The company enjoys a generally positive reputation, particularly for its competitive pricing and the quality of its books, which many customers find satisfactory. However, concerns about shipping delays and inadequate packaging frequently arise, leading to damaged items upon arrival. While customer service is often praised for its responsiveness and willingness to resolve issues, there are notable frustrations regarding the lack of proactive communication about order status and the handling of returns for damaged products. Overall, the company demonstrates potential for customer satisfaction but must address logistical and support challenges to enhance the overall experience.

I love this company. Great values and easy to use website. Always a decent selection and prices are good.
I love this company. Great values and easy to use website.
So happy to find the books we needed for a group study, in perfect shape for excellent prices! Thank you for the prompt delivery and the savings!
Was able to find an uncommon book at a good price. Super easy & very quick delivery. Very happy with the experience and book.
During the early stages of the pandemic, my rather large book order got waylaid somewhere in the delivery system. Booksoutlet.com refunded me my money. I've been a steady customer since. The prices can't be beat!
Love this site! I have been buying books from them for about 4 years! They have the most awesome sales and low shipping cost! They are always getting new books in and restocking books I missed out on!
If I could give zero stars, I would.
I have been waiting for my books for 2.5 months and the tracking number has expired. Book Outlet provides no accessible way for me to contact them except their online "ticket" system which consistently crashes (see photo). After dozens of failed attempts I finally got it to submit my question successfully. The customer service rep who finally responded told me: too bad, you must report shipment delays within 10 days of your order being placed (notwithstanding much of the delay in my reporting of this was due to their non-functioning ticket system), it's your responsibility to read the fine print about this (that apparently exists somewhere) and "thank you for understanding" that we will not be providing your books, a refund, or any further assistance. Ticket closed. I now have to take this up with my credit card company due to Book Outlet's offensively unhelpful/non-existent customer service. This company also blocks all comments on their social media which is a huge red flag. I literally buy thousands of dollars worth of books every year from companies around the world and I have never encountered this level of incompetence and dismissiveness towards customers. I only used Book Outlet because it was the only place I could find a certain book, but I will never order from them again.
I placed my second order at Book Outlet recently and I think that I am a fan. The prices are amazing and while the selection is a bit random, it's not hard to find something cool in most categories. I was focused on cookbooks,. Books about food,. And kids' books and I found some. Great selections. Some books arrived with stickers or price tags from other retail outlets - I just peeled those off. The downside is definitely the shipping time as one week after the shipping label has been created, my second order still has not been dropped off with USPS. I assume that book outlet saves some money by making less frequent drop shipments? I think it's worth it. I was buying gifts well in advance. Don't place an order at Book Outlet that you intend to give as a gift in one. Week or even three! Just enjoy the low prices and be patient!
I ordered one book from here for the first time and it got here in 8 days. The book was about $17 before shipping ($20 ish after), and the normal price of the book is $45! The book came in FANTASTIC condition, it looks totally new aside from a sharpie slash on the bottom edge of the pages, probably by the seller for inventory or something. I'm guessing this site is a hit or miss to buy from, fortunately, my first buy was a hit!
Seems to be a scam. No response from customer service. No shipment identification number and no product received.
I've ordered 3 times from Book Outlet and so far, all the books have been in perfect condition except one which came in damaged. They replied quickly and refunded me, so I can't complain about their customer service. Their shipping however, is horrible. 2 of my orders came in from Canada and I live in Arizona so it takes FOREVER. They use Wizmo for initial shipping and it takes about 1 week just to get my order from Wizmo to USPS and another to get it delivered to my doorstep. I understand they use the cheapest shipping company possible but this is ridiculous. I've seen other reviewers claim to get their orders quickly, but I've had a totally different experience. If you live in the west coast or close by be prepared to wait 2 weeks for delivery.
I'm from Toronto and they're based in Thorold, ON. So it's approximately a 1.5 - 2 hour drive. My books came fast. I bought it on the 5th and I got it today (the 10th). 9 books for around $60. It's so worth it. Yes, the books obviously aren't in good condition but you probably know this already. It's second hand books that are in good/decent quality. Books don't need to be in 100% good condition unless you plan to keep it for life and re-read it. It shipped with Canada Post and everything came all in one box. Smooth transaction and I'm so happy I discovered about this website.
I placed an order for Christmas delivery on 12/14/2020, today is 1/5/2021 and still no order. Three "tickets" have been sent indicating nonreceipt, each time a response is received stating the delay is due to holiday volume. As we are approaching two weeks after Xmas, it's safe to say that reason is no longer valid. Acknowledging I will never see these items, I placed the same order today through Amazon, it will be here on Jan. 8th. If you think you're getting a good deal with Book Outlet, think again, you will never see the order and you'll get no where with customer service.
Here you can really buy new and not new books at affordable prices. But sometimes the books look really bad - it's up to everyone to agree to that or not.
I liked everything.
Because it was here that I found a very rare book that I couldn't find anywhere else.
So everything is super, I recommend it.
Book outlet is definitely a clearance type business - they indicate when a book is a "bargain" and may be in less than pristine condition. My experience has always been great. I've ordered probably 20x or more (well over 100-150 books) and the quality has always been great. The prices are incredible- obviously check the editions or when things were printed if it's sofor
I've ordered approximately 100 books from BookOutlet and have been very pleased with the service. I've received my purchases within a few days after ordering and each individual book was in perfect condition. Much more than that, however, are the outstanding prices and I'll continue buying from them.
I was Beverly pleased with my recent order. Ordered three Martha Stewart books and two others. Very good price everything in excellent condition. Came really fast too. Will definitely order again. I ordered from the Canadian site.
They finally shipped my order 9 days after I placed it. It's been over 11 business days, 15 days total since I placed the order and I still haven't gotten my books. Not really happy with the time it took to actually get the shipment to the shipper. 9 days, seriously? I can't blame the USPS because according to the tracking they haven't even gotten it yet.
Update: Still no order. I made a ticket and they blamed it on the usps and closed the ticket. Customer service is non existent. They DO NOT care at all. I placed an order OVER a month ago and I still don't have it.
I ordered for the 1st time on 11/11. Tracking says was delivered on 11/24. I reached out to USPS followed up with bookoutlet. 1st redflag is you cant get a rep on phone... recording. 2nd created a ticket only to have the rep tellme tocheck with neighbors as the USPS probably left it with one and check with USPS. No concern whatsoever for my order. I will take the $32 loss but will never order from this low scale outlet AGAIN. If I could hive it 0 stars I most definitely would.

Answer: It could be up to 15 days but right now the shipping is taking longer due to Christmas. You could get it early and you may not. They can not promise anything. They do not control shipping. I have had no problem getting my books though and I order several. Elizabeth
Answer: NO, I do not know anyone in the United Arab Emirates.
Answer: The dust jacket could be missing or could be ripped.
The only thing better than a good book is a good book at half the price…or more. And that’s what we offer. All our books are brand new and discounted at least 50% off publishers’ list prices. Book Outlet is your haven, full of excess publishers’ inventory eagerly waiting to find their way into the hands of readers like you.
So go on, get lost in the pages of a great book and revel in the thrill of a good deal that awaits you every day.
