I'm not sure why this site has so many bad reviews. As a person who used to own a survey site, it's probably from people not following directions, or trying to use the card after they sold it. It worked perfectly for me, I sold two cards, a Macy's card that I got from swagbucks and a Victoria Secret card that I gave to a Tinder chick and took it back from her after I found out she got some more side dudes without asking me first. Got my check in about 5 biz days.
I bought gift cards for one merchant and they were electronic but took too long to get to me through e-mail (which should be almost instant)... the item I was trying to purchase went out of stock and then back off sale back to its original price which was double the amount. $300 instead of on sale for $150 when I bought the gift cards. I've been e-mailing for a month now and NO responses, not a single one! Then I purchased a gift card last week and still have not received it. Other sites I've used I get the gift card within 15 mins... this one I'm lucky if I get it at all and definitely no refunds whatsoever... don't waste your money even if they price for a bigger discount it's not worth losing a couple of hundred dollars or more. The screenshot shows their one automated response saying they will get back to me... but when? In a few years?
It's taken days for my order to be settled because apparently an $85 purchase requires a phone call to Cardpool for a survey that verifies your identity. I haven't experienced this elsewhere and to think that a card that I needed days ago is going to take another 24 hours to get to me... well, that's just ridiculous. Huge inconvenience and disappointment.
I just ordered $140.00 of Home Depot e-gift cards from Cardpool, but even though They took my credit card payment through their website and then I later verified my credit card HAS been charged, days later I still have not received my e-gift cards. There should have been no delay. I have excellent credit, and have placed countless purchases on line from sites such as Amazon. Their organization is notoriously slow and risky, and a Buyer MUST is very wary of them. Further there is no one to ask and present your concerns to. Proceed at your own risk.
I enter the codes for my $625.17 my Bloomingdale's gift cards and I received a call from Oscar *******787 2 days later asking me questions, where do I get the gift card, how long do I have it, where is the location the GC issued, etc… 4 days later, I got this email,
"We recently received your gift card code transaction but our processing center encountered an issue while processing your card. We are unable to accept these gift card codes at this time and we are returning ownership of this gift card to you". The PROBLEM is my card was used and the balance is $14.
Stay away from cardpool.com. Scam!
After Search around the web
Anson Tsai (the owner - cell *******147) and Jeff (order support - cell *******811).
I sold them a 415$ kohls card. Gave them my information on my card and guess what? Surprise...! I didn't get nada from nothing... no notification or nothing so my family and 3 daughter's of mine went shopping thinking the transaction didn't go through. They milked me of everything. Contacted kohls with no help after calling and emailing cardpool. No response at all hours like their always busy. It smells like a duck, it's a dam duck.! Straight scam.! Logged in and they erase all transactions of mine too. Hope the FBI GET THEM like I read. They fake and good at it. DONT FALL FOR THEM. They even erase the transaction again!
Terrible customer service. Was contacted by customer service to confirm my order with some additional details. "No problem" I thought... except they never answer the phone! I finally got a hold of the one customer service rep (Amelia) and confirmed all my details only to receive an email that my order was cancelled,
Choose one of Cardpool's many competitors, you'll be glad you did.
Not sure why there are so many negative reviews about this company, I think that they are great. I ordered a $65 H&M card from them on Sunday, 11/22, I paid $45 for it(That is 30% off) and I received it today 11/27. I also called H&M to verify that the card was legit and it is. Happy shopping people
I am very disappointed and angry!
I purchased card JCPenney Electronic Gift Card $ 97.33(05/27/2012)
Currently card did not arrived on my mail (05/29)
Wanted to get a little economies- received headache..
Sold cards to carpool for years and always got my checks on time. This year it's been very different, they take your cards and refuse to pay out. They no longer respond to e-mails either. No phone to reach them either. It seems they are now running a criminal scam and enterprise. Deal with them at your own risk.
DO NOT by or sell cards to Carpool.com. They take your money and give you expired cards and they do not have a phone #! It has been a week and I have heard nothing back from them. STAY AWAY! All of their reviews on their website are fake as well.
I ordered gift cards from them. They have never emailed a card back as promised. I have never been able to get through on their 800 number except to leave messages and they never call back. Be very cautious with this outfit. Sitejabber should investigate this firm and warn potential customers.
I have only used this site twice, but times they were quick and easy to process. I am a buyer, not a seller, so that might make a difference. I am so 'stoked' to get gift cards at a discount! So it takes a few days to get the physical card... worth it to me. Will alert this site if something goes amiss. My mom just bought cards from them.
Tip for consumers:
Expect to wait for your cards, and don't be surprised at what the picture is on the card...(ie: more appropriate for a baby, wedding, etc)

I have been buying discounted cards from Cardpool for a few months now. Still as only a buyer - never a seller. During that time I rec'd one card which had a zero balance. Cardpool made good on the transaction right away - the same with Raise- they refunded my transaction without dispute. We have been able to save a good bit of money just by
I'm not sure when it happened, but a change of ownership or something else happened to cause them to become a scam. I have sold numerous gift cards, both physically and electronically to Cardpool in the past. No problems. But I recently sold them a e-gift card and after nearly 3 weeks, it's still sitting there "in review". Emails go unanswered and there is no way to contact a live person. Thankfully, this was not physically sent to them and I can cancel. If this is your situation (e gift card), go to your account, pull up listings and delete. This will cancel the transaction. They need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau! Stay Away!
I ordered one physical gift card, and it arrived quickly and was for the amount stated. More impressively, I am impatient but frugal (bad combo sometimes) and decided to order electronic gift cards to purchase a TV since I didn't want to wait for cards in the mail. I received the codes for the 4 separate gift cards within 1-2 hours of placing the orders and was able to use them and place the order the same evening I ordered the gift cards. Saved over $50 by waiting a couple hours... not bad. Will use again. Would give 5 stars if they had a phone number you could call.
I previously used CardPool about a year ago with no issues. I sent in $50 worth of Fandago gift cards via Amazon payout. I did this because they said it would take 1 - 3 business days. It's been two weeks and I've emailed them multiple times. I've called and left messages. I would've just gone to another site that pays out for slightly less to make up for how terrible their customer service is.
Sent in my gift cards, got confirmation they were received, never got paid. Company has no phone number and emails are ignored. I had to shut off my debit card so they could't steal anything else from me. Made a complaint to the BBB but I'm sure nothing will come of it. Please stay away!
I've never shopped with them before, but it seems the 10 minutes/1 business day timeline is a hoax. Cardpool really needs to beef up the narrative surrounding the timeline from order placement to fulfillment.
Having said that, if you call *******787 and request a cancellation politely, you may be meet with success as I just did. The representative was very patient and polite in helping me do so. Here's hoping they follow through.
Wish I have check the reviews before the purchase from card pool. However first time purchase was successful. Made the second purchase paid 172.00 for a 190.00 lowes card on 03/11/14. After 2 days no reply no nothing. Then I found out there's no number to call and it makes worry a bit. No choice so send them an e mail, got a sample reply saying they are so busy due to post holidays sale. ( Holiday)? This is March what holiday, send them 2 more e mail and they told me that they have issue a refund on 04/14 but I check on line with my bank after 3 days. Still no show of my refund yet. At this point I wish myself good luck and keep waiting
My advise at least find a company that has a number to call or someone to talk
This company has no number and it makes you think what company has no phone for customer to call or simply they just don't want to talk to you!
Stay away from this.
I sold them a bunch of Macy's cards and sent them the pin numbers of all the cards. They sent me a check for them. Several months later, they claimed I never sent the pin numbers and charged back! I have emailed and called numerous times. The one time they emailed back, they said they would look into it. After that, zero response. It has been extremely frustrating to work with an unprofessional organization that ignores your calls/emails for an error on their side.
Caveat Emptor! Do not buy or sell your cards to this shady organization. They are horrendous.
So bad(( They offer a good discount but never sent gift cards. My orders always cancelled with their explanation "Our risk assessment team has determined that we aren't able to process your order at this time". I highly recommend to use www.Raise.com bc they send me gift cards during a MINUTE after placing the order.
Sold a gamestop giftcard to them, opted for an amazon giftcard as payment because it said code emailed within 1 business day. Well it took almost a week, during that time i emailed the support department twice, no response. Would not ever use again, heard of many people being scammed by them.
Did not deliver. Their verification system did not work (said it was unavailable). I tried again later and it told me I had already verified or had declined to verify and someone would be in touch (Yuck). A couple days later I got an email asking to call customer support - I did that and was then verified. I then tried to order two cards. Both orders were cancelled due to "Risk Assessment". I contacted support to ask what that meant - they told me me they could not disclose that to me, but i was welcome to "Try to resubmit the orders at a later date". No thanks - My credit rating is A+ and there are a lot of companies happy to accept my money. I dont need to deal with these bozos
If there's one thing that makes me mad: taking my money and not delivering product. I'm a long time customer who's just about "had it" with this site. Very slow delivery of my cards, then broken links to pull them up. WTH? I'm beginning to wonder if this company is solvent, with service like this. SMH If I don't get resolution soon, I'll dispute the credit card charge. I'm done!
They apparently preauthorize credit cards BEFORE confirming inventory. If the card you want is popular, inventory may disappear while in the middle of a transaction. I tried a couple of times before my bank called me since the bank's system detected fraud. My bank showed four transactions (plus three more which were declined once they froze the account). Bulk purchase is therefore useless.
Cardpool's response:
"The first four charges were cancelled and refunded when the orders did not go through. This usually happens if one or more cards is purchased by another customer before the order is completed. The refunded amounts will be reflected in your credit card statement within a few business days."
The discounts are appropriate for the demand, i. E. higher demand cards like Lowes & Home Depot aren't discounted as much. But don't buy an electronic card if you need it the next day or two, especially for example ordering on a Thursday and expecting it Friday. Their "one business" day must be some Mars 48-64 hour business day. You won't catch that last minute sale over the weekend with their cards if you expect to use Cardpool. You would expect an online only company can process online only transaction in 24 hours regardless of day of the week. And yes, no phone support.
I could not be happier with the service and the price when selling my gift cards. I was kept up to date on every transaction every step of the way. I am thrilled that I could turn worthless (to me) cards into cash to spend anywhere I chose. I would and already have recommended Cardpool to the bank teller who cashed my checks and to my granddaughter who has some she doesn't use. When I recommend an entity to someone I love (the granddaughter) you know it's a great company!
