called back and tried to place the order again. It never showed up and I was never charged, so I had to call again. If I had needed the product urgently, I'd have been screwed. I've also struggled with their site search engine many times in the past (it wouldn't recognize basic items that they carried). The impression I get is of a company growing faster than their IT systems can handle. This is basic stuff they ought to get right. I'll keep ordering because I need the products they sell, but I wish they'd get their act together. For starters, they should have a single customer service agent (with a name) assigned to a case. I want someone I can trust to fix my problem, not some nameless person in a call center (?).
Products used:
Baileys Seal, chains for my saw, various arborist supplies
I tried 3 times to get some answer on pricing and equipment, but no one knew anything and or answered my questions. I was suppose to get a response later LOL
I ordered 1 sweatshirt from this store on 12/3/16 expecting it to ship within 24 hours as advertised on their site. I was concerned it had not shipped by Wednesday, so I emailed to follow up and was told they would check on the status and let me know because it was coming from a 3rd party vendor. I never heard back. So I called Thursday and asked for a status update and if it would arrive in time for Christmas. I was told they would check into and let me know, never heard back yet again. Friday morning, still no emails or calls, so I called again to inquire and told the customer service rep I had just about enough of being jerked around. They said they promised they wouldn't do that to me again, and would get a status update and call me by noon. Its 3:00 pm now, no call. I just called to cancel because I'm annoyed with this game they are playing and I got the same guy, he didn't even remember that I had called him that morning. They are clueless. I cancelled my order because of how crappy their customer service is, my order still may have been shipped at some point but I wasnt going to wait around to find out and be disappointed. I better not get charged for this item, its still pending on my paypal and I'm waiting for a cancellation email. I wont hold my breath. Stay away from this site. I ordered the same item on Amazon, guaranteed by Monday. I'm sure I'll have better luck... fingers crossed.
I have bought two expensive small chain saws from you. The first was the smallest solo. That saw was more trouble to start and keep running than it was worth. When a tool becomes a job its no longer a tool its junk and I threw it away, 500$ down the tube. I then bought a husky 540 T mostly because your sales man said it was so much better than the echo that I had originally wanted to buy. Also I own two other huskys a 257 and a 460 rancher(both of which I did not buy from you) that I love. The 540 has never run right, It is almost impossible to start without flooding it and then once it gets running it runs good for a few minutes until it gets hot and then dies and will not restart no matter what I do. The saw shops where I live will not touch it when they find out that it came from you. So I shipped it back to you, now to find out that you have unfixed saws in your shop that were sent in back in march! You advertise that you service what you sell. Really? I am not just going to throw away 1100$ worth of saws, You need to get another mechanic or send me another saw. This is the first review I have written about your store and it is not going to be the last if you do not help me. This is also going to husqvarna as I want them to know about your lousy service.
I purchased 2 chains and air filter cover for my Husky pole saw... a P326 model # I believe... I told the guy it had a 14 " bar... Bailey s had supplied many parts for this same saw a decade earlier when a friend damaged it... They sent me the wrong sized chains & the air filter cover had no plastic bolt to secure it... not only did I pay $4 for another bolt(that also turned out to be WRONG)... they would not send me a return shippingg label for the wrong sized chains that their guy said would work... what? I'm supposed to know all the "specs" on my 20 yr old saw... they should have the proper info too... the original employee told me she would refund my credit card for the cost of the chains and for me not to bother shipping them back,,, SHE NEVER did that... and now they won't honor their now dismissed/fired? Employees verbal agreement to/with me...& they want me to pay shipping on $25 worth of chains...& no refunds for the bolt they NEVER properly sent me for the air filter cover... ITS NOT GOOD PR... to shiester long time customer & wood cutters over $25 BUCKS... I will shop elsewhere every chance I get... bunch of weasels at Baileys apparently... UNPROFESSIONAL
I have tried repeatedly to get Bailey's to publish my review of this chain. I had purchased two several years ago that were made in Canada and they were great. So when I needed two more I ordered the same chains. When they arrived the box said "Made in China." Right then I should have sent them back. But I tried them and for about the first half of the cutter, they were OK. They sharpened easily but did not stay as sharp as long as the Canadian made chains.
When the cutters were half worn they both started pulling to the right. I could not control them with pressure on the hand grip. I sharpen my own chains so I thought maybe the cutters were not even or the rakers had been inadvertently filed improperly. I put the chains on my Oregon 511AX and reground the cutters to within less than 0.001" difference and the rakers to the same tolerance. No difference in pulling to the right. I changed to a new bar just in case. Same problem. So I threw them both away with about half the cutter length left. Went back to Oregon Made in Canada chains and no problems.
Bailey's refuses to publish my reviews because I believe they are afraid of losing customers when they read my recent review versus the old reviews which were for chains made in Canada. To me that shows that they are not interested in having informed customers and with something as important as chainsaw chains that may be a safety issue.
I now tell everyone to stay away from Bailey's WoodlandPro chain as it appears that it is all now made in China. Spend the extra dollars and get Oregon or Stihl chain.
Regarding the post above about shipping, I only buy from Bailey's when they offer free shipping. Most of my purchases are from TreeStuff.com but you have to be careful there also as they are carrying more and more Chinese products. But you can call and talk to them and get someone who is very knowledgeable and will offer their professional opinions on whether what you are considering ordering will meet your needs.
Bailey's needs to go back to what they used to be... sellers of high quality products at reasonable prices with low shipping costs.
I've been a bailey's customer for about 10 years and I usually get the same stuff but I was looking for a certain item and I couldn't find on your new website ( which you should fix) I called and left a message and jacqline called me back very sweet young lady found what I was looking for and more! Bailey's I don't know about your website but if you keep that young lady around I'll be sure to keep buying from you. Thank you for jacqline for you help! And kind words! Cheers!
