Robert was such an amazing help in trying to find the perfect diamond for our setting. It's lovely and we are very happy. I actually would never think of buying another diamond from any place but from blue Nile
I recently purchased two wedding rings from Blue Nile, having them shipped all the way to London from the United States. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Upon receiving the rings, I noticed that the bride's ring had a noticeable black mark on the inside—something that should have been caught during a proper inspection before shipping. When I contacted customer service, the options they provided were far from satisfactory. They offered to send the ring back for repair, but this would take an unacceptable two months, leaving me close to my wedding abroad in the Philippines with no guarantee of having the ring in time. Their other options were just as disappointing: either accept a refund for the flawed ring, which would leave me with one unmatched ring, or pay out of pocket to have it repaired by a local jeweler in London. Given the distance this ring had to travel, it's frustrating that Blue Nile did not take the necessary care to ensure everything was perfect. The lack of a viable solution and the long wait for repairs have left me deeply unsatisfied. I expected better quality control and customer service from a company with such a reputation, especially when dealing with something as important as wedding rings.
We ordered a men's wedding band. It arrived in a timely manner and is of excellent quality. We couldn't be happier.

I ordered a ring from bluenile and thank god they let me do a free return. It was not at all what they said it was going to be.
I ordered a necklace and it arrived next day. It is beautiful, exactly what I hoped, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase from Blue Nile.

Hi Mike, thank you for the sparkling review. We are so happy to hear that your order arrived quickly and that you love it. And we look forward to helping you with purchases in the future!
I attempted to buy a ring from them (engagement setting without the diamond). When I tried to add the ring to my cart, it wouldn't let me. I chatted with one of their reps and he told me that I needed to buy the diamond from them. I wanted to buy a lab grown diamond from a different site since Blue Nile doesn't sell lab grown diamonds. The guy was pushy and tried to convince me to buy a diamond from them. The lab grown I ended up buying was $9,000 versus a natural one on Blue Nile that would have cost me nearly $80,000. Thanks but NO thanks!
The rep said they could sell the ring but I would have to sign paperwork acknowledging that it would just be the ring without the prongs, that the warranty would be void as soon as I added prongs, the ring would come in a "standard size" and would need to be resized, and a several other caveats. The guy said it was pretty "straightforward" yet having to add prongs and get a ring resized is nowhere near "straightforward" when you look into it.
I told him that all those modifications to the ring would be costly, timely, and overall a complete hassle. He copped an attitude and said he didn't care how much it would cost me locally to get the ring modified. Then he got pushy again and started asking for my name, phone number, credit card number, etc. As if I would ever give them my business after catching an attitude with me!
I called several jewelry stores to see how much the cost would be to add the prongs and to get the ring resized. It would have cost me an additional $800 on top of the cost of the rings itself. Plus the turnaround time would have been at least three weeks. Again, thanks but NO thanks!
I ended up getting the diamond and the setting from a different site and had an outstanding experience with them. They were super friendly and have updated me as to the status of the ring regularly.
From a company like Blue Nile I would never expect such a bad behaviour like we experienced when buying a pink diamond.
We have bought a pink diamond from their shop and without even notifying they cancelled our booking. After some days I checked the tracking and it said that the purchase was cancelled. After some attempts I was forwarded to a lady that was, indeed friendly and helpful, but did give us the wrong information. She said that the diamond was already sold and that it was a tecnical issue we could buy it at all. They did not offer any discount or anything and as a substitute they did not offer diamonds that were comparible to the diamond we bought. After some days we saw the EXACTLY SAME DIAMOND online again at the much higher price. After calling the support again they told us that the price was wrong and that their supplier decided to not ship it. LUYING TO CUSTOMERS AND TRICKING THEM IS ALWAYS A BAD BEHAVIOUR! From a big company like Blue Nile and their suppliers I would expect much more professionality. Will never buy again because you never know if you will really get your diamond or not!
