They get rid of your account as soon as you have enough points for whatever crappy reward they claim to offer.
I ordered a puppet for my grandson, He really wanted it. After several weeks they informed me it was no longer available. BizRate was quick to blame the vendor, They accepted NO responsibility, NO accountability, why would anyone use this service, it is horrible. The fact that they use the word Christian for there scam is not acceptable. Please NEVER< NEVER use this vendor
Bizrate employs the 'bait and switch' tactic to lure consumers into divulging per-
Sonal/financial information (which is ILLEGAL). Furthermore, the website offers NO WAY to cancel the swindle on the website once the consumer realizes the
Ruse --- which is a violation of the consumer protection laws.
I don't read magazines. If I had know magazines had anything to do with the $100.00, I would NOT have wasted my time with the survey.
I chose to write a review for a website via Bizrate. At the end of the review came the scam. A $100 reward. Pick a magazine for FREE! Nothing in this world is FREE, so I tried to bypass the Reward and submit my review. OH, NO! It would not let me continue to submit my survey without getting stuck with a magazine-none of which I want to read. Been there, done that! NO MORE! Once the FREE magazine subscription ends, you get billed for a real subscription. Don't do the surveys!
I've been able to successfully redeem the $2 annual magazine subscriptions several times and made it work by marking the renewal date on my calendar so I can call and make sure they don't renew automatically at the regular expensive rate. However, the survey thing I think is a complete scam. The suspicious thing about it is that every time you click on a survey or complete one, it has your browser hang and hang and hang for such a long time (one said "Checking your internet capabilities") that the only reasonable answer would be that they're installing multitudes of cookies and gathering info from my computer. Every time you complete a survey it says DON'T CLOSE YOUR BROWSER YET! IF YOU CLOSE YOUR BROWSER BEFORE THE COUNTDOWN IS COMPLETE YOU WON'T RECEIVE YOUR POINTS! No legitimate survey company does anything remotely like this. So all I can surmise is that bizrate surveys are NOT SAFE. And not worth all the effort, tracking, and suspicious activity that ensues.
I just took a survey that Bizrate Rewards emailed to me. It says, "Earn up to 750 Points by taking a quick 15 minute survey.". So I take the survey and it takes about 10 minutes and when I come to the end of it, I get a message from Bizrate saying, "The survey has reached it's quota... 50 points will be added...". WTH! I just took time out to answer questions about my healthcare and then I get a message saying the quota was reached. This isnt the 1st time this has happened. Why answer questions, if you only get screwed by Bizrate in the end?
You need to change something or you won't have anyone to take your surveys. This isn't fair to people who take time out of their day to answer questions.
WHAT A FRAUD.
This BizRate will set cookies in your browser, Trojans on your computer and change you search provider without your okay. Then every time you purchase something or go to a website, they will pop up with rate your experience with he company you did business with.
They will make themselves appear as part of the company you just did business with or represent themselves as authorized by the company you did business with to tell them how they are doing.
Next thing you know SPAM and heaven help you if you fall for one of their "deals" that only requires shipping and handling!
They will say $2 then take out double the amount PLUS, if you don't keep an eye on your account, take more money out of it (I lost $88.83 + $2 double billed through one of their other companies "Bargain Depot Club").
If you see BizRate come up on your computer, assume two things:
#1. Your computer is or has been infected by BizRate. Immediately do whatever you have to to remove them a from your computer and run every Malware programs you can find.
If you get ripped off, do what I am doing, filing a consumer complaint as well as a fraud complaint with your States' Attorney General's Office, the Comptroller of the Currency (Comptroller is not a miss spelling), U.S. Dept. Of the Treasury, the BBB, and as for me being elderly file complaints with your States Elderly Abuse agency and as a Veteran, every Veterans Org. You can contact to make everyone aware of this company.
I warned you all that if my money was not returned that I would raise holy hell. You thought I was joking.
Guess what? I WAS NOT JOKING.
The only place I left my address was for bizrate to respond with Haggar deals. Within two days I was inundated with spam. It really is BSrate, they are making money exposing your address. Total BS.
Every time I click to do a survey, it tells me that the quota has been fulfilled but I get 25 or 50 points. Even when I do the survey, it still only gives me a few 25 or 50 points, even though it promises up to 2,500. It's a waste of time and effort.
It said you could get up to $100 for filling out a survey, only at the end of the survey do you find out that it's up to $100 worth of magazine subscriptions. I don't read or want any magazines.
On 5/23 I received an e-mail from them regarding a cancelled purchase from ThinkGeek. I responded on their feedback form that the purchase was CANCELLED and they shouldn't send e-mails asking to rate a product until they actually verified that the order was fulfilled and not... you know... CANCELLED.
Then on 5/28 I received a "reminder" e-mail to rate my order. The one that, you know, was CANCELLED. I have since blocked their entire domain because I do not enjoy being harassed about orders and especially not CANCELLED orders.
My advice? Avoid this company and any company that partners with them.
Eyeglasses dot com uses BizRate to " endorse " their web site. Eyeglasses dot com is a foreign owned Chinese manaufacturing company masquerading as a USA company.
While BizRate endorses Eyeglasses.com they are both shams. Avoid.
Same! I bought something from Overstock. As soon as my transaction was completed on the Overtstock check-out page, it sent me to Bizrate who promised $100 for completing a survey. When I finished, my $100 was really a page of magazines where you choose up to 4 for your time. To get your magazines, you're sent to a check-out page where you HAVE to enter your credit card information to get your subscriptions. BUT you are CHARGED $2 for EACH subscription - and that's just at the beginning. Once they have your card info, you really get STOLEN FROM! THANKS SO MUCH OVERSTOCK FOR SENDING YOUR CUSTOMER TO THE BIZRATE SCAM. NOW I'M YOUR EX-CUSTOMER.
Do not sign up for anything that's related to Bizrate if you don't want to be spammed. I made the mistake of doing so through Overstock, and now I keep getting Bizrate's emails. Even though I've I unsubscribed at least three times, their emails are still coming through. So beware!
Why is it that the surveys take longer than stated and you never give the up to points you advertise?
I have reported you Bizrate for your scams and distributing my credit card information... KARMA will get you!
I filled out a survey and was offered 4 magazines for $2.00. I reluctantly chose 4 and got a bill for $8. 00. 4 mags@ $2 each. That was not the deal offered. If I could put them out of business, I would. I had to click on one of the star ratings. I would have given it a minus if I could.
Answer: Susan, Go to TMESUB.com and you will see their number to get a live person. It is: 1 (877) 755-8550. Talk to someone there and don't take "no" for an answer. Tell them you want to cancel the subscriptions that you wish to cancel. Tell them you want a full refund. If they say no, then tell them that you will dispute any charges with your credit card company. This will get them to reconsider. Be sure and be firm. If that doesn't work, call the credit card company and dispute the charges. Hope this helps. Barbara
