You can buy a firearm from one of many different dealers across the country. Based on my experience, I doubt that you'll find a better dealer when it comes to customer service than Bud's, not only after the sale but during the purchase process as well. I am a repeat customer and will be again!

They only gave me 90 days pay off a 1589.00 layaway I paid 988 and asked for an extension till 15th Sept and try trade a 600 pistol.in to.pay what was left owing and they refused. So I'm not ever going back there and all I owed was 601.50 and I was going pay that. But canceled my layaway did not give me store credit for what I paid on it. We'll now if anyone want know better places to go email me at *******@yahoo.com and I'm send u best places I've found. Because if buds keeps my money and do not give me store credit on something else we are finished and I'm taking as many customers away from them as possible.

You can buy a firearm from one of many different dealers across the country.

I realize everyone has a different experience but here is mine...

On July 25th 2024 I purchased an item from Buds Gun Shop in Kentucky. Online it said it was in stock, but I also called to double check and the rep confirmed it was indeed in stock.

So I place the order expecting that if it is in stock it should ship within a few days. I then get a notice that this is a "special order item" that will take an additional 7 days to ship on top of the already 3-7 days quoted for actual in stock items.

I call the rep and after they tell me this is a special order item again they also mention it has to ship from an affiliate warehouse. So for anyone that doesnt know - they didnt actually have it in stock but they know a distributor that did have it in stock. So they had to ship to Buds Gun Shop and Buds would then ship it to me.

After they tell me of the timeline I decide to cancel as I knew of another company that actually had it stock and ready to ship. So I cancel the order. The rep tells me there is a 10% cancellation fee. I did see this at the time of the order and if something was actually in stock and I wanted to cancel I totally get it. This wasnt the case here. It wasnt in Buds possession to charge the 10%. Again if Buds Gun Shop had in stock and it was about to ship 1) I wouldnt cancel 2) I would totally understand getting hit with the charge and there was effort by staff to prepare it. Again - not the case here at all.

Question: If its in stock why is it a special order item?

So I tell the rep - cancel the order and I am disputing the 10% - which was $140 cancellation fee with my CC company. She puts me on a brief hold to speak her supervisor I am sure and comes back to tell me "if you dispute the charge we will mark your account and you can never buy from us again".

So why in God's name would I want to buy from a dishonest company ever again?

Actually 0 stars not even a 1 they Sold me a defective AR57 upper barrel and will not stand behind it, they were rude and pretty much told me oh well tough luck. Horrible customer Service and company

Bought a Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded Target advertised as new. When received it had worn marks in the mag well, on both sides of the trigger, scratch marks in the exterior stainless all that was not from factory test fires. The Springfield packaging the gun came in was excessively worn. The FFL used also said the gun was not in factory new condition. Apparently the gun was purchased and tried out by several buyers, therefore "not" factory new. Bud's replaced the gun with another same 1911 that was more worn than the first and also with excessivly worn factory packaging. Returned both guns to Bud's then purchased the same gun thru a local dealer that was definitely "factory new". Only received a full refund after Visa disputed it with Bud's for three months. Several gun dealers told me my experience is the same that has happened to other online customers around the country. This was my first and last experience with Bud's. I won't buy anything from them again.

Ordered a pistol from Buds. It'll be the last time I order from Buds. Every other place at a minimum 2nd day airs it to the destination. Not Buds. I guess they feel USPS ground is the best place for my firearm. Oh because I'm in Alaska they have to ship it the slowest way possible. Because driving through Canada or barging up from Washington is much better than it flying up like all the other online gun stores I've bought from. Nope not buds. Hey we've sat on your order for a week, chosen the cheapest way to ship it so wait over two weeks to get it. So all in it takes over 3 weeks to purchase a gun from Buds. What a joke.

These are listed as semi jackted at Buds, which the box clearly indicates these are
Complete metal jackted hollow points.
This may seem like an insignificant fact, but actually makes all the difference in the world. Testing on gel media indicates the way this bullet is constructed, combined with the slower velocity of the.38 spl. Acts like a fmj with no hollow point.
If it we're a semi jackted hp as Buds claims them to be, they would act more like the remington sjhp and expand like a hollow point should at the slower.38 spl. Velocities.

"While I respect everyone's reviews and have not had issues with my prior purchases from Buds, I purchased a P365 Macro that included a second magazine that was clearly used. It was wrapped in a small plastic bag and while I inspected the gun, I did not look at the magazine. The finish was worn off and there is a small amount of rust on both sides! I have given them several business days (not including the holidays) to respond and all I have gotten is is a generic email telling me that if I had any questions or concerns about my order to contact them. I have sent several emails asking them if they would like pictures and asked if they were going to make things right as they should with any customer. I have gotten NO response. Clearly this company has taken their customer service to a new low. BUYER BEWARE!

Warning...Please do not buy from this company. They have duped me, as well as other customers...check all the reviews on Google. They will not accept returns, or do exchanges as they claim they do. Even on small items such as Magazine clips etc. I hate I ever did business with them. I'm stuck with an item I paid almost twice their listing price with once shipping and taxes was included. They have no working customer service phone line, or email contact. If you want to return an item you have to pay to ship to them, and a restock fee. That's ridiculous, no other company treats valued customers that way. In my opinion they should be called Bud's Pawn shop, instead after all they are ripping off the customers in the same fashion

They do not honor their customers, they are not in my opinion legit or trustworthy company to do business with

U can't speak to a human! Tried over 10 times on hold over 20 min up to 42 before I hung up! Say use Norton they want respond! Buds takes no responsibility for anything! They sell so many guns, they don't care! Shop around there are much cheaper prices out there! So upset on my treatment I'm doing this everyday until they stop me!

They don't care! It may take 4,5 purchases but they'll show u there true colors and they aren't Red WHT and blue! More China,Russia than US!

Do they value as a customer? Absolutely not. Too many other sites to buy weapons from who will treat you better.

Purchased guns from them before, just placed an order for two more yesterday, and then called to see if they could cancel my order because I wanted to start fresh because I was looking to potentially get three different guns. Hasn't been 24 hours since first order. They would not cancel it without a 10% cancellation fee. I pushed back and said, all I want to do is buy more guns and it's going to take me a day or 2 to make my final decision, is it really worth charging me $100 and possibly losing a customer? They refused to remove it. I said last call, do you really want to lose a customer over $100? They charged me the fee, so just know that when you purchase from them, you're not worth a hundred bucks.

Lots of products and decent pricing. However, takes FOREVER to get stuff and customer support is extremely poor and hard to get to a live person. When you finally do all they do is quote policy vs actually helping you

Absolute worst experience! Advertise "discount" prices, but "nickel & dime" to the point you can go anywhere else and purchase at an average cost. Not to mention, way better service. I must have hit a nerve—politely called them out and they cancelled my order. No worries. I won't be dealing with them again—and I will convince others to take their business elsewhere as well.

Bought a hand gun that showed stock but wasn't. I called to cancel and was told there would be a 10% restocking fee, 2- weeks later I still don't have the gun. I left a review on their site and they deleted it. Last time buying anything from Buds!

False Advertising:

Their promotional emails are false. I followed a link for a sale on an item from their email within seconds of receiving it, and the item was over $120 more than advertised. I spoke to customer service about it, and they said that "all of those already sold out". Yet the item was still available at a WAY higher price? I then followed the link of all the other items in their email, and ALL of them were way more expensive on their site. This is nothing but false advertising. I will never buy from them again.

Terrible Experience! Website would not allow me to use a credit card! Customer Chat didn't work! Telephone Customer Service was unavailable! E-mail tab didn't work! After all of these Red Flags I will be making my purchase at one of their competitors. I would advise extreme caution if you use Buds Gun Shop online!

Got a good deal on a gun here and didn't have any issues with the whole process. I also got a lifetime warranty for about $18.

My only issue is that the website is somewhat difficult to navigate and could be overhauled to a more seamless interface.

Im giving 4 stars because nothing about the experience was over the top or excellent. I'd say good experience and I would definitely buy from them again.

After waiting few weeks for shipment, I was told I wrote "218" instead of "219", so this means I can't get replacement even though I paid for assurances against lost. Larissa, pretty much was unhelpful and she had a snarky tone. Last time

Bud's is great. They have lots of stuff at lower prices. The problem is "if" there is a problem. I had a delivery problem recently that was not Bud's fault. However, the nut job at Customer Service basically blew me off, and told me to track down the package on my own! Hey Customer Service, that's why I paid extra for the "extra" Insurance! Get a Clue.

Will never buy guns from Buds Gun Stores. I order a shotgun and told me it would take 24-48 hours and now they tell me it might take till probably 8/30/23 because it's a special order item. That's not what they told me when I ordered the shotgun.They don't ever answer live chat or answer their phones. I trusted them now I know the truth not worth it. This is the third time I called them and every time a different excuse..

Buyer beware when ordering from Buds. The website is designed to opt you in for extremely expensive shipping insurance. If you Vail to opt out, Buds customer service will not reverse the charges.

They added an $18 insurance charge to a $60 order.

Ordered a new King Cobra and when I picked it up from my local gun shop we opened the case and looked in the plastic bag it was in to verify it was the right gun. Got home and took it out and noticed the front sight was missing. I called Buds immediately and talked to Dominick at their retail store on Saturday. He noted the problem and said to call Monday. Went back to the local gun store to ask their advice and upon closer inspection they pointed out powder marks on all cylinders and soot at barrell. When I called Buds on Monday was told they would give zero help as I should of looked at it closer in the store. Didn't think I had to check a supposedly brand new gun to make sure it wasn't missing parts! Didn't use a credit card so I have no option now except to sell it as used and take a loss. Learned an expensive lesson about dealing with a useless middle man operation like Buds Gun Shop. Pay the extra money at your local gun shop and stay away from this scam outfit!
