The company's reputation is significantly marred by a plethora of negative feedback, with customers consistently expressing frustration over poor customer service, unresponsive communication, and perceived predatory lending practices. Common complaints include difficulties in modifying payment dates, aggressive collection tactics, and excessive fees that exacerbate financial burdens. While a few customers report satisfactory experiences when loans are kept current, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of support and empathy from the company. This pervasive dissatisfaction suggests a need for substantial improvements in customer relations and service transparency to enhance overall customer experience and trust.

So my car got totaled and I was told by them that everything was taken care of by gap insurance, and then years later when I could have had it paid off they charge an amount off to my credit report. When I called to ask why they never contacted me after telling me that the amount was paid off they said they had no obligation to do so. I've been working hard on my credit and this is a huge setback.
I have never experienced an auto loan company like this. If you don't pay on or before your due date they text, call, and immediately send out repo letters! Seems like they want to repo your car to make more money! If you sometime pay a few days or weeks late, beware!
My car was totaled and paid off and Bridgecrest can't give me a straight answer on my refund to save they life. Just lies and lies. I wouldn't recommend bridgecrest to my worst enemy. Just not honest about anything.
Every since I ask for a refund for a Double payment Bridgecrest Bank is Now CLAIMING I missed a payment. The Harassment is almost unbelievable. They are Charging me an extra month of deceit. It's FALSE HARRASSMENT AND HORRIBLE. Greedy Grimy and PETTY. Absolutely No Integrity
Bridgecrest has to be the worst finance company. After getting a car not even a year ago, the dealership nor Bridgecrest is willing to work or solve any issues with the vehicle. We have spent so much money on this car for it to keep having issues. Bridgecrest won't even work with you regarding a payment so we are to the point of letting them pick the car up. Will never use them again nor recommend.
I used the company through a loan with Carvana. It ended up being a huge mistake. My credit score was pretty good, so I got a decent rate with them. The vehicle ended up totaled, which began a mess of an experience with Bridgecrest. The company would not do any of their part of the claim process. I ended up having to demand their paperwork and submit it myself. The GAP insurance ended up being exactly the same. I had to do their job for them. They drug out the claim for months, charging me interest. When we finally got to the GAP portion, I stopped paying. They spent two months and failed to submit the paperwork to the GAP company. Again, I demanded the paperwork, submitted it myself, and two days later, they were paid. Then, the next problem was that the company refused to post the payment for over two weeks, getting another missed payment under their belt. They also filed with credit for my missed payments because they didn't want to do their job, and devastated my credit. On top of that, the payments I did make, trying to preserve my credit, that they got paid for through insurance, they refused to refund. It is a very poor company with very shady business practices.
Extremely unprofessional. The customer service team do not communicate with each other. They lie to you on the line, pretend to notate the acct with your grievances and/or request so they don't have to do their jobs. No one seems to know which dept does what and who can actually help. If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible Horrible Horrible
I called was just told by Colton from customer service to find another loan company! I am frustrated
I was two car payments behind I ended up paying up to 5 payments which they took my money and not one cent came off my loan at this point I'm trying to find a lawyer to look into this company I am not only paying a head of time but they also have on my credit report I'm 3 payments behind not to mention I keep calling asking for them to fix it and they won't I'm beyond sick of this company..
I have had my car over a year. Had to fix the car because drive time sold me a bad car front end need a lot of work. Called to talk to them about missing this 1 time payment so we can get back and forth. Car is costing a $1200 to fix. They told me because I'm current. They can't do that if I miss a payment they will come and get it. Also they use 186 of my 287 payment to interest. This is a big scam. Stay away from Drivetime and Bridgecrest
I got a text from "Bridgecrest" saying "Thank you for setting up your promise to pay $302.00 on 09/02"... I've never heard of Bridgecrest, so I text back saying "What is Bridgecrest? I don't recall making this arrangment" to which I get an automated text saying that this is an unmonitored box. I drop it. I get a text on 09/01 saying "your promise to pay $302 is due tomorrow" So I call the number. Can I get your name and the last four digits of your SS#. Me: Here's my name, who is Bridgecrest? Bridgecrest "I suggest you Google Bridgecrest to find out who we are". Me: "You can't tell me who you are?" Bridgecrest "No, because of confidentiality reasons". So Bridgecrest wants my money but won't tell me who they are?!? I hope this bill isn't for something I'm not placing right now I guess.
Bridgecrest has taken money out of my account 2 times recently. One for $750 and one for $34,000. I have no loans or any affiliation with this company. My bank is investigating these charges. WTF.
I'll be glad to show them proof of this.
I hate to be another person complaining because I couldn't pay my note for ONE month but here I am. I cannot believe there are still companies that act like life isn't life and s**t doesn't happen!
I was about to miss a payment and knew I wouldn't be able to make it up until the next month, when I called to ask to push it back they told me about a deferent plan I could set up. I called to set it up and they said I had to miss the payment first. (okay?) and I did as I knew I would. I called back and they said NO I didn't qualify for the deferment! (Now why the hell would yall even suggest I do this then!) Also I'm wondering how and why I didn't qualify when at the moment funds were tight because my husband retired from the AF and we were still waiting for his final payments, a mess up on the military's end. Which I tried to explain. They basically told me thats not their problem and sorry but I should've saved up note money and thought of that before he retired
This occurred in Feb. Now we are on a different ddeposit schedule as hubs has a new job and the note date will always be late or in the way of other bills. They said NO to changing the payment date! Wth?! So yeah, they suck. I'd never recommend them to anyone. I guess they were fine up until then, they're just terrible in a bad situation. Know they won't back you up or even act like they want your service, just rude and inconsiderate rules/people. But I can say I had no problem in the first 2 years when everything was fine and payments were made on time; and thats why they have 2 stars instead of 1.
My sister passed away in 5/2022. Prior to her death she told me she had paid off her car and showed me the title Bridgecrest sent her. As the executor of her estate I was unable to find the title among her things so I contacted bridgecrest to request a release of lien. I called the customer service number several times before reaching anyone. When I finally reached someone, I was told I needed to speak to someone in the title department. When I finally reached them, they told me to submit a copy of my sister's will and death certificate which I did promptly. When I informed them that they had already sent her a title because she had made her final payment, the customer service person indicated that they had no record of that in spite of me telling him that my sister had shown me the title when she received it. Additionally, the customer service person pretended to not know what a release of lien was. I was told that someone would call me back when they received the death certificate and will via email. When asked If i could send it registered mail because I was becoming suspicious by now I was hung up on. After sending the documents via email no one ever called me back in spite of me leaving numerous messages. After several months I reached out to the title department again and they claimed to have never received the documents even though I had an email receipt indicating that they received and opened the document. When I informed them of the receipts, they hung up on me, It has been over a year and I still have heard anything from them which leaves me in limbo because I am unable to purchase a tag for the vehicle or get the title transferred to the estate even though I am the executor of my sister's estate.
Their customer support will lead you in circles, lose paperwork, place burdens on you no other company will even think of, or just lie to you, all to avoid providing even the most basic customer support.
Bought a car March of 22 my son totalled it within a year. Heartbreaking definitely wasn't the plan. Anyway my insurance paid their part. GAP paid their part and I paid on the car for almost a year. I also had to keep paying monthly payments while everything was getting taken care of... little did I know none of accounting know how to use calculators and boy did they love sending threats outs. Telling me at one point I owed $1680. Mind you I have NEVER been late or missed a payment. They say they are going to send it in and will affect my credit score (they only said this on phone calls knowing otherwise it could be screenshot which i have a ton of). Everyday for awhile I would log on just to get a different amount I owed and more threats telling me I needed to pay now or else they are going to hit my credit score.
Have one really funny one says your payment is over due in the amount of 0.00 PAY NOW CALL BRIDGECREST *******526. I have sooooo many screen shots at this point saved back. Was chatting with a few people today about my refund I am expecting almost TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS and first lady had to transfer me to someone else and then she couldn't help me at all because they have no way to contact accounting. Lol what?! I'm going to start recording these comical phone calls wish I would have started sooner. Also one of their very most FAVORITE phrases is check back in 10 days. Yes that is another thing... they have no problem contacting me when my payment is SUPPOSEDLY late but they can't otherwise contact me? Please go for another financial company. I wish I would have read these reviews before hand but if I can help one person not to deal with this utter crap that is awesome. Sincerely one fed up customer
PS I want so badly to add all of the information that shows when and how much was taken from my bank account as I had direct deposit to them but I don't think I should.
Bought a 2015 Jeep Compass 18 months ago for $21,000 payments are $585 a month.18 months later they said I still owe almost $20,160 could not explain where almost $11,000 of payments went. There in the right and I'm in the wrong.alone the car falling apart.dont get financed through these crooks.they lie, cheat, and steal from you.I guess my $11,000 of payments just vanished.BUNCH OF CROOKS AND SCAM ARTISTS
Do not work with Bridgecrest because they will not work with you. Bunch of thieves. Recently tried getting a vehicle through Carvana. Ordered it it was dropped at my house. Drove it one day and got a check engine light. Reached out to tell them about it and that I wanted to swap it for another one. They dropped off the new vehicle and took the other one. BRIDGECREST is the loan company that works with Carvana and their customers trying to get a vehicle. Well needless to say, somehow I was showing I owned two vehicles under Bridgecrest, the first one I turned back in to Carvana because of the check engine light and the one I currently own. I called Bridgecrest to let them know I didnt own the first vehicle and shouldn't be making payments on it. After they worked with Carvana to verify that they indeed get the vehicle back, there was a matter of getting back the money I paid for the vehicle I never owned. Just told they can't give it back. $#*!ing thieves!
Customer service is absolute $#*!. I had a vehicle financed through Bridgcrest that was totaled recently. Every single time I contacted them for info that I needed to file a gap claim, they constantly told me that they didn't have that info and that I was supposed to get it from other company(insurance/dealership/gap company). I had to be a $#*! and demand to speak to a manager, then all of the sudden I got what I needed. They sent me on a wild goose chase back and forth between 4 different companies including some other company that the extended warranty was through. I have worked with multiple lienholders before and this company is by far the worst to deal with. This is the ONLY lienholder I have felt the urge to go out of my way to leave a horrible review for how $#*!ty of service they give. If I knew this is what I would have had to deal with when purchasing my Durango, I would've just bought a different vehicle somewhere else from a different dealership. The dealership I bought from was carvana.com. The customer service at carvana was great but they use bridgcrest for a lot of their loans so I definitely wouldn't recommend buying from them unless you can choose which lienholder to use. Seriously, $#*! bridgcrest and every employee that works there. They are all asshats that dont give 2 $#*!s about helping any of their customers.
Answer: I was a partial payment late and they will take your car. If you get bridgecrest have a garage
Answer: Cars depreciate very quickly. One of the dumbest financial decisions a person can make is spending a shit ton of their income on a vehicle. Expensive cars aren't worth it. Nobody needs leather seats or separate climate controls. And it's not like you're buying one vehicle for the rest of your life. Quit looking at cars as status symbols and save your 8K for something else.
Answer: 90 Days...
Answer: Call them to come get it...,...
Answer: Not a question... perhaps you could attempt making a free payment online on the website?
Answer: I'm sueing them and that's that. And they should be closed down
Answer: Try your local credit union. They love to undercut the interest rates, and can generally be a little more lenient because they get their money through payroll deductions, meaning they get paid first.
