“If anyone has ever tried online dating with other websites...”

If anyone has ever tried online dating with other websites out there, then you know how much effort you have to put in just to find someone attractive online. This website simply helps eliminate that challenge. It actually helps me focus on character/education more easily because attraction is already taken care of.

Found the same chicks photo that hit me up with a different age, height, and city lived in. So either they dont screen very well or its a scammer trying to get money. But definitely don't trust this site. I should have researched this date site first. Waste of money! Is this the same girl LOL

The reason I put one star was because I have not yet been accepted so I cannot really rate it. But it is interesting I was wondering do females get to vote on applicants that are females or do they only vote on males? Because I think if there are guys on there and they see another guy trying to get it wouldn't they just say no and absolutely not? Seems like a perfect tactic. My personal experience with dating sites was that even though I state seeking a women and I am straight a lot of man hit me up :/ So that would mean my sex finds me attractive. So if my sex finds me attractive wouldn't the females find me attractive because so far I have 4 (absolutely not) and 6 (No) 23 (Hmmm OK) and 13 (beautiful) votes. (figured that out with a ruler. 25cm is equal to 1 vote.) But that isn't the problem also because earlier I had (25 hmm OK) which is strange. Well so far it says I am in but I am a little bit skeptical because I have seen a lot of guys posing as girls I even had one girl check me out before I even got out, she was cute. But just checking if I get in.

I heard of this on the news the other day, they really harped on it and said only 1 in 10 actually get voted in. So, I tried it and thought it can't be as ridiculous as they say. I would consider myself maybe a 4 and I got accepted after my 48 hour voting period was over. Finally, I could check out the site since I was "in". I already had about 40 messages in my message box, however I couldn't check it. 1. I thought it was a free site for not just dates, but for exclusive parties etc. I couldn't find anything at all on it and I am tech savvy. Do you have to pay to see events? Get invited? 2. Nothing but a bunch of old nasty creeps, how did they get voted in?!? 3. You can't look at messages or send any unless you pay. What's the point in the free site if you have to pay to send messages or read them? These news pieces I have seen and heard claim it's completely free.
The whole concept for the site is misadvertised after seeing the " beautiful people" on the site and it's really unprofessional. I was on there for about 15 minutes then decided to delete it. I'm not here to bash "ugly" people, but for a site who claims to be so exclusive I sure don't see any exclusivity going on...

Tip for consumers:
Just don't.

I was voted in! I am a guy in late 20s. I just decided to try this site for fun and was voted in. Just for fun I tried different pics of mine and the thing I noticed is that the more my pic is average, the more "beautiful" votes I get and the more really attractive pic I post of myself the more "absolutely not" votes I get! Lol. This little experiment of mine proves that women on this site are highly insecure, jealous and will actually vote you down if you are really attractive! Lol. Also as a member that has been voted in, I see that a LOT of average women get voted in! Its too easy for women to get voted in, she just has to show some cleavage and shouldn't be fat, thats all seem to be the requirements of guys. Lol. I think most of these average women deliberately vote down a really attractive guy as they know that they really dont have an iota of chance in real life with a very good looking guy. Lol. So if you are a decent looking guy and you are being voted out, dont get demoralize, actually that could mean that you are INDEED attractive and the average women on this site are deliberately voting you down! Lol :)

Sweet, many hot girls, I am not complaining :P. And you can get feedback about how you look - this what actually tempted me to apply to get there. Otherwise, there is not enough members really to find any one your age, living next to you.

And I agree, about everything you write, about the shallowness of the members, that despite the fact that we are 'beautiful' we are needy enough to join a dating page.(actually true about me). Although girls and boys surely are not models, for instance i never considered myself beautiful, and i got 98% of positive reviews, i thought the page was scam, so i searched for discussion groups such as this one.

Still reading your comments, and seeing how pissed off are you, I must say that it seems to me that most of you would participate in the page, if you could. What do i think about all that. World is a disgusting place, and the way male mates are chosen by female is disgusting, even if they are not looking at the looks of a guy. They will take the most 'powerful', respected by the society, to make sure that their offspring has a save future. I think that our nature is disgusting, and there is nothing we can do about it, it is like saying that law of gravitation is not moral. And to be honest, i think that there will be more sites like this in the future, and they will be much more accepted by the society, so I do not see any reason why I would limit my sex life, because i live in times in which dating sites are considered 'lame'.

Be pissed off, you have every right. I may be shallow and pathetic, I probably am.
And REALLY, HONESTLY I think you deserve someone who got accepted, to discuss this stuff, with you.

I only heard of this site after hearing an interview where a person involved in running this site basically advised applicants to post professional or airbrushed photos. I found this strange that you were supposedly voting on beauty through images that in reality do not exist. Having looked at some of the photos on this site the amount of them that were so obviously airbrushed was amazing that one would ask the question if these people were so confident in their own appearance why bother altering their image. In real life you cannot change the lighting to show yourself in the best light nor can you airbrush the features that you want to alter or change. I decided to submit an altered webcam photo with no makeup applied except lipgloss and some concealer as expected I was deemed ugly but i did take some small comfort from the rejection that 36 members voted positively. Was i hurt by those who voted negatively of course it has an impact but when i thought about it, I am probably more confidant and successful than they are so no it did not affect me at all. I wish the media would stop giving the founders of this website airtime to spread their vile unrealistic message and to stop printing their own press release like when they said they had removed members who had put on some weight, as a person involved in business this was so obvious a pr stunt but unfortunately it has worked in their favor.

In essence I have no problem with the concept of this site if people want to join so be it but I do have a problem on judgement being passed by those who alter their photos.

In reality I think most people who be far more interested in the likes of Bill Gates as opposed to some of these enhanced beautiful people.

I'm open to the possibility that beautifulpeople.com is a scam.

- the user interface of the site is poor. Everytime you click on a link in the navigation bar it opens up a brand new tab. This means that you get many tabs sitting on top of each other. Bizarre UI decision. The site doesn't look good.
- the links within the website don't always work (do nothing or go to a page with an error message)
- sometimes when I click on a person's name it takes me to a page that says "thanks for voting" even though I never voted and I'm not even an accepted member
- one time when I clicked on a person's name it asked me to vote for the person's picture even though I am not an accepted member

- There's a "social stream" which is like a news feed that says one girl from the Czech Republic gave me a positive vote, but that's it. No other news feed items in 48 hours. You're telling me in 48 hrs only 1 girl gave me a positive vote? And also my photo has the exact same rating now (4.97) as it did when I first registered on the site. How come it didn't change a single tick in 48 hrs? As far as I know only 1 person ever gave my photo a rating (if that).
- the "twitter feed" comments and profile descriptions seem fake. For example:

Here is an example profile description of "Biff" from Canada:
"I am the pinnacle of awesomeness. I love cars, guitars, water, pianos, and evidently, lots of other $#*!. I majored in computer science, minored in math, and work as an IT professional for a research firm. God I'm so sexy. If i were gay, I'd be all over me."

- the news feed items on people's pages seem repetitive, some even mention that {person A} wrote on {Person B}'s wall with the exact same text twice in a row.

- inconsistent functionality. The site doesn't "feel right".

I actually first heard about this site on the news where there was an issue with a girl who was not allowed on the site fully because other members did not think that she was "beautiful" enough. This site is all about discrimination and bias and the tool of that bias and discrimination is the so-called "beauty" rating system of the site.

When one signs on the site one becomes an applicant of the site. However to have a continued presence on the site one must be "verified" as "beautiful" in the eyes of the other members. This is clear 100% discrimination and prejudice against others based on looks. The site claims that is does this for business purposes but discrimination can always be in the disguise of "business" and still will always be discrimination.

Here is what the site sends you when one now becomes a member on the site

"beautifulpeople

"Thank you - Your application profile was successfully created

Dear XXXXX,

Your BeautifulPeople profile has been successfully activated.

Over the next 48 hours, your profile will be rated by existing members of the opposite sex. If the majority finds your profile attractive, you will be granted coveted membership.
During the next 48 hour rating period, you can view your running status in real time in the rating section.

Follow your profile's rating status
BeautifulPeople.com wishes you every success.

Sincerely,
BeautifulPeople"

Frankly I could care less if others think I am not "beautiful" in their eyes because I am content with who I am regardless as to what others think about me. This beautiful people site is basically about baseless prejudice and should be brought down because of its practices.

I, too, turn heads, and yes, have modeled. I even won a scholarship and went to school, and had a commercial agent. I'm not saying I'm a goddess, but I'm saying I'm definitely not ugly. And yes, I have great pics, yet it was a no go. Perhaps because I put up a conservative picture? I was wearing tight jeans and a pretty white tube top - not singed tight or anything, but tasteful. You could see my shoulders, and a bit of my flat abs. I was a bit tan and my hair and face looked awesome. This photo gets compliments, but alas, no. Lol. It sort of swung left to right a lot, but got stuck in the middle.

Anyway, I've had guys who don't find me attractive, and people who didn't want to hire me for modeling. I've had some describe me as "exotic" and others describe me as "beautiful" usually. I guess, as they say, it's subjective. Although beauty might be mainstream and what the media tells us.

I'm not disappointed or anything, but I just thought I'd give it a shot. I thought it was interesting. But to everyone out there, don't take this site seriously. It's a gimmick and the owners are scum. I saw and read the reports and interviews and etc. The owner is a shallow mean spirited person. Also, the guys on this site are NOT hot. Some are okay, but most of them are average. I saw quite a few who looked like they could be Tori Spelling's brother. NO JOKE! This is a popularity contest, I think. I mean, look at all the really young guys on here. They're in college or just graduated and don't really have much going for themselves - yet that is. These are people who are not ready for relationships.

There is no way that this is a real dating site. No way. These men and women are not relationship material. They're good for a fling but that's all.

I didn't have interest in this site because although I am BEAUTIFUL I'm so much more then that and it bothers me that guys are always after me for looks and don't spend the time to get to know me before asking for more pictures or wanting proof it really is me. My friend heard about it on the radio and they were talking about people having plastic surgery to get in... COME ON REALLY PEOPLE... she didn't get voted in so she wanted me to try... Yes I was voted in the first time which I wasn't surprised about... I think a big thing to consider though is a lot of guys are a lot more judgmental on looks then girls and have a much smaller range of attraction so its harder for women to get in... I would only say around 20% of the guys on there are what I would say was cute or would expect other girls to say was cute. But around 50% I could say ahhh well your alright looking I guess. Which leaves me with only a couple guys in my state that I would have any interest in. Its hard to have faith in the rating system when it isn't broken into ages, country, or anything at all so well as a 24 year old American women no I would not say that this 55 year old is cute but yeah I could see how a 45 year old women would think so. Also it seems to let people in only if over a certain percent are in the yes side and at least a certain amount say absolutely beautiful and under a certain amount say no... Also profile info doesn't really help you get in since its shown more as here's the pics yes ok no absolutely not... Also there are guys I would say are totally beautiful but they seem to not get in possibly because the women voting are older or only looking for black men who knows... theres also no FAQ that I can find anywhere and some things I aren't self explanatory maybe they are more if you pay but it doesn't seem to be worth my money...

Been here for some time and In IMHO it worths if you have premium account to get dates etc for free its account people ts an EGO game, witch is good if you have good self esteem. People have to accept their flaws. I had not been rated "beautiful" and "hmm ok" i got a verified account wich means im Royal Realand Beautiful before this site was created and all i have to say is that i still keep up to my Teens or i like to think. I wasn´t even may not be the preetier by thesubjective standarts of some Ugly Envious people so many Ugly ppl of this planet on universe but quite im know im quite good im WHITE AND BLOND but actually i rated and een rated countless of people of all races from all over the world. The idea orginal idea is being a selective site for Beautiful genetically blessed people wich i am so thankfull to my parents and their genes. Nowdays it seems non selected and full of scams and some ugly people need more norther women from all races. Its still an alternative for other websites like this. If your honest youll get honest feeddack lots of scamers easilly detected it been rated plenty of things there must be some automated Systems

When it comes to the dating service "Beautiful People", the following comes to
Mind: shallow. No exceptions. Yesterday, when I was on my lunch break, I was
Watching the news and your dating service was on television. The fact is fact. Your
Dating service has no class whatsoever. None. In fact, this definitely applies to the
Portion of your dating service involving turning "ugly people" into "good looking people"
And not to mention voting "ugly people" off. No exceptions. No class. I am not a perfect
Individual, but I am a giver; not a taker (i. E., regarding how I live my life 24/7). I may not
Live life in the form of the "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", especially when it comes to
Looks, but I have a heart and/or I always make an effort to have a good heart(i. E., regarding helping others). No exceptions. In fact, if you clueless clowns just for once make an effort to have all the facts before judging a person, maybe your dating service
Will have "integrity" one day. For the record, I am not perfect and/or we all have our guilty
Pleasures. Absolutely. But I do have a heart. It hurts. You have gifts that people would love to have (i. E. starting a business and being successful). Of course. But you do not use the gift wisely. No exceptions. In fact, because of dating services of your particular
Nature, the following applies. First, I do not believe in love. Secondly, I have no self esteem whatsoever. Furthermore, I am a social agoraphobic. On other words, I will avoid
Social situations including happy couples and weddings. Also, I will avoid love stories and
Want to have a place to myself and/or be in isolation. Even though I still have a productive
Life (i. E., both on a professional and personal level combined) and I am still seeing "medical personnel" and/or a doctor to treat my social agoraphobia and other issues, the fact is fact. Everything else still applies. The dating service, "Beautiful People"
Is heartless. In fact, I have already accepted the possibility of being "alone" the rest of my
Life. Furthermore, because of dating services like yourself, to me, love is a myth and I have not opened my heart to a potential "special someone" in 21 years. Like I said, I am
Currently seeing a doctor in an attempt to turn my "beliefs"(i. E., regarding love) around.
Absolutely. However, because of services like yourself, I am having a hard time doing so;
Even though I am trying to feel "vice versa", regarding love. In fact, I was on the verge of
Becoming an "atheist". But luckily, due to my doctor, I believe in God again. Bottom line, "Beautiful People" has no heart whatsoever. Just for once. Please show some respect. On other words, before you judge a person, look at all the facts. Nobody is
Perfect. But make an effort to look at all the facts. I may be a "single and career driven
Individual". But I have a heart. Get a life! You all have a nice day.

Sincerely,

The "single man".

I've been a member for about 6 months and I judge a site by whether is it legit or a scam and how user friendly it is and I give this one good marks and the profiles are real and I have converted several over to my facebook. I introduced a 39Y old friend to the site who was feeling bad about her social life and now she complains about too many younger guys winking at her. I told her to quit complaining.
UPDATE-- OK. I got an email from sitejabber that my review above has been read 90,000 times and a lot of time has passed since i wrote it. Just remember, with anything there is good and bad. Yes, there are scammers and fake profiles on every date site, but they are easy enough to spot. If somebody doesnt take the time to finish their profile the probably arent serious or they only post one foto... dont waste your time with them. I met a girl on here who told me she was scammed for a lot of money. She thought she was contributing to a charitable foundation and it wasnt. In my search of trying to find a good site, the best thing about this site is you dont have to pay for every message or sentence u write to somebody the way you do on dating.com or their affiliated sites sites which include amolatina, yourtravelmates, anastasia or asianan date, etc. When i first joined this site, it was quite exclusive in terms of meeting the 'beautiful: criteria, but now, it seems a bit of a free for all. I mainly like that i can buy credits through googleplay and dont have to give a date site my credit card. That is worth 2 stars right there. Im not on the site much but i keep the basic membership so i dont have to sign up again.
No kidding though, i met some outstanding real girls on the site including a mortgage broker, a theater producer, a model/fashion blogger, an accountant and a london boutique hotel owner. That is more than i can say for the other sites ive tried out.

Tip for consumers:
I always got a good response from the customer support people by email even though they didnt have live onine chat support. my value and quality rating would be higher if they had more user-members.

OK, so, I have previously got work modelling... Not through having "quirky" looks, but through being straightforwardly beautiful. Please understand that I would NEVER talk in this way without the cover of anonymity, as I would fully expect anyone reading this to peg me as a narcissistic arrogant wankstain. However, as I'm writing a review of a website I feel that I can say this... Actually I feel as though I MUST say this, because people less sure of their looks than me (but who may in most people's eyes may look every bit as attractive) might allow their self-esteem to suffer if they confuse the distorted almost random results produced by beautifulpeople.com with any meaningful real-life perception.

In real life since I was about 14 I have had strangers approach me and straight out tell me I'm good looking. I've had girls who only met me for ten seconds write me beautiful lengthy correspondence telling me that they're in love with me. Girls stop in mid-conversation with each other to do double-takes on the street as I walk by them. In short; if there is anyone in the world who can be anything like objectively sure of their looks, I suppose it's me (oh, and of course Johnny Depp).

Now, the first time I applied to join beautifulpeople.com it was so I could view the large sized pics on people's profiles (I was asked to help cast 10 non-famous but beautiful people for a film, and it seemed like a reasonable way to go about it). At first plenty of yes votes came in without any no votes, and so I saw the 'swingometer' move favourably to the right (to the 'accepted' position). But then, after a few hours, a sudden wave of 'absolutely not' votes appeared, and by the end of the 48 hours I was not accepted. I have light skin and blue eyes, so given the predominantly white European demographic, I can't imagine racism could have been the explanation. Either fairly beautiful people (6-8 types, such as those who are apparently found on that site) feel threatened by very beautiful people (8-10 types, who by all accounts are quite uncommon there), or perhaps a lot of the existing members want to feel part of an elite, and so they no-vote any and all new applicants, regardless of perceived beauty... or there's some sort of random element to the site which makes it anyone's guess who will be declined.

Oh, and no I won't post my pic here (would kind of undermine the whole anonymous thing mentioned above).:)

Just to say though, if you get declined by beautifulpeople.com, DON'T let it affect you AT ALL. People who spend their whole lives being complimented on their looks sometimes don't get accepted there either. Beautifulpeople.com is a meaningless and by all accounts poorly designed website. There you go. $#*! you beautifulpeople.com! :D
