I have been trying, without success, to send by ACH to another account of mine. The ACH recipient list for that account disappeared, and was removed by BofA since my last successful transfer last month. So, I attempted to create a new recipient and received an error message to call BofA customer service. I was on the phone for 6 hours, 30 minutes, and no one at BofA could tell me how to successfully create a new recipient. Since BofA website told me to call BofA I mistakenly thought BofA would know how to restore this capability. I spoke to eight different people, supervisors and managers. No one could help. So, I have no way to transfer my funds as I wish to do. I have documented everything, names, dates, times, screen captures, etc. so the California Attorney General's office can take over, because BofA refuses to do anything further to permit me to transfer my funds. Shame on BofA, to freeze my ACH transfer capability!
The worst bank ever seen. Be careful of their ATM machine i did put a deposit yesterday in their machine and it took the money and it did not account them in my account and i did went to their bank office to explain what happened and the agent told me i need to fill up a claim and you have to wait around 10 business day to check if they can credited or no and it may take up to 45 days the claim and the the agent mention that they have this problem many time with the same ATm machine in 42nd street.
STAY AWAY. I was frauded by a company online that I gave my BofA debit card too. After I noticed the fraud, I filed a complaint showing that this was a rampant fraud, backed it up by the company who I thought I was paying stating it was a fraud scheme. BofA still denied my claim to have the money refunded to me because they said I gave them my CC info. I will be finding a new bank.
Bank of America customer service is pathetic! To get an actual customer service representative on the phone, you have to wait a minimum of 1/2 an hour before you get one that is incompetent. The bank relies heavily on computer support and absolutely fails to address unique problems. DO NOT BANK WITH BANK OF AMERICA!
I waited 42 minuets to speak to someone before i hung up without talking to anyone. This is the worst bank I've ever had to deal with.
Too big to fail = corrupt bank.
Based on my experience. They run a promotion, get you hooked, and they don't deliver on their promise, and they say it is in the tiny tiny tiny fine print. Shame on them. 30 years loyal to them, and they are not loyal to you.
I strongly caution against engaging with Bank of America, as my experience suggests they operate as a scam company. Be wary of any involvement, as it may result in financial loss and unfavorable outcomes.
I've gotten my money back and that was only way I could go about it. I got help from. (I USED THEIR WEBSITE URL AS MY DISPLAY NAME AND PROFILE PICTURE ON THIS REVIEW INCASE YOU NEED HELP AND WANT TO REACH OUT TO THEM).
Note: I did this because of the strict policy over here and honestly i just want to help as many people as possible to get their money back.
Review for Bank of America:
I have been a loyal Bank of America customer for over 10 years, consistently making payments on time. Recently, while traveling abroad, I missed a payment of around $10 because I didn't have regular access to my online account. To my shock, BofA closed my credit line without any prior notice via email.
I discovered this only when I tried to purchase a ticket. Despite attempting to resolve the issue through the mobile app and calling international support, I received no assistance. The customer service was unhelpful and informed me that they could not reopen my credit line.
To make matters worse, I am currently under a medical situation and desperately need access to my credit card, which is now closed. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with BofA's lack of support and communication.
I am so tired of your branch on Beach st. In Fort Worth, TX. I am a business and personal account holder. Every single time I have to go in which I try to avoid at all costs I wait forever to process a simple deposit. Why? Because I have to wait behind all non-customers cashing checks. One day I was even told the commercial teller line is closed as I was the next customer. Today, the new check scanners either don't work or the employees don't know how to operate them. So, again, I waited for the poor teller to try the scanner at least 10 times while I (guess) waited. There are seemingly dozens of people working the bank but when there is a line waiting for tellers no one EVER steps in to assist. It has become clear to me that this is just standard operating procedure for the entire organization so I will be making the decision to move all of my accounts. 4 in total, 2 of which are quite sizable. Good riddance and good luck to you when you treat customers as a burden.
I have had a business account with BOA for over 40 years. Someone got my account number and charged fraudulent charges on it. They eliminated the charges the first few months and issued me a new account number but new fraudulent charges (same vendor) appeared the next month. This whole scenario repeated itself for 5 months (5 new cards with new account numbers and 5 new sets of fraudulent charges that they ruled Fraudulent) finally they admitted that they could not protect me from Visa who was giving the vendor my new account number each time. The, they determined that the charges (formerly ruled Fraudulent) were legitimate because I had an established relationship with the vendor and demanded payment. They are so incompetent they are actually toxic!
Had $1000 wired to Bank of America, Never deposited money. Talked to TWO different people, finally told "funds would be availabe Friday". Teusday, still not here. Called and had chat. "I don't see wire transfer" even though TWO different associated confirmed they received it a week ago. WEEK AND A HALF NOW, and the funds are still not there. Roth IRA shows they were sent WEEK AND A HALF AGO. Complaint filed with Florida Office of Financial Regulation. Would YOU do business with a bank you cannot trust with your hard earned money. Once Funds do clear, IF THEY EVER DO, I will be looking for a reliable bank! Otherwise you might be asking, "where's my money?"
Bank of America is the absolute WORST! Zero respect for its clients regardless of how long your account has been active and in good standing.
I have been banking with them for over 30 years and they still continue to put random holds on some of my deposits! These deposits are coming from businesses that I've made deposits on many, many times. Yet, without any reasons given, they place a hold on my money for 5 business days. Absolutely ridiculous! I could understand more if my account was in poor standing or even if I had never made a deposit written off of a particular company before. However, not the case here. BOA you suck! I will be closing all of my accounts with you going forward.
The people at the bank are helpful. Their *******000 line is a JOKE. HORRIBLE! Did not allow me to get to a customer service person. Just kept circling me around. Thinking I am leaving this bank because of this!
The worst customer service on the bank loan I have ever had.
BoA held my mortgage until about a yr ago when they sold it to New Perez. I've called New Perez to get a pay off 2 times now. Both times I was given wrong info and was sent paperwork that was useless. Thanks Bank of America for not keeping my loan or servicing it. The whole reason for signing with BoA was because it was a local business that I could go to if needed. Now I'm dealing with a incompetent lender because of BoA loan selling practices! That's twice I've been screwed. But I can promise BoA won't get to screw me again EVER!
I have banked with BoA for 21+ years. I have my business account with them as well. Over the last 5+ years the DECLINE in assisting their own customers has increased by 150%
My car was towed due to a hit and run to a repair shop. I was 36+ miles away from home and my business account was transitioning 2 large deposits that totaled well over $20,000.
At the car rental place my debit card was declined for a $189.00 deposit. Because my account at that moment had only $99.00 BOA would not support the difference, leaving me without any other choice then to go back to the repair shop and drive the 36+ miles home until the next morning! Unbelievable! The first opportunity I get, I will be moving my accounts to a credit union - one of the few, last banking service-friendly
The cast majority of BosA branches have too few tellers to handle the transactions that cannot be performed online.
Here's an Image. One teller on a Friday. Customers are seated because it takes so long.
Worst Customer Service, long lines, not trustworthy do not go with them if you'd like to avoid headaches, something simple they make it complicated. I'm not satisfied with their services at all. Most of the time Atm not working. Many Branches closing, low in staff... From 0 to 3 I give them 1
This bank, Unfortunately I used for almost 2 decades, I had a account at a Bank I used in the 1970s before moving out of state. BOA bought them out, I just went with it. They make Millions in Pure Profit by Charging of Overdraft even though its only a few dollars over your balance! I think it's Sickening the Free Ride Bank of America gets on the back of the Poor! Wealthy don't have overdrafts!
I have a small business account with BoA and they are absolutely abysmal in customer service. The problem with BoA is their executives are extremely incompetent and overpaid. They force their customers to wait on hold for long hours and indefinite times - despite charging outrageous service fees. Their executives should not reap massive compensation when they fail to provide basic, efficient, or professional service.
I had a very bad experience with Bank Of America regarding the interest on my account. I called several times and requested if the interest could be waived out as a one time courtesy since my balance was $0.The manager, Katrina from Texas was extremely unhelpful and rude. I have been a loyal Bank Of America customer since 2008. I will no longer be doing any business with them!
Answer: So many other and better banks please stay away from this shithole. Bank of america yup sounds about right. America..
Answer: Nobody at BOA can help me resolve this issue! Which is sad
