I'm not one to leave reviews, but for once, I couldn't help it. I had a dog with reactivity issues that we've had to put down recently due to behavioral issues. Their team was super helpful and supportive in getting the box cancelled, and even offered to reach out afterwards to check in. I am and will forever be grateful for their business, and will definitely be coming back to them in the future.
I have to send them an email so I get my box. They took the money out of my account on the 2nd of October and still haven't gotten my box and it is now October 18 2024! Stop play with me!
I have been getting a box for my dog for close to five years and up until recently have been very happy and my dog would get so excited about the arrival of her box. However they have changed the way that people can contact them. You used to be able to get a live person when you called but now you either have to send a text, chat on facebook or leave a message for them to call you back. I have tried several times to contact them but to no avail. I have since cancelled my subscription with them by cancelling my card so that they can no longer take any more money from my account. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.
10/10- The creativity for each box is incredible. We LOVE the little stories and wittiness of each box. Our first box had "hard" chewer items, as it was a trial for us- Barkbox understood that. We changed the chewer to the max and they accommodated with ease. They emailed us about a hazard toy we received and said they'd replaced it, they did just that free at charge. We love it thus far. I was somehow renewed for a six month "commitment" after I thought I canceled. Then customer service made it sound like I couldn't cancel.? I don't want your product. I get nothing but giant rubber toys which litter my yard that the dogs don't like. And most importantly I don't want this product anymore. After haggling with them over email they finally say they will cancel but whoever heard of such a thing? Can't cancel. Right.
This box is awful, the toys are not fun for my dogs, and then I found out some of threats killed people's pets. I have had the 45 or 50 dollar box for over a year just to see. I have canceled 3 times and they keep sending them and will not cancel. No phone number. Now I'm going to have cancel my card to stop charges.
I purchased a Bark Box for my 2 dogs. When it came it had a toy that barks and wiggles. My dogs love it. Also they received all natural jerry treats. I am very pleased. If you have a loving Furry Friend buy them a Bark Box. They come with several Prices. Rate them a 10. Good job BARK BOX. THANKS
First off it is a bit expensive, but the toys and treats are really good and are creative. My dog loves them, and while he chews up almost everything else he gets his mouth on, he does not chew up the toys, he takes care of them. This means that I got 12 boxes of toys and treats but he did not destroy the toys, so I have a large storage box of toys and do not need anymore. When box 12 arrived I was relieved only to get a notification Paypal had been charged for another box. I called the company to be informed there was an Auto ReNew in my account so I will be receiving 12 more boxes and no I cannot cancel. I was told where to find it and de-activate it so I was not renewed again next year. I was told I could modify the boxes so I could receive just treats. When I tried the only thing I could not do was stop the toys. I could add more toys, I could remove treats, but I could not remove toys. I chatted again and was able to reduce to a smaller / cheaper box, but could not cancel.

I was not aware of the Auto-Renew in the account. I was just waiting for the 1 year subscription to end when the toys started piling up. My biggest issue with the company is when they hit me with the Auto-Renew and I immediately called them they would not cancel it.

Charged multiple times for who knows what, none of the charges were even for the same amount. Only wanted the one month subscription to see if it's even worth it, and yet I'm getting charged multiple times? They won't give me a refund or even explain what the charges were for and I haven't even received my package and the tracking number is non existent.
They're charging me for another month, and they won't cancel it because it's in the warehouse being processed. Like cool, cancel it and refund me and stop processing it. How hard is it to say hey don't pack that.
I would love to show up to the warehouse and deal with it myself.
Don't order from here unless you want to overpay, get charged for random things, and not receive your parcel. But they're "sorry". What an absolute JOKE. (Also, the price that they say you're charged won't match what they actually pull from your credit card)

This barkbox device does not curb barking at all! My dogs try to bite the device. Don't waste your money! The lazer on the device even makes it worse. Perhaps this device stops Cats from barking, but is useless in stopping dogs from barking! How do I get my money back? Mark Woods
Well I have no chief complaint about their product I do have a gigantic complaint about the company themselves. This is a subscription that is extremely difficult to get out of. I've tried canceling 4 to 5 times now and they keep renewing against my consent and keep charging me. I don't suggest you get a subscription unless you plan on paying it for a long long time..
I thought I'd try BarkBox since they had a Black Friday Special for $5.00. I signed up and received the box fairly quickly, and not even 2 weeks later a $20 charge came out of my account. Wait, what? This is a monthly subscription, not every week and a half subscription! I went to cancel and you can cancel but only after your year subscription is up.
Also, they send some kind of ham bone or something to my miniature pinscher, and it's bigger than his head! Lastly, they send regular junk store toys that are shredded within minutes and you have to watch your dog so it's not eating stuffing and squeakers. Don't get ripped off by this company!
I asked to cancel the remainder of my 6 month contract. Barkbox is not living up to its advertising. Gor medium dog you get tiny toys. And the treats are bizarre food combinations. I got a very very long email from "Ruthie" stating NO, along with telling me to read the contract. Well the contract doesnt state nor imply that i will receive crappy toys. The ones in the ads are paid upgrades. I may file a complaint with the BBB for false advertising. UPDATE 4/21/2022. Minutes after i emailed "do not upgrade or send any replacement", i received an email stating replacements are on the way. I hope they don't charge. I just want to be done with them.
I have no issues with the actual box and product but if anything happens with you not receiving a box or a shipment that isn't your fault customer service will not do anything to help and will be cynical. Horrible experience and for that alone I am canceling.

I'm very unhappy with the company. I subscribed for my dog they charged me but never received the package. I tried to contact with them but impossible to talk with anybody except chat or email. The person couldn't give me an answer for the missing package. Trying to follow up in business hours no one is responding. I will cancel all my subscription.
Decided to try Barkbox for my 2 Malinois and my Boston Terrier. They are sharing one box started three months ago. All but one toys from the first 2 boxes are still intact. And they like the baked treats. My third box was stolen from the post office parcel box, and the company replaced it even though it was clearly not their fault. Would highly recommend this. The dogs and I have fun with the boxes!
Treats were great. Toys were crap. Thin material. My 12 lb teddy bear dog had them torn to shreds in 30 min and stuffing was everywhere! He also almost swallowed the small balloon inside the toy!
The toys are equivalent to dollar store small stuffed toys and were destroyed and stuffing was everywhere.
Save your many and go to pet smart!
This appears to be a scam. We did not order this. We don't even have a dog! I tried to call the company. You have to deal with them on line through a chat feature. I told them we did not order this and I wanted to know who it was from. (I thought maybe a friend was pulling a prank on us) He said it was not a gift and asked me to check our credit card. They charged our credit card! I don't know how they got our information. Now we have to try to deal with canceling the subscription and getting our money back for this box. (Wish I could give them no stars, but it's not an option)
It is nice to have the bark box come each month, both for the dog and its owners as I feel like we all sit around to read the theme and analyze the toys and treats. Sometimes the toys are a little redundant and the treats may not always be ones you approve of, but overall the experience is pretty solid. I do wish they had an option where you wouldn't receive toys that squeek. His favorite toy to date is the Bison!
Bark Box lures its customers by showing all the cute dog toys and saying "if you're not happy with toys we will replace and will customize to what your dog likes"… what they fail to mention is can only upgrade or change the box subscription ONCE. If you don't like the "super chewer toys" for instance and wish to go back to original bark box they will require you to cancel and restart a WHOLE new subscription. BS. Just a way to make more $$$ They could care less about customer service or "customizing" This is the hard plastic toy I got that they promised would not be sent in his box again! I cancelled it all together …

I signed up for a six month package with BarkBox. The first few months my dog enjoyed the treats and chews. He was never into the toys. As we moved into month 4 and 5, i noticed he was not into the treats anymore. I contacted Barkbox prior to the six month o ensure my subscription was cancelled. However they delayed on responding to me and when they finally responded, i was told i waa auto renewed for another 6 months. I feel this is a very deceptive business practice and i want to warn others about Barkbox and their deceptive business practices.
My dogs literally shred the toys within 10 minutes and I have the super chewer box. My other dog chipped her tooth on one of the bones. I wish I knew how bad quality the toys were before buying a year's subscription…

I ordered only chicken treats, but they ended up ignoring it and sending Lamb and Beef treats. Also, My dog threw up everything they sent (even the non- meat treats). The quality of the treats isn't great for the amount paid.
This company lures you in w/wonderful promotional items, you never get. Still no box for Feb.

NEVER RECEIVED the promotional blanket or my February box. Took over an hour to get answers, since you can't talk to a live person, everything is via chat online or email. What a waste of an hour of my time. I cancelled my subscription, but was told they normally don't cancel. When you don't get the items, you pay for or the promotional items they LURE you with to sign up - why would I keep my subscription? HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OVERALL, COMPANY!

I've subscribed with this co for 6 months now. I have a golden retriever. 13 mo old. I feel the company is really trying to please their customers. My pup tore all their toys and swallowed some. I texted them and switched over to super chewer. My pup loved all his treats and toys. When my 6m subscription ended the last box came over a month late. And inside the box was a repeated box which we already owned. I texted the company again they immediately sent out replacements. I was satisfied with talking to them. They got back very quickly and made it right. I would recommend the co and products. Just be open and communicate with them.

I would give Bark Box a negative review if I could, just like someone else said. I ordered a bunch of their products, toppers, because one of my dogs suddenly decided he doesn't like any food...and I put them on a subscription, because I thought this would work. But, surprise, he didn't like the toppers either.
I went to cancel, and you can't cancel the subscription yourself, you have to contact customer service. I did, and "Jean and Bilbo" (oh, so cute, they let you know about their dogs, so maybe you won't cancel?) got back to me and wanted to know just exactly why I was cancelling. She said at the end of the email, I should realize, the subscription was not cancelled until I responded. I responded angrily, telling her to just cancel...I wanted it canceled, and that's all the info she needed. She refused, sending me another note, saying she really needed to know, and would not cancel until I responded.
I will never order from them again, and advise everyone to steer clear.
I placed an order for toys, was very careful when filling out the address, a unit number was included on an "additional" box on the order page as there wasn't space for it in the main address line. Apparently that additional box is useless as no unit number was on the package sent out for delivery. Weeks later I checked my tracking number and saw it said returned to sender. I contacted the company and was told it was returned to them and asked to verify the address. I responded they dropped the unit number somehow and asked for it to be resent ASAP. The response said half of the items I ordered were no longer available. So they received my order back, disassembled it and resold items without ever advising me or giving me a refund. Absolutely despicable. Had I not reached out apparently I was never going to be notified or get my money back.
