I received an email back apologizing within 24 hours along with my confirmation and tracking number. The estimated deliver was Oct 3, I received my costume on Sept 30.
I wish I would have read these reviews before I ordered! The worst service ever! Guaranteed delivery my $#*!! My order was supposed to arrive 4 days ago, and I have yet to get a response to my emails or a confirmation of cancellation. There are too many other companies who actually do what they promise to even bother with this one. NEVER again!
This is the worst company, ever! Do not buy from them! I to ordered far I. Advance and here it is the day before Halloween and still w/ o my sons costume! They promised me 6 days ago that they would upgrade my delivery, which 6 days later has not been done. Also funn how it states on their website that you can order by 2 today and Reese I. Time for Halloween tomorrow. Believe me, there is no way this is going to happen. I can't even get a costume that I ordered 3 weeks ago! Also, customer service has no clue! Again, do not order from this company!
Very unrealiable. You should call regarding your order status since you wont be notified of any changes made to it. Order was never shipped and its passed the guaranteed delivery date. Now Ive been waiting x2 days for my order to be cancelled.
I placed an order by mistake and tried to get in touch with them within 5 mins of placing the order to cancel the order. They dont have an option to cancel on the website and the customer service dept is no help. Not sure how much longer can they be doing business with such a model.
I ordered a costume 2 weeks before Halloween with priority shipping (2 business days). I called on the day it was supposed to be delivered because online my order said still processing. The woman I spoke to said that they were busier than expected but would ship it over night and I would have it tomorrow-it never came. Three days after that my husband called and they again guaranteed that they would ship it overnight. Twenty minutes after this call I got an email that they were cancelling my order because the costume was now out of stock. I will never order from this company again!
Paid for overnight delivery on 10/28. Costume was not delivered by UPS, since per UPS they did not deliver to UPS on time. Hopefully I will receive it today. Tried calling many times, on hold endlessly, nobody ever answered. Emailed them twice as well, no answer.

This company's website ran a free shipping special. I was still charged shipping on my order and when I contacted them, I was told they never offered free shipping. I have the screen capture to prove it. This is fraud and false advertising. The fact that their customer service rep lied to me is horrible.
This was a f*#$+8G joke! I work hard for my money and they had no problem taking it with a GUARANTEED arrival date. Its in black and white and when I called on that date they told me i would receive a full refund... in 5 days. So I called now because it's been 6 days. Immediately ask to speak to the manager. And do you know she told me she was going to process my refund now. They had only issued a refund of $7. So i then said" What about 6 days ago when I was guaranteed my refund in 5 days. Even got an email so it's documented this is liable for a lawsuit." And she LAUGHED and said "yea OK ma'am ". I had four disappointed children that love dressing up with their parents. And now this place has my money. THIEVES. I guarantee a following lawsuit.
Disgusted with this company. Ordered a costume and selected not to pay the extra for express delivery so was expecting to wait 10 business days to receive it. Received it 3 days later. Sizing was WAY it so retuned it and silly me, bought the smaller size, again received in 3 days though did not request express delivery. Company paid me back about a third of what I spent. When I chased them up I was told they didn't receive the original costume. I provided them with the tracking number and proof they had received it and they're now saying refund is for cost of goods only, trying to imply that part of the cost was for shipping. Unbelievable. Taking this further.
I have ordered from this company before with great products received in a timely fashion. This year I ordered in plenty of time and order kept getting delayed. I contacted them over 5 days about 8 times with nothing but lies and empty promises for my efforts. I finally cancelled my order today and ordered somewhere else and had to pay more to get closer to halloween and pay for faster shipping to have in time for an event. They charge your credit card and never ship the product. They keep stringing you along that it will ship the next day but it never does. I reported them to the FTC and BBB and will next be filing a police report if I don't get my refund. This company is not the same as previous years and is committing fraud and possibly theft.
Transylvanian Vampire Child Costume #*******. Halloween costume incomplete. Missing medallion. Phoned customer service agent and asked that they send missing medallion in time for Halloween. I was informed that I would have to order another complete costume, pay for it in advance including shipping costs, and then mail back incomplete costume back to them, shipping costs at my expense. Once they received the incomplete costume back, I would be refunded the cost of a costume. However, to resolve the issue in this manner, I would have to pay a total of $29.99 EXTRA in shipping for a costume that costs $37.99. The medallion was the central to the 6 year old deciding to choose it. He was disappointed. The convenience of ordering online was lost in trying to replicate something that I had already paid for. The website's solution for an error they made would cost me money and I believe is was made, knowing that no sensible person would accept their solution.
Paid ectra moneyvfor faster shipping and they sent it the slowest method possible! Customer service is a JOKe! You wait on hold for at least 30 minutes before talking to someone in a different country!
If I could give this company zero stars I would. I ordered a Halloween costume in medium and instead of stating we have none in stock they sent me Extra Large. The reason why I know this as the person on the phone told me they have not had medium stock for a long time. If they have done this to me I am sure they have done this with many others. Taking this to it logically conclusion they are only doing this in the hope you do not complain about it or make do with the one they sent you. Horrible company... please if you want good service and the right item use another company!
They said my order was Guaranteed to arrive on Sept. 28, I started emailing them on Sept. 30, they had nothing but excuses, I needed it by Oct. 14, they said it would be here, never came, I called and after waiting 30 min, I was told it would get here by the weekend. I emailed again just to make sure and they told me it was now out of stock! My daughter has been waiting for this costume, we already bought a ton of accessories and now no costume! I cancelled the rest of my order and will NEVER use them again! If I could use less than 1 star I would. Also, not once did they ever call or email to let me know they were late or there was a problem, I had to do all the work, and they still couldn't pull it off!
I ordered a simple green hat that was supposed to have a red feather attached to it. The hat came but the feather didn't. I tried to call customer service 3 times and had to wait over half an hour and still didn't get a response from a customer service agent. Worst company ever.
I ordered my child's costume that was out of stock at the time in September. The item was guaranteed by the 16th of October. They charged my card on 10/09 which it says they do not charge you until the item is shipped. The item did not come on the 16th and they said if it doesn't come they'll refund my shipping costs. The box came today and the only thing in it was an Elsa costume that I got for free because of a promo deal. I called and they said they won't be getting the costume! To say the least I'm furious! The costume I ordered is now no where to be found in my child's size and I've been telling him since last week it was coming!
Last year they were amazing, this year new management has screwed this company up. After spending over 7 hours on the phone and calling 6 different times. My order placed on SEPTEMBER 5TH is still not here October 29th. I ordered my kids costumes and mine and they only shipped mine. I am ready to return it since I won't be dressing up Star Wars without my kids costumes. Now is too late to get anything Star Wars. This company has lost their good costumer service. Don't order.

They were like you can return it after November 1st and the shipping is on you which is about $13 and 12% restocking! What the hell! Don't buy from them! Horrible mistake!
This company is awful. Everyone time I call they immediately say there is a bad phone connection and they have to call me back and again they say they still have a bad phone connection. I have no clue how they conduct their business. They sent me my order number and it was wrong.
I ordered with no problems. I received an email stating to wait for an email confirming shipment. After a long wait, I emailed to check the status of my order. I was told that my order was cancelled because they no longer had my costume. It's ridiculous that I had to contact them to find out. I ordered two pirate costumes for my hubby a Large and XLarge... they shipped me an XLarge and a PLUS Size for a 50 in. Chest. When I went back to the original order I noticed there were no sizes indicated. So it was my word against their word. When I called they claimed there was no longer a Large available. So WHY did they send me the plus size? To make matters worse they deducted the cost of return shipping from my purchase. Fraud at best! This company is horrible. WHo sends the wrong size just because another size is sold out?! Needless to say I found another pirate costume at half the price that is so much better in quality on Amazon. Notice on the website there are no reviews... Unless you dig around on the internet you will not know what kind of company buycostume.com really is.
They would like to you that your order will arrive within 6 to 10 days, but it would never arrive on time.
I called the next day to cancel the order, the customer service told me that order was canceled, but after two weeks I still have not get the refund. I call customer service again, and he told me this time the order was not canceled. And I will be expecting the package after November 1. Nov 1st? This is ridiculous! So even if I didn't cancel it I will never get it on time. And similar stuff happened to my friends too. So please, stay away from this company for your own good.

I have contacted the company 4 times to see when it will ship and every time I am told that it is being wrapped up and will ship that day or the next. Today when I asked the service rep why they keep saying that when its clearly not true and asked if she was capable of admitting that she had no idea when it would ship or why it hadn't yet she hung up on me. The absolute worst costumer service I have ever dealt with and clearly I will be lucky if I receive my order by Christmas!

These people have NO right to run a business! Never buy anything from them. They continually promised product that they didn't have and they never delivered the product when they said that they would.
I ordered a costume for my 2 year old son on 10/19 and paid the "Guaranteed" shipping price of $13.99 to have it by 10/22 so my son could go to 2 halloween parties over the weekend. I did not receive it on the 22nd so I called and talked to 2 separate people who promised it would be at my house in time for party #1 on Saturday. I had to go out and purchase a 2nd costume for the weekend... I called Tuesday 10/27 because it still has not been received... I was promised that I would have the costume today 10/28... I instead have received an email that the order was cancelled due to inventory issues! Are you kidding me? This is THE worst company I have ever dealt with and will never use them again! I hope anyone looking for a costume reads this and does not shop with Buy Costumes.com!
