The security on my website is porous. Not from my end, but on yours. I spend hours each week cleaning up malware files created outside of WordPress and not by me. It is exhausting.
Unfortunately a zero rating is not possible. Overloaded servers. Customer service that is basically 'we haven't a clue when our services or your webstie will next work' -- how would you rate this?!
Not digging all the extra steps to get to cPanel for email. Especially the annoying splash screen at startup every time. Have a box or make it go away after once or twice saying no thanks.
I'm still a new Bluehost user, so far I give 4 stars while studying all the features available. Later, maybe I will come back again to provide an update on the review.
I've called Bluehost on multiple occasions for WordPress and hosting support. Each and every time, I am always greeted with excellent customer service!
Quite frankly Bluehost is ramping up its push - that is forcing you to spend more on hosting. It's not appreciated definitely makes me look around at your competition.
Since the move to Square my account profile has new services that I did not asked for and furthermore it is not clear about the service to be renewed.
I upgrade to Word Press Choice Plan, with 3 websites, I fail to add another one, I contact by online chat many times (I give 5 for all), but still the same, my Domain is ayamin.net (User name: Alayamin), I want to add another domain ruknwalaa.com.
I bought the e-commerce bundle on Nov 22nd all the functionality didn't work until 12/8. Then when finally got it installed, the sales & discount portion not working properly
I have been using BlueHost for about two years now. It was fine until I started to create campaigns; I needed landing pages and subdomains for these landing pages. I asked for help to connect the subdomain with the landing page provider - something that is supposed to be a very easy task, especially if you work in a support group of a worldwide known hosting provider. However, all the possible mistakes were made; I spoke with a few chat consultants, and My case was escalated; the First person from escalated support sent me an email informing me that my issue was solved, but nothing was solved. She just didn't read the ticket carefully and didn't even know what the problem was, DNS was still pointing to the wrong address. It strikes me as highly unprofessional. Then, when another person from the escalated team acted and the landing page started to work, I noticed the main domain was down cause they changed DNS of that domain as well, even though not only were they not asked to do so, but many times I let them know to be careful and asked them specifically not to change DNS for the main domain, cause I knew that will cause an issue. In my experience basic support has no clue about what they should do, they probably mechanically use some manual, unfortunately without giving it a simple thought. Their responses sound automatic and generic. Anyway, most of the times they don't have skills and knowledge to solve issues that are not 100% standard. I know for sure I'm gonna change hosting provider soon. I have also experience with other companies and yeah there are better options on the market.
I called a couple months ago and paid. Now it says my account will be deleted again. Seeming like a scam. Also another account is under my name again. Such a sloppy way to do business.
I thought it was gonna be $35. You charged us $119! Not ok
We've been having persistent issues with our emails and website for the past one year. The quality of products offered is poor and the support agents are poorly trained
Out of the box, brand new website and many plugins and 1 theme are giving me problems. FTP certificate will not match my account therefore I can't connect to ftp
The dynamic of Bluehost opting to move strictly to Wordpress and not really support anything else is bad. I have been with Bluehost almost 15 years and chose it because it did not favor one platform over another and because the customer service was way above the mark. This is no longer the case. The staff seems like the fallout of people trying to get a job from the COVID era as they barely know the system outside of the "scripts" they are given to repeat things like a parrot instead of being knowledgeable about anything NOT Wordpress. It is so bad that I am looking for a new host AND falling my 36 clients whom I've brought to Bluehost that it's time to switch. The Wordpress bias is irritating, and the customerservice has dropped so much I no longechoose to deal with it.
My domain name should be AlwaysLoveTheDetails.com. When I registered it was entered as such. The account information I was sent through email says my domain is vgq.bdh.mybluehost.me (which was already entered into that slot on the initial form) and my user name is vgqbdhmy. My user name should be IrishCherokee. I tried to log in after taking several days break for a death of a friend and realized the user name was not what I entered when filling out your form. How do we correct this?
Confusing interface for web development. I have really struggled to link pages to eachother and create homepage, menu, etc. Still struggling to be honest
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
Hi Jan,
I just took a look at your website and see that everything is up and running. If you continue to run into any issues please do not hesitate to give our support team a call. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
