Terrible experience
I had terrible experience with BookYogaRetreats. Think twice about planning of your trip on this platform. I booked the yoga retreat and noticed straight away that I picked wrong dates. I payed deposit. I contacted tripplanner(BookYogaRetreat) about this straight away and also the hotel that i booked. The hotel was very helpful and we agreed that there wasn't possible to change the date and they said that they will cancel the booking on their side. They wrote me that tripplanner (BookYogaRetreat) have the deposit and that i will have a chance to use it for different booking. Tripplanner (BookYogaRetreat) was very slow and unhelpful in the email answers. They claimed that hotel didn't agree to cancel the booking and that they are holding deposit. They were answering very slow and it was clear that there is a mess on their side. Finally when the date of my trip came they didn't answer and i lost the chance of having the successful trip due to lack of communication with them. I got an email few days after the trip that they are not taking the responsibility and that the hotel didn't cancel the booking and that return or reschedule of my deposit is not possible. It was super uncomfortable and stressful experience and I am extremely sad about handling of the matter on Tripplanner (BookYogaRetreat) side. I extremely advise to be careful planning trip with them.

Bookyogaretreats.com is a great platform to find yoga retreats. The filters allow you to search by location, budget, style of retreat, and much more. I have always had positive experiences with them and would highly recommend it to others.

I could find a wonderful yoga retreat in India through the site. I could compare different ones and review comments from participants. Examples of daily schedule and the teachers details are very useful. Thanks for making it easy!

I trip was booked by mistake, and the organization is inflexible about making adjustments or refunds. It is important to note that the entity who is actually hosting the event was completely fine with making the adjustment, it is BookYogaRetreats who is not. Where most organizations are hyper-focused on customer experience, BookYogaRetreats is hyper focused on the profitability of one-time transactions above all else. Do yourself a favor: bypass this third party service and go directly to the provider. There is no need to deal with BookYogaRetreats.

In response to what I expect to hear from the vendor: Just because a policy is "stated" does not mean that the policy is right or just. If you hope to enjoy repeat business, a little empathy and customer focus goes a long way.

I am so grateful for the training I received from Yoga Union in Bali. Everything was organised super well in terms of the food, accommodation and transportation from the airport. The teachers are such fantastic educators with a deep love and passion for what they are teaching. I left this training feeling wholesome and prepared to teach. You will learn so much about yourself through this experience x

We are associating with book yoga retreats for the last 3 years its a wonderful platform to reach guest all through world. We have been supported each other to give maximum information and endless conversation and chat with guest directly. The website as well as new facilities are so updated. We expect full support and very many advanced features to reach the clients in more better way.

This company does not use any vetting process what so ever. I arrived to a very unstable situation. The whole program from the top down was not at all what was advertised or anticipated. Several people who booked this retreat and arrived after myself had left and demanded money back. You are better off to find a program and verify and book through them.

Arrived at lotus pad with no expectations! I am a yoga teacher myself and was just looking forward to being taught! The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and great surroundings! The teaching impeccable so much so I would like to come back and do some training with Wendy! Food amazing! Left feeling happy relaxed and inspired

Many of our bookings come via Book Yoga Retreats. We have a wonderful account manager, Maria, and have always had pleasant, open communications with the team there.
They have taken in to account most of our needs and have updated aspects of their system accordingly.
We would prefer to have the invoicing on a monthly basis - rather than per individual booking - but we're happy with our partnership.

Sunny brow farm in set in a countryside location in the Lake District. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. The accommodation was very nicely furnished and decorated. Lovely nutritious vegan food. Yoga is performed outside in the wooded area and just adds to the whole experience. The practice works on mind, body and soul and would definitely recommend.

My retreat was canceled, and book yoga retreats is trying to keep my $422 deposit. That is obviously illegal, you can't charge money for an experience that didn't occur. The organizer refunded what they charged, as is customary and ethical, but not Book Yoga Retreats. Although this is easiest to dispute via my credit card company, I would really like to dispute this legally.

Inspiration all over the place, it feels like heaven. People are super friendly over there and Yoga instructor Marina was so humble and supportive.

Had an exceptional autumn retreat found on this site. It is a hub for yoga activity around the world. And it is the primary booking engine for those holidays. Specialization means you just focus on choosing between relevant options. And the booking engine was a perfect experience.

Book Yoga Retreat is big fraud and spoiling the values of Yoga. We were listed with them as a school but they always keep threatening to get money back illegally. All they care about is money. They keep school listing on higher ranking by getting higher commission. So if you book a retreat with them please be careful as they may show a school on top which has no good quality of education but paying more commission to them. Many of travelers has to face this serious issue. Please always check the website of schools directly and compare schools separately.

First of all, 7 Chakras Yoga School in Rishikesh is truly welcoming and offers support to its students 24/7: they all really make you feel like home, and are approachable.

Secondly, I must emphasize the highly talented teachers they count on, learning and relearning was an absolute pleasure.

Thirdly, the food was always way above my expectations: safe for westerners and absolutely delicious and healthy.

Finally, the accommodation was satisfactory, my bedroom was beautifully sunny and pretty clean when I got in. I would very much like to highlight that the bed was incredibly comfortable, ideal to rest after a very long day of training and learning

In a nutshell, I would really recommend 7 Chakras Yoga School to anyone around the world that wishes to become a highly qualified yoga teacher.

This Yoga Teacher Training is so much more than just that. It was a truly enriching experience and so special it's hard to put into words. The people of the Conscious Yoga Academy are amazing and they do a great job creating a safe space where you can heal, grow & connect to your true self again. You will learn a wholistic approach of Yoga and get the tools you need to live a peaceful and fulfilled life.
Besides that, also the location im the nature at the sea is beautiful and the food delicious!

I agree with the rest of the reviews, this is just a bad platform. They advertise their offer with "only one spot available" when no other spots are taken, or "one of the best rated retreat in the area" when in fact it's the first time the retreat is ever supposed to be held etc.

We are an organiser who lists retreats on this company's platform.
This is the third time now that we are waiting for our payment over weeks!
Emails are not replied to or ignored. We feel sorry for our students who feel very in between and don't understand why their payment is being held by Bookyogaretreats.

The owners and teachers really care for their students and have developed an amazing program
They push you just enough in your practice and in your own growth and development
This course is hard work but so worth it and I felt such love and support from everyone along the way
