I'm not one to leave reviews, but for once, I couldn't help it. I had a dog with reactivity issues that we've had to put down recently due to behavioral issues. Their team was super helpful and supportive in getting the box cancelled, and even offered to reach out afterwards to check in. I am and will forever be grateful for their business, and will definitely be coming back to them in the future.
I have to send them an email so I get my box. They took the money out of my account on the 2nd of October and still haven't gotten my box and it is now October 18 2024! Stop play with me!
My dog Max recently passed away. They immediately gave me a refund for my last box without me asking. I was just cancelling due to his passing. They also sent me sympathy cards and an artist drew Max on the card. Very caring company, they even followed up to see if I was ok. Max loved his barkbox and would open them every month with such excitement. Thank you Barkbox for caring.
I wanted to change my subscription plan and used the chat option in their app and I had the best customer service experience I have ever had with a company! Not only did they easily change my subscription but after chatting about our dogs they sent me two free bags of treats! The first box was a toys only box and every toy was great. Very good quality and my dog loved every single toy!

The multi month subscription plans can still be billed monthly (you don’t have to pay up front for all the months at once) if you do choose to pay in full you will get an additional discount (10% on the 6 month plan)

We've been getting BarkBox for about 8 months, and we love it. My favorite thing is their "tear-able" toys. My dog LOVES to tear up fabric. Many of these toys are made with a cloth exterior designed to be torn open, revealing a durable toy, usually with a squeaker, inside. My dog can spend hours shredding the fabric, and she's not destroying my things anymore!
Some people have complained about their customer service. When I had an issue, I sent an email and got a response within a day. I think it's a small company, so they don't hire a cadre of employees dedicated to customer service.

My first order from Barkbox was a joke! They sent me Christmas ornaments after Christmas, three bags of treats and 1 lamb stick. Granted, I have a Yorkie and she is small; what do the big dogs get a milk bone? The box was valued at $50. I can go to a local shop and get more for my money and immediate customer service. I'm not impressed at all!
I ordered barkbox for our German shepherd puppy. She quickly out grew the toys and they became dangerous for her. It was a six month subscription I could only use for 4 months. I sent a letter as instructed to cancel and not renew and they charged me for a year and will not cancel early. I have taken steps to have the company be forced to cease on line sales.

Terrible customer service. Their website was confusing and they tried to force me into setting up a year long commitment, without telling me how much it would be, so I got in contact with customer service and it took about 2 hours to cancel a stupid dog toy box because they were so slow and unhelpful and just kept suggesting other products of theirs for me to buy, despite me clearly saying about 20 times I just wanted to cancel the order.
Really cool, cute toys. I did have some trouble getting my subscription switched from Super Chewer to their Classic Box. It was frustrating, took a lot of my time to reach out to them to continually request this change. I'm the end the toys are great!
Chewy can get my order to my house in less than 24 hours... but bark box takes weeks but they will take the payment very quickly!
My puppy doesn't even like the toys but I'm told that I can't cancel my subscription because I clicked 12 months. Absolutely ridiculous.

I have had a subscription for about 5 months and my dog got lymphoma and isn't going to make it. I mentioned to customer service that I needed to cancel and not only did they take care of that without me requesting it but also refunded my last order and sent me a handwritten card.

Not only have I received the same box 3 times now customer service doesn't see an issue with it, I never receive the items I "add on". This time my dog received a bag of treats absolutely covered in mold. Customer service took three hours to respond and their only solution was to send me more treats with my next box. I have done some digging and Bark box filters what people can see about their company. Really wish I never subscribed to them.
Bark Box is fantastic. It is hilarious and my dog always looks forward to receiving them. The treats are great quality and made in the US. The Bark Box team puts so much thought into these boxes and it shows! We could not be happier!
Very careful with the barkbox, it is over priced, the tracking system is terrible, boxes are often lost in transit it's a pain to try to get a credit on your account and when they do it's not for the full amount, and if you do not mark that you do not want an auto renewal they automatically charge you $38 on top of the first box at the end of every six months buyer beware

My dog, Cooper, has been getting boxes each month for over a year now. He started when he was four months old and the company has been helpful making sure his box is the best for his age and chewing stage. We have never been disappointed in the contents of a box. We just added a new puppy to the family and have already ordered her Bark Box. Now, both dogs will love going to the post office to get "their" mail.
This company could care less about you and your dog. Once you have signed up, forget about cancelling until the 12 months is up. I plan to close my account that is linked to them so they stop charging me for the garbage they are sending. The toys look like they are from the dollar store and my dog quickly chew through them and I have to take away the plastic thing inside. Sammy hates the treats, they all look like they were cut from a piece of rubber but into different shapes. The chew is the only thing he will eat. So we are talking a 3 dollar value each month? Save yourself money and a bunch of hassle with customer service and pass on this "deal"
I ordered a six month subscription with the offer of a free splash pad, the splash pad never arrived they said I checked the wrong box for an extra stuffed animal which is ridiculous because my dog doesn't even play with stuffed animals. A classic bait and switch so they can hook you into a subscription. And you can get everything that was in that box at Walmart for about $15. Save your money!
I tried to change from regular to super chewer because my dog ate all of their toys. Bark box charged me THREE times for ONE box. It took about 4 hours to finally weed through all the extra charges which totaled $90. Now this month, my "super chewer" box arrived with only two small toys and two small bags of treats all costing over $30. The enclosed flyer had a big poster of all the toys that were SUPPOSED TO be in the box. They were all missing but one. Very disappointed. And now it's almost impossible to cancel my subscription! I can only cancel "yearly auto renewal". Trying to reach some human — no one responds. Will never use bark box again.
The boxes are great, they are always special themed and comes with a couple toys and some treats in a box. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is because they won't let you cancel your orders. For example if you got a 12 month package you can't cancel till you have revived the 12 monthly packages.
My dog loves it and he's a bully so for those who know they are aggressive chewers he tears through everything. But has not been able to tear up their toys. I'm so shocked he's tore up every toy I've ever gotten him till now. The treats he didn't like so much but he's a fat kid that likes ppl food so didn't expect him to like their all natural treats. I think it's a great investment but I've only had one box so far. Also the customer service was excellent!

I've never dealt with a company with worse customer service. Super Chewer Box sucks, doesn't last, and they even blocked me on the customer service chat for complaining. Terrible company! They don't care about your dog. All the toys turn into choking hazards because of the low quality and they refuse to do anything about it besides send more replacements of crappy toys that fall apart. Good luck cancelling. Fortunately I signed up with PayPal and was able to remove it from that end.
I'm not a fan of companies who force people to buy their products, even if they aren't happy. I wrote to Bark and said I wasn't happy and now they are making me pay every month for the next six months - even though the chew toys don't work for my dog. So I guess I'm wasting money as well as filling up landfills. Great.
Tried it at first as an easy way to treat the dogs, now the dogs thinks it's Christmas time once a month they get so excited when the box delivery comes. Toys are good quality and the food is customizable.
Super chewer toys are destroyed within seconds and dangerous. In addition -- we were waiting out a 6 month subscription (was good for the first month when my dog was a tiny puppy) and then they automatically renewed without any notification. Very disappointing and complete was of money.
I have a 75lb pit mix and she has some scary jaws and teeth, which are kept very busy with the super chewer box from bark! The box itself isn't exactly cheap but between the quality products, replacement guarantee, and the amazing customer support team, it is more than worth it. Toys are replaces without question and any shipping mishaps are covered very quickly and generously. Bark really rocks!
We thought the neighbors were stealing the BarkBox, but it turns out that FedEx failed to deliver them. Instead they were all returned to the shipper! So does BarkBox bring this to my attention... NO! They just keep it to themselves and say nothing. When I asked them what was going on... no response!
