This is the second time calling for assistance and it was great/ your tech support also helping my developers solve the problem. It took some time but we got it resolved. I had Bluehost when if fist launched my website, and for reasons I can't figure out why SEO team decided to move my newly develop site. But it did happen!. Anyway, I'm glad to be back and looking for long and lasting relationship.
Our experience was great because of generous in terms of user numbers and unlimited storage, efficient processes, and a focus on customer satisfaction. The hosting excels at providing timely support and ensuring smooth operations, which made everything seamless. One area for improvement could be increasing proactive updates, so customers stay better informed throughout the process.
Your website is garbage. I cannot migrate off of it soon enough. Your insistence in pleasing the lowest common denominator in the user base leaves power users and admin feeling like we are playing with a toy, instead of managing infrastructure.
Because I was forced to.
I really hate when a place "makes improvements" and things get worse for the customer. The new design is terrible, the important things I need to get to are hidden behind multiple clicks, I have to relearn an interface, I had to enter my same credit card a thousand times to cover all my domains...and every time I use support it takes an hour or two, often over several times, to get anything solved. I've had bizarre billing errors, I've had incorrect or confusing information...it's just a terrible user experience overall. I used to rave about Bluehost 10 years ago, now I am only here out of the "inertia" required to migrate to somewhere else.
Because I've been a customer for more than 10 years and like being in a bad marriage, haven't left yet.
Many attempts in sept to get help simply how to access live website building support, which i paid over $250 for one month and your records will show i never ONCE was able to access one call, even one second of help, this was back in sept or early oct... i also tried asking for help hiring someone with BH to design my site and didn't get feedback and i just now spent over 20 min detailing the issues, hoping i would get it resolved, frankly, hoping to still be sold on hiring someone to build my site, then the chat closed down...

The wheel just spins when I go to "Websites" on my account page. It's been that way for two weeks on two different accounts. I don't have 45 minutes to wait for "Chat" that doesn't read what I posted and asks me the same questions multiple times. Might be time to move back to GoDaddy...
I've been charged $200 to renew my website along with a required SSL certificate which resulted in a continued failure of receiving my emails for 2 days and ongoing. Support was made aware of the issue 10 hours after the certificate was certified and failed.
So far I've experienced 80% performance from Bluehost in the past year.
I was on the phone earlier today to ask that the secure certificate be renewed (we already paid for renewal). The guy could not figure out what it was. Then he said he had, and that out website would be up in about half hour. 7 hours later... no. I also did the online chat, and was told some plugin was the problem. Someone in my organization took a look and said the issue is the un-renewed secure certificate. I need it renewed!
I have had so many issues with Bluehost and my email and websites not working and spent hours and weeks trying to get support from tech and anyone who would listen and would take months and months of persistency on my end while losing time and money with my biz and never once do they act concerned or even apologize or follow thru from rep to rep and call to call it has been daunting@
Chat support is very bad, they put you on hold for 10-15 minutes then transfer to another agent, then they either repeat this cycle or tell you that problem will be solved in 24 hours, which does not happen.
Just a poor decision I made.
Bluehost login is the most difficult of any site I use. I appreciate the security, but there is no need to make it so frustrating. And then show me the same advertisement EVERY TIME I log in! If I wanted additional services I would have gotten them by now. Please take me directly to my account page when I log in, and give me a way to STAY logged in so I don't dread using Bluehost.
So far so good. When I did have an issue, it was corrected. Although I had to keep going to different agents to get the problem resolved, there was one who didn't stop until the problem was fixed.
Domain search/purchase
20 days offline, no access to my account, unreliable and slow loading
Seems like bluehost downgraded i past year drastically
2 stars is because there were few people in your support team that actually helped, also I do appreciate you support team reaching out to me by email immediately after they fixed issue.
SSL image serving is broken and nobody at Bluehost will help. Mail.app on iOS/macOS devices will not display remotely served images hosted on my site. Bluehost refuses to help.
Bluehost randomly changed my login from my email, which was working fine for a long time, to just my first name and the last three letters of my last name and I wasn't told this change was coming and had to figure it out on my own. I'd love to know why this was necessary
Your development screens don't make sense to me, can't figure out how to set up the websites and stores that I need. I've done this before, but your stuff seems deliberately obscure so that you can upsell.
Customer service is the deal breaker for any business, by saving money through Philippines call center without proper training, will cost you many customers leaving because they don't have a higher level to complain about the horrible service they received! I'm actively searching for a better hosting provider that they have a true tech support, not a call center, they are a joke! Sadly!
Your BlueSky was great before Covid, horrible during and after Covid, same thing applies to your own tech support, so you are only good for those who will never need tech support, good luck you cut yourself so short!
My Internet provider offers a Home Internet Protection package (McAfee) and it blocks my ability to get into a website that I am trying to start up. So far no one has been able to tell me how to break through the block.
I have had an account with buehost since around 2006/07, when I was going to school for web design. Haven't done too much with it recently, but want to get back into it, and now I cannot get through the block.
The lack of support with our site being down and our domain DNS records (on ALL of our domains) has been horrible. Our livelihood is from our website and being told from Bluehost that it will likely have to wait until Monday. Horrible. 5Q Central and Movement Leaders Collective has been with Bluehost for over a decade. That might be changing.
Just too many changed barring account holders and bluehost trying to make more money by denying previous allowed options and making them paid options.
2 times I used the chat feature to address a problem. I responded to all of the questions. After a along delay, the chat person said "because of the inactivity, I must end this session." I had responded promptly top all questions.
Site is navigation is not intuitive. Also, every time I sign on, I get a splash screen advertising some service that I don't want, and I have to click that I am not interested.
Check on status of domain transfer in to bluehost
I am having on-going problems with my business email using a black listed IP address. I have contacted Bluehost 3 times already and I am still unable to send emails
Support seems to be falling off recently. I have had several support team drop out of chats prior to fixing issues or not fully investigating issues and rushing to solutions that did not work. I am still dealing with an on-going issue with our server
Today I could not log in with my regular log in. And when I put in the email to send me a reminder, it didn't recognize my email for about 10 times. Then sent me a login ID that I have never used before.
I got a refund for the web hosting because we dont use it and it auto renewed two weeks early. The refunded the web hosting but deleted all my DNS information two weeks early. I paid up until April 4th 2024 but they deleted everything once they gave me the refund and canceled my account two weeks early. I tried to speak to someone 4 times to get my information back but each time I was hung up on. VERY POOR SERVICE. I lost all my DNS information and my business email came to a halt. I will be leaving bluehost as well as all my clients I support. I didn't know this would happened and the support I got to restore it was horrible.
I would not.
As a customer of 7 plus years I am dismayed at what has become of Bluehost. They completely changed their fee structure and charged more money for inferior services. Almost overnight one of the most responsive customer service teams in the industry was replaced with people who were unfamiliar with the web hosting industry in general and Bluehost products and services in particular. I am in the process of migrating my 60 plus domains (over $1200 in annual fees lost), to another host who is like what Bluehost used to be. I hope you who are here leave and those who are considering, reconsider. I will make it my mission to repeat this less than stellar review as often as possible
