I regret to say that my experience with Cabela's has been nothing short of a nightmare. The level of service I received was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment.
The overall service can only be described as horrible, and it's disheartening to feel like my concerns were not taken seriously. The prolonged wait of three months to receive a refund is simply unacceptable and has added significant frustration to an already disappointing situation.
I hope that this feedback prompts a reassessment of your service procedures and that steps are taken to rectify these issues. As a customer, I expected a smoother process, and unfortunately, my experience has left me with a strong inclination never to purchase anything from you again!
Ordered a gift for my father birthday, with plenty of time. Emailed to follow up about the item and I got a "it will ship soon" reply. Two more emails & a month later I got a sorry we are out of stock thanks for your understanding. Terrible service. I wont order online again from them.
Great big company and operates like a scam. Did not believe my experience till I saw all the other reviews with similar experience. Took my order. Charged my credit card. Never shipped it. Won't answer email. Impossible to reach by phone. I guess my only recourse is to go through credit card company. A whole lot of bother for a few shirts.
My experience with Cabela's Canada customer service is as bad as it gets! If you for any reason you need to contact customer service be ready for extended wait times. This is the second time I've had to contact customer service and after waiting online for just over an hour my call was dropped! While I would likely buy from Cabela's in person I'll never again order anything online. Never again!
I got a firearms( honcho shotgun 12GA) bought just a week ago at cabelas north edmonton. I decided to bring to the buy back at the same store. Because I'm having issues putting the shells to the mags. First was decline. After that I finally known how to fix it and put the shells correctly. So I tried again for a buy back. Note this is brand new firearms.
Anyways, Its obvious this Saints become a devil with full of lies is not interested to take the firearms. One staff saying the cocking is inconsistent and totally different from the first issue. Caught lying.again this are brand new. I guess the appraiser has teach well his staff to be liar.
I even tested with cap snaps to check the quality of firing.
I suggest to buyers. Don't buy easily. Test everything before purchase.
My wrong was. I was very confident at the sales staff they hold good virtues. But not all.
Anyways, I brought the firearms to another store. It works fine.

I called the Edmonton south store at 8pm phone range for half hour the. Call was dropped so I drove over to see what is going on only to see front desk standing there doing nothing very disappointing.
My last few orders were very awful, my very recent one (*******)was delayed way to long, when I phoned in, the rep informed me that the address on my Pal is different than the shipping address, I told her I have never changed addresses, when she checked, sure enough the address match, but the note says it can not be shipped. I was promised to have it fixed, still waiting. Never Cabelas ever again. Lesson learned.
We ordered an Eskimo ice auger, the shipment arrived in 4 days, rivalling Amazon. We ordered 2 Striker Ice floatation suits, a fishing rod and a drill attachment, the order was 6 items shipped in parts, the last of the order was a jacket arriving in 12 days. We ordered a hard to find ice transducer and 2 pairs of fishing gloves, the shipment arrived in 5 days. Note that all these items were on sale. The shipments were boxed good and came with prepaid return labels. We have no problems with Cabela's and will continue to order from them.
Your website is a glitchy p.o.s. Tell me how you don't use visa debit but don't say anything. Enter 5 gift cards,20 numbers each, just for you say start over than when you start over it changes the size of the item your buying to the wrong size and you purchase the wrong thing. Now I have to sit on hold to get through to change. What a joke.

I ordered some amo and Mag for my pistol. They first came back stating they can't send me the mags, which is fine. Than, then came again stating there is no more.22 LR. Knowing it was kinda cheap price, I requested for a rain check so next time I go in store, I can purchase it my self. APPARENTLY they don't do any rain check. ANY STORE would do that kind of rain check.
Terrible customer service! Ordered online, waiting for order 2 weeks! Emailed Cabelas twice, two days ago.still no reply! Called Cabelas on hold for an hour! Only to be told they are behind in orders, over whelmed.really,? Geee what does Amazon do? They seem to handle shipments as does Old Navy! I've never run into such poor delivery commitment or customer service as with Cabelas!
They need to separate the Cabela's and Bass pro websites. I live in Toronto and can't check to see if an item is available at the Vaughn store. I'm getting tired of waisting my time driving to the store to find out they don't have what I want. If I don't want to wait for something to be shipped I have to drive 2 hrs to Barrie to get disappointed. I'm an old school guy who likes to have something in my hand and check out before I buy. I've started using Sail in Oshawa at least they keep their site up to date.
If you order online in Canada you should get an online tracking number for UPS, it is useless unless you set up an account with UPS and give them your personal info. Try and phone Cabelos about tracking and the computer says call Ups or wait forever to get a human. Never again.
10 days expected delivery from shipping partner UPS!. I have never experienced this slow shipping even from Canada Post. Seems like no one in the upper ranks really cares about this issue with customer service since it has been going on for quite a while. I am not an isolated incident. I give it less than a year before Cabela's in Canada is gone at this rate. I should of read all the reviews before I ordered online from them. Industry standard is 2 - 3 days to most metro areas in Canada.
Customer service rep, after waiting for 10 minutes on hold, tells me it is not their problem. But who decided to use UPS as their main courier service?
I realize that these are difficult times but a month ago I placed an order for curb-side pick up at our local store. Half of the order arrived a week later, as expected. Haven't seen the rest of the order and it has now been a month. Efforts to reach anyone either by phone or email have been impossible. The longest I sat on hold on the phone was 20 minutes and I finally had to hang up due to the crap music I was forced to listen to. I emailed and was told that these are unprecedented times and everything is delayed. I get that, but for the love of god, you need a better system in place to at least let people know what is going on with their order. Won't be shopping here any time soon.
Clearly their error. Description is "towels". Picture is 2 towels. Ordered them and got one towel. Customer service reply is just return the goods. Yes I have a return lable. I am 6.5 hours and 4 hours from a store, so due to their erro I get to make a trip to the post office after prepping a package. The goods came in a bag not suitable for reshipping/returning, so up to me.

There has been numerous times when the local store (Regina) was out of stock of a product, will not or cannot get any from warehouse or other stores. My only option is to drive to Calgary seven hours away. Cabela take a close look at Wholesale sports and Target. Ignoring customers inevitably leads to Bankruptcy.
Placed an order on April 29,2020. As of May 19,2020 I still have not received it. Customer service is non-existent. Cant get through either via email or by phone. Nobody responds.
Being forced to dispute the charge through my credit card company.
Will never order from them again.
