I'm not sure why this site has so many bad reviews. As a person who used to own a survey site, it's probably from people not following directions, or trying to use the card after they sold it. It worked perfectly for me, I sold two cards, a Macy's card that I got from swagbucks and a Victoria Secret card that I gave to a Tinder chick and took it back from her after I found out she got some more side dudes without asking me first. Got my check in about 5 biz days.
I bought gift cards for one merchant and they were electronic but took too long to get to me through e-mail (which should be almost instant)... the item I was trying to purchase went out of stock and then back off sale back to its original price which was double the amount. $300 instead of on sale for $150 when I bought the gift cards. I've been e-mailing for a month now and NO responses, not a single one! Then I purchased a gift card last week and still have not received it. Other sites I've used I get the gift card within 15 mins... this one I'm lucky if I get it at all and definitely no refunds whatsoever... don't waste your money even if they price for a bigger discount it's not worth losing a couple of hundred dollars or more. The screenshot shows their one automated response saying they will get back to me... but when? In a few years?
Bought a Home Depot E-Card - came 2 days later. Not a big deal but they do say it will be 1 business day. I received a call from them prior to getting my card in an email that really made me a little uncomfortable. They were calling to verify the purchase - they asked me the address used to purchase, what the 1-800 number was on the back of my card that was used and a major crossroad near my address. If I had committed fraud that is all information that I could of obtained - I didn't see the point of them asking any of that. The rep who I was speaking to was not very friendly but that's not really the point I guess - I'll just leave the review with everything worked out fine but It definitely made me uneasy.
I have dealt with Cardpool many times over a period of 2-3 years and had been very satisfied. However, I bought a Chili's card about 3 months ago for $50, and there was ZERO balance on it. I contacted the company immediately -- and then again, and again, and again, and again, and again -- but they have yet to do anything about it. No one returns my phone calls or emails. Up to this point, I was a loyal customer. However, it appears I've now lost my $50 and there's nowhere I can go to get it back. This is a game changer. Warning!
First transaction with them, the only good thing about them is the processing time is ok, after two business day after the cards were delivered I received a phone call regarding where and how I got the cards I was trying to sell. After another two days, they cancelled the whole transaction with no explanation and due to the lack of direct customer service number, you have to wait almost 24 hrs for each email reply. And don't bother calling their bulk sale number, they will not help you. And at the end, all they give you is "we can not disclose how the decision was made." This must be a joke, I was the original purchaser with receipts in hand from the physical store themselves to prove it. Overall, a huge disappointment.
Very disappointed experience! I have been waiting for more than 24 hours and still have not received the gift cards. I was planning to purchase tickets for Saturday shows. But time has past, all the seat were filled. My friends and I need to purchase regular price tickets at another theater instead. What a waste of time!
If I could give zero or negative Stars, I would. After using them twice back in 2017, I thought they were trustworthy. Since then I have tried on three separate occasions to sell them three separate cards that I now suddenly have a zero balance on, but have never gotten paid for. I realized there was an issue once I kept receiving a message back stating that I could not use a prepaid debit card. That was when I tried to use my PayPal Business or Chime card. Ok. Fair enough. So, if that's your policy then so be it. The order/request should never have been processed. Now, what I would like to know, is... why all of a sudden do I need to be verified again, charging my account $1 simply to verify my identity even though I've already sold 2 prior gift cards and have an account? And two... where did the money of the gift card go and where is MY money?
Bought a gift card and it did not work. I started sending emails the middle of January and no one has gotten back to me. No phone number and no response from them. I follow up every week. This company is just the worst.
Scam... scam... scam... be aware... Promised delivery within 3-7 business day, after more than 3 weeks, cards never arrived, never refunded.
On Jul 1st, 2015 paid $ 68.04 for cards, waited more than 3 weeks, never received them. Never get any refund. Emails 4 times, only to say wait. Finally get my credit card involved for help. Stay away from this company.
This website does not even have a phone number in 2017 but has tens of thousands of dollars worth of gift cards for sale. Enough said. But what there's more, you will never receive your online gift codes upon purchase. Instead you will receive an email saying your identity needs to be confirmed and you have to send emails back and forth because they have no phone number. Use "Raise.com" or ""Cardcash.com" for fast and safe transactions. Run from this website and run fast
I am amazed by negative reviews. I have done about 10 transactions with them, buying about $500 in cards each time. I have had zero problems. This took place during the second half of 2013 and all of 2014. I've saved money at several stores with this.
I did try purchasing gift card from cardpool (https://cardpool.com)but unfortunately I had to wait 1 whole day to learn that my order was not processed.
When I asked them the reason why my order was not processed this is the response that I got:
""Edward, our risk department does not disclose their reasons for security purposes. Thank you. ""
My response was:"well, I don't know what the problem is, but I am writing in regard to fix it. I am trying to buy gift cards with my credit card and that's all."
However, unfortunately no reply.
Help your self and don't was your time on this website like I did. Their customer support is hopeless and their website doesn't work. I am starting to think that all process is just to steal your credit card information
I ordered gift cards, they charged my credit card and were holding the e cards hostage until they spoke to me. Their call center doesn't answer with a live operator and you have to leave a message and wait for a call back. Also, why limit customer service hours to Pacific time. Most of the population of the country lives in other time zones.
Cardpool is a complete waste of time. I "bought" $800 worth Apple electronic gift cards at 4% savings from them last Saturday, Monday they cancelled my order per their "risk assessment" team. So I on immediately bought $800 worth BestBuy electronic gift cards at 6% savings from them. 3 days later -Thursday- after 2 emails to them they finally cancelled again my order per their "risk assessment" team. I don´´t care about saving $1 on a $25 gift card. That costs me more time than it saves money.
I bought cards from CardPool for years. About 6 months ago, I purchased cards that had no value. It took quite a while to get those replaced. They said they had moved, so things were held up. Well, another card, this time a $50 one to be used at a famous coffee retailer, turned out to have no value. Three or four emails later, still with no response, I have determined that their 'move' was a hoax and they've just changed their policies and are no longer the helpful company I have dealt with in the past. I consider myself lucky. This card was only worth $50. I've purchased some worth thousands and had no (major) problems. If the card was empty, they made it good. Apparently that is no longer their policy -- just as answering emails is no longer part of their policy. They've seen the last of me.
I had read all the negative reviews and was blindly hopeful... Well, looks like I just lost $250 on my Gamestop gift card return. Received e-mail 3 weeks later: "Upon processing, the merchant reported that the Game Stop gift card was invalid and not activated."
I verified the card before sending it to them. Go figure.
I purchased and paid for a $50 e-gift card on 3/31 for an upcoming
Event, it's 4/3 and I've received nothing. No email inquiry
Response. Their site states e-gift cards are emailed within 10 minutes,
Sometimes it can take up to 1 business day. There would be no reason to
Not immediately process an order if they actually have the e-card in
Their system, their software should be programmed to do so. They're
Obviously a very shady business if they're advertising e-cards they
Don't have or are incompetent. They have now spoiled the event I planned
To use it for. This company needs to be investigated by ic3 and SHUT
DOWN! I'll be reporting them and everyone else who's been taken
Advantage of should as well!
I finally received my two gift cards I had ordered, both one week later than expected, with full value.
I see some other people starting to post on Cardpool's Facebook page about finally receiving their gift cards ordered.
Also, Cardpool has started responding to some comments.
Hopefully, things get back to normal soon.
I started using them as their rates were higher then others... but they are SLOW to list cards you sell and if you have any over $100 forget it. They cancelled so many of my cards with no reason what-so-ever. I have receipts and everything for all the cards I sell and they still reject them and refuse to tell me why.
Move on, there are better sites out there.
I sent in a 50$ Apple Store gift card in exchange for a written check for $44.75 and after reading the reviews I grew sceptical. I was honestly surprised when my check came in the mail today, but it came only 4 days from me submitting it online. Very satisfied, will definitely use again thank you Card Pool!
I was skeptical at first but the temptation to save over powered me. I purchased a $100 Cabela's electronic gift card for $90 and had the email with the numbers within an hour of the transaction. I made my purchase from Cabela's with no issue. 3 days later the items ship and on the 4th day I am notified by Cabela's that the card was purchased fraudulently. I notified Cardpool immediately and was issued a full refund from them with and extra Cardpool gift card for my trouble. Cardpool's customer service handled this issue great and I would do business with them again especially knowing that they will stand by the sale. I was more frustrated by Cabela's as I thought they treated me more incorrectly over this situation. I just want to let people know of my issue and how it was handled. I am sure these things happen when you are in this type of business but Cardpool handled this issue very well in my opinion.
Sent proof to customer NO service of a referral who clicked and purchased but they refused to look into it and dismissed me entirely. Wrote to company and no response. Would not do business with again. Don't value customers.
I logged onto their website on 12/23/19 to sell an Olive Garden gift card. Their website indicates a 3-4 business day turn-around. It is now 1/7/20 and I have seen nothing. I have emailed--no answer. I called Customer Service. The person I spoke with said Customer Service does not have a direct # to call so she took a message -- RIGHT. She also said to email Customer Service -- I told her I already had with no response. I would say if you have an alternative vendor to work through, try them. This is my first--and last--time with CardPool.
Should have looked at all the reviews before letting them charge $25 on my credit card for a gift card I have not received after waiting 15 days so far and sending them a note. Now I am afraid that if I do receive this card, that it has no money on it...
Will write a note to the attorney general of California. Someone has to put them out of business!
Since the beginning of 2014 I started to purchase giftcards from Cardpool. My purchases were under $30 per card and had no issues. In late Feb. Had an incident that I received a gift card about two weeks after placing an order. Now, I ordered an Starbucks e-gift card which is a paper card. I received it in the proper amount of time but I got a piece of paper with a picture from starbucks but not numbers, no barcode, nothing. So how am I suppose to use this? The lack of a customer service number is just unacceptable. There are many other gift card retailers that provide better service, a delivery confirmation number and a customer service number. I won't be using Cardpool anymore, not worth the hassle.
Enough said. Did everything I needed to to send the card out, nothing ever came of it. They keep sending the emails saying "reminder to send out your card!" and I've had to block. I've tried calling, but like everyone else... nothing. I think the whole number is a scam and no one ever checks it.
PLEASE someone hold these thieves accountable.
Cardpool.com charged my visa credit card 520 times $89.00 in November 2018, which was over $30,000 for gift cards I never requested and never received. They stated
That they sent e-cards to my email. My credit card company wants me to pay for it. I reported it to local police station. It is impossible reach out Cardpool customer service over phone. One time I got lucky to speak with person who said I need to communicate over e-mail only. Over e-mail I get always only automated e-mail responds. Now my credit score changed to poor. Bank harassing me with hour long phone calls, with same questions.
