I can't believe what these guys get away with. They are heartless and ruthless. I am convinced they're run by organized crime. Charge $29 overlimit fee if month end service charges put you over your measly limit. When you phone to complain, someone who can barely speak or understand English, puts you on hold for 25 minutes to look into the matter then come back with the bad news, wasting all your time. To say Capital One sucks bigtime is an understatement. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RIPOFF!
NEVER TRUST Capital ONE. NEVER GO WITH HEM. Avoid AT ALL COST. STAY FAR AWAY FROM ANY WALMART OR CAPITAL ONE CREDIT CARD. CUSTOMERSERVICE IS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. CAPITAL ONE PREYS ON YOU AND WILL TAKE YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE. NEVER OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. NEVER TAKE A LOAN OUT WITH THEM. STAY FAR AWAY FROM CAPITAL ONE. The account managers are worse. THEY DO NOT VALUE THIER CUSTOMERS
I just recently paid my 2k dollar credit card off like I do every month on a Friday oct 22. They took the payment out of my bank account on the next day, listed my capital account balance as zero but also had available credit as zero. I call customer service, horrible unhelpful people, tells me they have the money they took out of my account but my account will not be credited till nov1. I blew up so they take your money earn interest off it for 8-10days and then credit your account talk about bull$#*!. Needless to say I canceled the account. Worst credit card ever
I find it bad practice of capital one part. To charge me 29 for 2 dollar overage... that was not something I authorized... and I fixed but two dollars really... and if I were at a restaurant or store that transaction would not have been allowed... I been with company over 4 years and this how I am treated. For a 2 dollar overage they charge me 29 dollars. Simply bad business.
I was hospitalized for several months in 2020 and into 2021. I had 14 surgeries and 2 skin grafts, and was in a coma induced state for much of this time. Upon starting my recovery journey, I had plans of purchasing a home and using my Venture card (with $15k limit) to purchase large items. I started using my card again to purchase some of these items, and realized my line had been decreased to $5k. I immediately called customer service. An ederly man who sounded brand new assisted me and advised that because I didn't use the line, it had been decreased. I explained my situation but he said nothing could be done. He said it was my fault because they mailed me letters warning me. I advised I never received them. Two days later I called back to unlock an old accounts and it turns out they had the wrong address on file, supporting my claim I never received notification. I asked to speak to management about this issue and to request a credit line increase back on my card. She was very callous to my situation. I offered to provide documentation providing proof of my hospitalization and my upcoming home purchase. She advised it was a business decision and no reversal could be made. Not only does this decision negatively impact my credit score, but it also impacts my ability to make my purchases for my new home. I've been a loyal customer for 7 years, and have always paid on time. I have three different accounts with Capitol One. The total disregard for customer health during a global pandemic is unreal and disappointing to say the least. I will be taking my business, and hard earned money, elsewhere.
#CapitalOne are frauds & thieves. Even if you pay your credit card balance from #CapitalOne account they "hold" the payment for seven business days to make sure the payment clears "my bank". I cut the card up and cancelled the account.
After a full year of active account with no late payments I was never offered a unsecured card. I decided to close account with a 0 balance. I've been waiting a month for my deposit that I opened account with. You will never see my business again.
Cannot get in to my online account my personal phone is in another account so they want me to take a send no way 18 years if they do not know me by now f ck u
They have a terrible customer service. And they support scammers. I had purchased an item from a Fecebook ad and they sent me not what I ordered. I contacted Capital One and they said there was nothing they could do about it. When I disputed the charge and sent them all the proof of the scam that I got into, they took over 60 days to look into it and then said that the case has expired and they are not going to give me a refund. It happened twice already! They always support scammers because they don't care about the customers, but they make profits from any transaction.
Absolutely disgusting! I closed the account.
Don't ever want to deal with this company
34 min wait time only to get Brono who is slow and can't get me what I need because they are closed at night... also the website doesn't have the relevant info regarding car rental. AVOID CAPITAL ONE.
A reoccurring deposit of my payroll check had a hold put on it. I deposited the check on a Friday afternoon and will not have access to the funds until Tuesday after midnight the following week. Same Employer, same check from same bank from same account the payroll check was wrote on. I had made several calls to capital one only to have
Thier customer service reps. Threaten with an even longer wait time to make funds available. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a bank ever. Capital one has been a head ache from day one and I would not recommend this bank to no one. Run, if you work for your money and want access to it.
Worst bank STAY AWAY, have a joint account, with daughter whose in college, everytime they want to verify something, they insist in speaking with her. What's the point of a JOINT account?

So I went to wells Fargo atm drive thru got cash paid $3 dollars fee then later I found out that capital one bank also charged me $2 dollars fee when I called put me on hold after a while told me there nothing they can do for me. Will not recommend capital one bank to anyone

PROFILE ACCOUNTS
PROFILE ACCOUNTS - RUDE and DISRESPTFUL -- This company picks who they want to help and than gives reasons saying your not eligible for help. Capital One is one of the worst companies in banks, and credit cards how they treat their customers is atrocious - They have the slogan "What's in your wallet" nothing because you have taken everything and expect more - Stay away from these cards and this company in my opinion. They charge high fees, and they have outrageous annual fees. Go with other companies if you are trying to get your credit fixed or establish credit don't use Capital One -- They do profile accounts based on who you are in my experience they say they want to help those who suffered from covid yet they don't take into consideration that people are STILL hurting and getting kicked out of houses, losing jobs, and trying to get jobs this world is a mess right now and companies like this need to be put in check to help those with fees and trying to work with them. I hope that sometime some of these (managers) or (supervisors) can experience what other's do it's not always the best route to be on the other end asking for help and asking for a courtesy.
I paid my card off in Full, 3 months ago. I got an email saying I needed to make a payment. I checked the account, that has been closed, to see why I had a payment. I accidently left a dollar on the account, had no idea. Capital one charged me $80 in fees. I was told it was because I had a $1 balance. CS took off 4o dollars only after I had made a Huge fuss. They then turned around and reported me for being late to Transunion causing my credit report to fall by 6 POINTS... All this for $1. STAY AWAY FROM CAPITAL ONE!
I have been a customer for years and always paid on time and this is how I'm treated? I'll take my business elsewhere! Terrible company and customer service. I paid off a credit card balance in full. ZERO balance. Then got charged interest on ZERO dollars the next month which you'd think... hmm math being math, that equals zero. But according to capital one that equals $145. And no that isn't my renewal charge. Spent an hour on the phone with them to be transferred 4x and have the top supervisor tell me literally the exact same thing as the first person. Completely useless people working their and have no clue and no ability to do or answer questions. Here's a tip capital one. Fire all employees and you'll get the same results.

Step 1: Contact our Customer Service team.
Don't worry about the rest step, because well trained customer service team will keep tell you:
You have to pay even we all know it is a scram, but as long as scammers have your information, we will charged to your new unexposed capital one credit car.
Also forget the rest complain process, because nobody can get their contact information from us, unless you are scammers.
Step 2: Speak with our Executive Response Committee.
Step 3: Contact the Office of the Capital One Ombudsman.
Step 4: Contact the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI).
Yes, this very annoying and frustrating. I get penalized for paying off the balance on my credit card each month, by getting a hold placed on my card for an entire week. Can't use my card for a whole week.
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
Answer: From my experience, they appear to be nothing but a shady scam bank.
Answer: They offered nice rewards back It sounded more impressive than it is. Big mistake.
Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
