If you are in Lebanon and especially in Zahle do not use Audi Bank especially their ATM. I went on a Friday morning to withdraw $250 using my USA debit card, and the transaction at the ATM was accepted, but the machine failed to dispense the funds eventhough the amount was deducted from the total balance. I have immediately tried to inform the bank's staff. They have made me wait for 20 minutes before anyone comes to talk to me. All of the staff members that I talked to including the director at the bank have been trying to tell me that there is nothing they can do and were trying to blame the ATM.
They have cameras, and they did not even ask me for my name or my phone number to call me later on at least after they will audit the ATM. The only thing they kept telling me is that I have to file a claim with my bank in USA. I have no problem doing that but problem is that I would be staying in Lebanon for another 3 months, and if I file a claim with my bank, they will stop my debit card immediately which means I will be staying for three months and I cannot access my funds in USA. On top of it, I have a maximum of 60 days with my current bank policies to file a claim.
So they put me in a tough decision to make, either to forget about the $250 or file a claim with my bank and stay for 3 months without being able to withdraw money from my account in USA.
Worst part is that the bank did not even attempt to find out if the ATM dispensed the $250 for me or not. In summary, if you want to open a bank account in Lebanon, go and use a different bank where they will value their customers better.
