I never received a final confirmation within 24 hours of our check-in but live chatted with someone over 20 minutes to be affirmed that our reservation made in August was indeed confirmed. Made me a bit nervous but all worked out.
Contacted Cancelon by e-mail 4 times, by phone twice and via their "contact us" feature on the website with NO return reply other than "we received your message and will reply shortly". They did finally reply after we had already checked in to our hotel. I would not use this company again and would caution against using them.
I booked a hotel in Honolulu with them about 4 months ahead of my trip. Unfortunately, I have to change my trip dates about 2 months before the trip but they refused to do it. They didn't tell me that on the first call. I had to call a second time to get a confirmation of the change and they told me they don't want to do it, but they would agree to the change if the hotel approves it. I called the hotel, the hotel agreed to the change, I send the confirmation to CancelOn but they still refuse to do it. They charged me for 4 nights and paid the hotel for the 3 nights stayed. Even if I provided all the information and requested it several times before and after the trip, they refused to process the refund for one night and stopped answering my e-mails. I will never use them again and I tell people to stay away from them.

Then, when they cannot match the price, they change for another hôtel and another room. When yo want to cancel because it is not what you paid for, they charge you the full amount, unless you fight with them for hours... They should be in mail, not in trivago...

After getting in touch with their customer service and involving the hotel staff. Cancelon ended up paying the difference. I ended up paying the fare that I agreed with cancelon. I am glad their customer service took care of the matter but I wouldn't pray even for my enemies to go through such an experience when booking a vacation.

I booked 2 a day stay in New Orleans using this website. Firstly, the hotel had no record of the booking until I spent many hours with the customer service rep over multiple phone calls. Per my discussion with their teams the rooms were already paid for and I only had to pay for my expenses. I stayed there for 2 days then checked out clearing whatever balance I had (my receipt mentions balance $0.00). Two months later, I was billed ~$1000 from my hotel's credit department mentioning that the third party had refused to pay them. I ended up being charged twice for these rooms, by Cancelon as well as the hotel I stayed with. Upon calling my Bank, the hotel and Cancelon. It appears they will/can not do anything to reverse this and I am ending up paying the full price twice for the rooms.

I booked a hotel in Chicago through cancelon and they never actually booked my room they just billed my credit card. Then, days later, when the hotel still hadn't received a legitimate booking, they lied about it and tried to charge me a cancellation fee for a service that the hotel confirmed they never provided. Scam. Don't waste your time. They list a nonrefundable rate, take your money, then cancel the reservation. In my case, it was within 24hrs of booking and I just so happened to read my email. What would happen if they cancel it right before checkin? What's stopping them? You're screwed. Do not book through them unless you like having to redo your search and reservations multiple times. This Mickey Mouse outfit will leave you guessing is you *really* have a reservation?

I've booked from cancelon, but when i called the actual hotel about that they said that they did not know or work with that website and i'm probably scammed, because all of the rooms were fully booked at the time of my reservation.
When i call or mail cancelon, they say "they'll look into it" but all they need to do is call or mail the hotel to learn about my booking. I already know that there are no rooms available, so why does cancelon keep wasting my time? Also, when i say that i want my money refunded so that i can book another hotel, they say it's non-refundable until it is confirmed that there is no vacancy. The hotel staff themselves said that there is no vacancy, so why am i waiting?

0 stars!. I found them through trivago for a hotel we booked for our babymoon. They changed their little "cancelation policy" I was given and never notified me via email of their change. So when I called to cancel our hotel within the appropriate time, they refused to refund my money. Then, they kept calling back and harassing me (after I called my credit card company to dispute) claiming they would refund half of the charges and "would try to get the rest back from the hotel" if I made the dispute go away. The "managers" were super rude, arguing with me from the get go! I have booked and cancelled trips with Orbitz, hotels.com, and many others with trivago, and they all have appropriate and fairly stated cancel policies. This site seems to do what they please to get your money. COMPLETE SCAM. STAY AWAY!

I booked reservations back in Jan 2020 for Florida for Disney trip in September 2020. They canceled my reservation without my knowledge. I was not refunded my money, this company filled a chapter 11 in March 2020. The number to this company is no longer available and no one will honor my reservation. I was ripped off.
Through this website I ended up paying $140. Dollars more for Hyatt hotel than if I would have booked my stay directly with Hyatt. When booking in advance you save money but not with this website... TRUE SCAMMERS and their cancellation policy sucks.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM CANCELON. They are a horrible group to work with. The rate we saw online was not ultimately the rate we got charged. When I questioned them on this, this is the stock reply they gave:
"... Also, we would like to inform you there are several parties are involved to confirm your reservation at the hotel and for that, there are some fees for that as well. So that is the reason to charge you that amount.
We would also like to inform you that in the hotel industry the price of the reservation changes often and we cannot guarantee the price and at the time of making the reservation the price was different and at time of your check in the price was different.
So we are very sorry but we will not be able to cover any kind of amount."
The "fees" they're talking about ended up being approximately another 50% adder to the rate we saw online (through Trivago).

Booked a hotel for a event in New Orleans. Due to a building clasping in the area around the hotel. The roads were CLOSED. I could not get to the hotel. I asked for a full refund on October 12 2019. Cancelon called the hotel to verify the truth. After hotel confirmed this Cancelon said it would be turned over for a refund. After four phone calls and four emails LATER I still have not received my money. It has now been over a month. Cancelon has refused to give me any information on the SO call 3rd party that they work with so I can contact them myself. Horrible company!

I made a pre-paid reservation that was described as cancellable. At the last step (I believe after I'd already paid), they revealed that while the reservation could be canceled, there was a 10% cancellation fee.

I thought I found a great deal on cancelon but aftsr my experience I won't be using them again. Because of their lack of communication with the hotel, the hotel charged me in addition to what I already paid brought cancelon. I've been chasing my refund for over a week and God knows if I'll even get one. To top it off I had to chase a confirmation email from them upon my purchase which was absolutely ludicrous. Only way I was able to trace the order was that I thankfully screensjotted the window before it refreshed. But it's just unacceptable! It ought to be shut. Trip advisor needs to CANCEL CANCELON.

I purchased a hotel reservation through Cancelon in October 2019. My reservations were for a four night stay in New York in June 2020. I contacted the hotel in April to check on the status of their hotel during this pandemic. I was told Cancelon cancelled my hotel on March 23rd. I had no knowledge of this cancellation. Needless to say, three days later on March 26th, Cancelon filed for bankruptcy. I have not heard from them nor am I able to get in touch with them. I am out $1,537. I booked through Trivago but then my financial transaction was completed through Cancelon. Trivago told me I should have taken out travel insurance. What a joke! Both of these companies should be ashamed of themselves.
I tried to book a room and the date on the confirmation was different to the date booked. Fortunately I spotted this and called to ask how to fix this. The Indian sounding man who picked up the phone said their system was not working with Mac or IOS or Safari growers and try using the Google browser.
I tried to book using the Google browser and this time the reserved dates on the confirmation were right but payment wasn't accepted on every credit card I entered. I called again and the same man who told me to use the Google browser then said that the reason was because I was using the Google browser!
I then gave up and just hope they don't fraudulently use my credit card numbers.
Do not use.

In February 2017 we booked our trip using CANCELON.com to Harrah's Las Vegas for a Thanksgiving 2017 holiday. We thought we got a good deal, but was shocked and horrified to discover that our reservation did NOT include an additional "resort fee" of $30 per day. This resulted in an additional $150 charge that we did not have and did not expect. There is NOTHING in our original travel voucher that says we'd have to pay extra resort fees. If this had been disclosed at the time of booking, we would have skipped this trip. It makes us even angrier because our sister booked the same trip (spur of the moment) and spent $140 LESS than us. I called to complain but got no satisfaction. #*******

Do not use them if you really need your room to be available for you. They do not care about your plans or reservations, trust me. You WILL be screwed, so don't say you weren't warned.

Cancelon does not state there is a $35 cancellation fee for them while booking a hotel thru them. It only tells you this once you purchase and receive an email. They will refund the hotel reservation if you cancel it before the deadline but they will deduct $35 from the refund for their fee, VERY DECEIVING! I suggest you call your credit card company and dispute their fee.
Don't use this company. They are very rigid and not costumer friendly. They screwed up our dates and would not change to the correct date. We were not asking for a refund just book for the correct date. They would not reveal who they represent and were not at all cooperative. We are out our money because they were not flexibility. They are and Indian middle man.

I booked the hotel and quickly received a confirmation. Despite the confirmation, I received an email less than a week before departure cancelling my hotel booking because the hotel was overbooked. I called the hotel directly and was told they never had a record of my booking. Not impressed.

Made a reservation through Cancelon for 9 days ath Novotel London Excel hotel. I'm flying in from the USA in 6 days and noticed that Cancelon canceled my reservation due to a system glitch. Now rates are inflated everywhere because it's less than a week and I need to make new reservations. BEWARE!
Booked a room at 8:00 in the morning for Saturday night after an event in a small that was 5 hours away. Got to my hotel at 9:00, they had not record of it. Checked through my emails, at 6:38 they had sent me one, cancelling the reservation, saying they could not find me a room at that hotel. Hotel was sold out. Now at 9:00, the town was sold out. Spoke to them, they couldn't even help me find a room. They never tell you that they don't have immediate access to hotel bookings. BEWARE! Price wasn't even that much better than other site. I will never use them again.

Is it a fraud operation? I purchased a hotel and received an e-mail stating that "We received your payment for reservation". I also received the e-mail confirmation and tried to conatct the hotel and I am told they have not received anything under my name. They told me it is so strange the way Cancelon is procedding. I tried to reach them in the phone number and you can never reach them. There is nobody getting your calls, except some music running for hours. The hotel asked for their number as well so that they could contact them. Let us hope they would not be in the terms of being investigated.

Initial booking of hotel went smoothly, quickly received a voucher as well as a notice saying I would receive a final confirmation no later than 24 hours before stay... Received email from Sitejabber 4 days prior to stay asking if I received confirmation from Cancelon which I did not... I contacted Cancelon via live chat, the agent gave me a confirmation # in the chat and informed me I received an email on 11/8, which I did not... I asked her to resend it, never received it, so asked her to try a 2nd email I have which she would not do... Fingers crossed when I get to NYC this weekend that we have a room to stay in!... I will follow up with the hotel itself today...
I booked Movenpick hotel phuket with cancelon. I trusted them since their prices were showing under Trivago. However, upon confirming reservation with Movenpick, they said that the reservation is not with them and instead with Ikon Hotel and referred me to contact cancelon / Ikon hotel for further info. I tried calling Cancelon (Australian support - 1800 *******) but no one answers. I called Ikon hotel and they confirmed my reservation with them. I never booked Ikon hotel. After numerous tries contacting cancelon, some girl called me and said that they can either try to fix the booking i. E. i still stay with Movenpick or they can refund me the money. I still trusted them and went ahead with them fixing the booking but i didn't hear back for 2 days. I tried contacting again and they responded back writing that they can't rebook me with Movenpick and the only option is to get refund and it will take 3 -10 days. It's been 3 days now and i cant book a hotel until i get refund.
