I'm not one to leave reviews, but for once, I couldn't help it. I had a dog with reactivity issues that we've had to put down recently due to behavioral issues. Their team was super helpful and supportive in getting the box cancelled, and even offered to reach out afterwards to check in. I am and will forever be grateful for their business, and will definitely be coming back to them in the future.
I have to send them an email so I get my box. They took the money out of my account on the 2nd of October and still haven't gotten my box and it is now October 18 2024! Stop play with me!

When I signed up for our subscription, it was for 12 months. They seriously try to hold you to this commitment if you try to cancel. I emailed several times with no resolution. I tried to call to speak with someone to no avail. I chatted and literally had to force them to give me a refund and cancel my subscription. I had to ask to escalate to a supervisor before they would help me. NOT WORTH IT.

I just want to say,my dogs love their toys! It took a few trys before we got it right and realized the best ones for my crew are the super durable nylon toys.
My Rottweilers love that they can chew as hard as they want and they don't destroy them. They know when the boxes come because the mailman leaves it on my porch and that's the only time he does. They all let me know when he's here and they get so excited they all line up by the window and watch. Thank you for making Rottweiler and pitbull proof toys. ND those snacks are great too!
Tip for consumers:
Bark box is a great company and stand by their products 100%

The "im so sorry" emails for the last 3 months have been so annoying, but the "69" one really irritated me. I understand we're all grown but there's a time and place for these explicit things. After responding to the email, I get a response from someone justifying why they thought it was "cool" and "funny" to send something so tacky. Consider a different marketing manager because this is poor and once more, tacky. May work for some people but owning a business isn't and shouldn't be aimed at one crowd.
Subscription is a total rip off - they bait you with a full 1st box and then, subsequent boxes are 33% Less. Some people get full boxes, others don't- any company this unethical might be selling tainted lead treats! Avoid at all costs
So we tried the Bark Box. Worst dog toys I have EVER seen. Every single toy is fabric. All plucked and shredded within a couple of hours. No rope toys or real chew toys. Constantly picking the threads our of Cuffs mouth trying to insure he doesn't ingest the threads. Threw the toys away. We feel robbed and cheated. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Never again.

Bark box. Absolutely nothing to write home about. 100% thread cloth toys. Horrible ingestion danger. Threw the rest of the toys away.
Very enticing promotions which seem easy but are difficult to understand how to collect. Not much help from the company. Reading comments, its clear I am not the only one who had problems. Now, im stuck with a years subscription.
My dog will not touch any of the snacks and treats that come in this box.he has no interest in any of it and when I asked to cancel.I was told thru email that I still have 10mos.left on a 1yr membership.they will stop the box but keep billing me...LOL.DONT RECOMMEND THIS TO Anyone
Only includes their automatic renewal in the terms of service (would take hours to carefully read). Will not cancel or refund even when yup contact them same day and request it. Does not remind or notify you of an autorenewal coming up. Does not make it easy to find cancel auto renew button.
Finally, super chewer not worth it - dog destroyed everything they sent or lost interest very quickly.
Bought a new dog toy with a promotional portrait of my pup from BarkBox included with the purchase. Never received the portrait. Reached out to them and they told me it would be sent within a week. That was 3 weeks ago. I don't know what this company is all about, but BEWARE!
Tip for consumers:
Not reliable. Check BBB reviews which will confirm my conclusion.

We were sent 2 replacement toys to help alleviate our disappointment with the original selection... Not really surprising that the replacements are some (even more boring than the toys they originally sent) leftover (unwanted) Christmas themed trash and still nothing close to what was advertised.
BarkBox is pretty much the worst.
Tip for consumers:
Seriously, the good toys are available on Amazon or at Target. Don't waste your time with anything else.

Saw some really cool BarkBox toys on the shelf at Target, and ended up buying one to welcome my rescue boy home with. He loved it, so I figured I'd just sign him up for the subscription - the selection of toys from which we were let to believe we would be receiving a few, included many of the ones I had already seen, (and been impressed with.)
Unfortunately, none of the advertised toys were included in our (double promo) box - in fact the toys we did receive were mostly cheap, and boring - comparable to discount stuffys on the rack at Winco. Out of the 4 toys (double promo) he only gave any attention to two, but shortly lost interest. Went to the pet store later that day to let him pick some better ones for us to play with.
This was my only issue with the box until I looked at the treats, which are all cheap, rubbery crap full of legume powders, sugars, and carcinogenic additions (for "flavor"). My pup wouldn't even give them a second sniff (probably a good thing, as I wouldn't want him to have them anyway...) I thought about giving the treats away, but I'm honestly not really sure I even want to donate these...
I chatted in immediately after we opened it and was promptly told that I should be happy with the value of the box and that the toys were each $10-$12 individually - to which I told the rep the company's penchant for over-charging of customers is no excuse for poor expectation-setting, or bait-and-switch marketing, and suggested he cancel my sub. He did.
All in all, I expected this to be the end of it, but I recently had someone reach out to me and ask about my experience. My boy is apparently going to be receiving 2 (more interesting) toys in the mail shortly... While I know there are good BarkBox toys out there, my hopes for receiving any are not high.
Tip for consumers:
Just buy the good-quality toys from Target... I honestly don't believe there are any good treats in this company's repertoire.

Rip off! Buy one year subscription and get $100 gift card? Sounds good on paper.Okay I'll bite. Go to spend the $100 and there's literally NOTHING in stock! 90% of everything is SOLD OUT? Yeah, right, thanks for nothing. Rigid and rdiculously petty business practice. It's evident barkbox is headed towards their eventual doom. Don't fall for their double talking tactics. It's all smoke and mirrors.

Not worth the money for the toys. Basically the same toys every month and they seem to be getting cheap with production. The treat bags have less in them and some have gotten smaller. If you have an issue, like double charging your acct, their customer service is useless. I ended up having to dispute the charges and cancel my card.
We joined the bark box club for our puppy. The treats sent were not suitable for puppies & when I contacted the Co, I was told I had a 12 mth subscription. She assured me the treats were for puppies, yet the package said different. Choking & digestive issues are not something I want to pay for. They overcharged me (confirmed on other sites) for the free inflatable water hydrant, just to cancel my subscription. Lousy customer service & do not recommend!

The dog toys & 1 bag of the training treats. The other 2 bags clearly state “not for dogs under 6 mths”. They sent them anyway..
We order the six month plan the Monthly payments were supposed to be $31.79 a month and that included taxes and Shipping They took the The full amount of all 6 boxes Out of our bank account all at 1 time $176.88 This company cannot be trusted
Not only is the box a rip off but customer service needs major work.
They charge you 21 days in advance and can't tell you why. Takes them 3 weeks to send a box? Cheap toys... gross treats... don't waste your money, Pet Smart has more for a better price and quality.
Tip for consumers:
Over priced and customer service is very poor

Customer service is almost non-existent. The toys are not any better than Walmart. Satisfaction guarantee is a lie. They won't let you unsubscribe. They steal money from your account. It's been a horrible experience. Shame on me for not reading reviews first.
Horrible customer service and very misleading products. Says their products are grain free and "natural" upon investigation and research they use toxic ingredients to promote addiction or craving in dogs.
Also if you want to ever cancel your subscription forget it, they will not allow that. I am stuck paying for 11 months of products I do not want to feed my dog. HORRIBLE company.
I was excited to hear about the "Barkbox" from a friend who raves about it. The first box arrived, I was flooded with emails prior to the arrival and after. The treats were amazing, the toys not so much. I added an extra toy, my mini Aussie torn them to shreds before the evening was over. I responded to one of the multiple emails and they said they would send replacement toys. They also informed me of a "tougher" Barkbox at an additional cost. Foolishly I fell for it. It has been over three weeks and no replacement toys. Big hype with lots of emails from company with their dogs (who knows if that is even real). I have asked to stop my subscription. We will see. Apparently I did not read the fine print. Don't be tricked like I was. Bad company!
Most of their products went straight in the trash. The toys smell funny- some vanilla rubber scent. My dogs didn't engage with their toys at all. After reading other reviews I refused to give them their Chinese made treats, do yourself a favor and read what has happened to others. I am not willing to risk my dogs life. I cancelled and the they tried to charge me over 200 for renewal. What a joke!

I decided to buy six months worth of bark boxes for my German Shepard and that's all I wanted and could afford since I live on disability. This company went in and charged my account over 156.00 dollars without my consent. This is what I call theft. Now I have to dispute the charges since I can't get a live person to help me. Now I have to go through the aggravation of getting a new debit card. Buyer beware.
Tip for consumers:
That this company continues to charge your bank account without consent.

I paid for 6 month subscription of bark box, and the toys were usually good quality. My dog (10 month golden retriever) didn't like any of bark box's treats or chews - I usually got same pumpkin flavor chew. We switched to 3 toys and 0 treats, and she enjoyed the box more, but it's took SIGNIFICANTLY longer to arrive (typically end of the month). Not worth it in my opinion because I could by the same toys for her myself for less expensive.
Tip for consumers:
Shipping cost is not disclosed upfront, but for me it was $6.99 every month. You do get a shipping discount with an add on (worth it in my opinion for free shipping) but it is still annoying.
I had high hopes but this is a fail. What I'm most upset about is you cannot cancel if you're not happy
