I'm not sure why this site has so many bad reviews. As a person who used to own a survey site, it's probably from people not following directions, or trying to use the card after they sold it. It worked perfectly for me, I sold two cards, a Macy's card that I got from swagbucks and a Victoria Secret card that I gave to a Tinder chick and took it back from her after I found out she got some more side dudes without asking me first. Got my check in about 5 biz days.
I bought gift cards for one merchant and they were electronic but took too long to get to me through e-mail (which should be almost instant)... the item I was trying to purchase went out of stock and then back off sale back to its original price which was double the amount. $300 instead of on sale for $150 when I bought the gift cards. I've been e-mailing for a month now and NO responses, not a single one! Then I purchased a gift card last week and still have not received it. Other sites I've used I get the gift card within 15 mins... this one I'm lucky if I get it at all and definitely no refunds whatsoever... don't waste your money even if they price for a bigger discount it's not worth losing a couple of hundred dollars or more. The screenshot shows their one automated response saying they will get back to me... but when? In a few years?
Submitted an Apple Gift Card in exchange for Amazon and never received anything. Go check the Apple Gift Card balance and its 0. It was used in California...
Literally just never received my gift card. Simple as that. Contacted them multiple times. 0 response. Shut it down immediately. It's a scam. I got scammed.
Edit - Today (March 3rd, 2020), coincidentally, I received my card back in the mail. The interesting part of it is it came back in the very same envelope with the same pre-printed form. Cardpool merely wrote on the form that you stick on the front of the envelope with "RTS" (Return to sender). It appears not to have been opened and they just sent it back on the Post Office's "dime". Obviously, I immediately checked the balance and it was all there. I am surprised. Guess I got lucky compared to most of the reviewers?
Would I ever deal with Cardpool again? Not at all.

I sure with I had checked the reviews on Cardpool before I dealt with them.
Sent in a Whole Foods card with $90 on it in mid January. Two week after they received it I received an email apologizing for the processing delay because of "the holidays". Sure, whatever. I received another email about 10 days later and they said they could not process it and would not go into why they couldn't and were sending the card back. Somewhat of a brusque reply. I rolled my eyes and figured the odds of Cardpool actually sending the card back AND having the $90 that was available on the card, was slim to none. I was right... never have received the card back. The upper management at Cardpool can only go so long with stealing before it catches up to them.
I sold my first gift card to Cardpool on Friday night. I received my Amazon egift card on Saturday morning. I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised how fast I received it! Cardpool is the BEST!
At first I had a very pleasant experience with this website. I sold a gift card on there and they shipped me a check in no time so I figured I would buy one on the website-boy was this a different experience.
I purchased an electronic gift card so I could use it right away on something I wanted to buy online. After waiting almost 24 hours to receive the email with my gift card number I reached out to the support team. They informed me that I purchased a physical gift card (WRONG) and they could only ship it to my billing address (in GA when I live in TX-WRONG) even though I put down my preferred mailing address --they completely disregarded my wishes and sent it on to Georgia.
I asked if I could cancel the transaction all together from the start and they said no, and that I could simply mail the card back if I was dissatisfied due to their 100 day purchase guarantee. Well it looks like it might take that long to get it, because it has already been over 2 weeks, and I am having to reach out to the support team again! Gift card is no where in sight, and I was never given a tracking number-what horrible customer service!
I will never buy from this website again, and for the record my gift card was over $100 which they have already taken from my account, and I am on a very tight budget. This was a splurge for me and I couldn't be more disappointed in the service.
Cardpool "bought" my gift card ONE month ago and the funds are no longer on the gift card. I was supposed to get an amazon gift card via email within 24 hours it has now been ONE MONTH and nothing. I have emailed several times and they keep saying they'd look into it now they won't even respond to me!

I tried selling a $25 gift card to Cardpool for a $20.01 Amazon credit. In the end I did get my Amazon credit so I didn't get ripped off or anything however my over all experience was terrible.
I had technical issues entering the gift card I was trying to sell so I tried contacting them. I had technical issues contacting them VIA their website so I tried contacting them on Facebook. I got an automated message back on Facebook saying to emailed them. So I emailed them but it took a few days to get a reply and the "help" I received wasn't at all helpful. I ended up having to email them back and forth approximately 5 times. Each reply came from a different person. In the end I ended up figuring out the problem on my own no thanks to them. So in my final email to them I once again explained the trouble I had and how I resolved it on my own. I suggested in the future they either redesign their website (and suggested how best to redesign their website) or tell people right off the bat how to fix the issue I had (which ended up being an easy fix). However in the final reply email they sent me they were very snarky and blamed me for all the trouble they had "helping" me. Even if it was my fault it's poor customer service to blame me.
Poor customer service! I won't be using them again nor will I recommend them to anyone!
I had to spend $1300 on LL Beans, so I bought 2 e-gift cards; 1 was $7xx, and 1 was $5xx. The $5xx one ended up having an issue, so I contacted Cardpool and the representative said the card has to be "phone order" only so they can offer a refund or have me sort out on my end. The sale on LL Bean's website was about to be over, so I placed the order with the $5xx charged to my credit card in hope of getting the gift card resolved before they ship (they charge after shipping). The item went out of stock, and I waited 3 weeks and received a call saying the $5xx gift card was too suspicious and they cannot apply it. Cardpool refunded my money and I was ok.
I placed another $3xx order and bought from Cardpool to save money. It worked without an issue.
Lastly I bought a $1xx REI gift card, also no issue.
I think people giving bad reviews need to realize that Cardpool is probably not a big e-commerce merchant with sophisticated systems to deliver e-gift cards immediately. I really think they have few people checking emails and sending out codes manually. It's not Amazon.com or PayPal.com, so people really need to give it some slack. Just know that:
1) Don't expect quick turnaround on weekends, but unfortunately that's when most sales are.
2) If there is an issue, don't expect instantaneous support.
3) Don't buy a gift card and just sit on it. Use it immediately.
Overall, I'd buy from Cardpool again.
I sold these guys a 100.00$ gift card on dec 8th 2017 and received and email the next day saying my check was sent out great I anticipated the check to be in my mailbox 3-5 days as stated in email however weeks went by I reached out to them via email seeing that this business does not have a phone number to contact sketchy much. I received an email back days later stating that they for sure sent my check and that if I don't receive in 3 weeks to then contact them again which again no check so I reached out thru email once again and then never got a response back to where my check was here we are week 6 and surprise surprise no check again. So I said ok what ever I still have my gift card haha was I wrong I checked the balance on the gift card and yup to my surprise again it shows a $0.00 balance which means not only this company took my gift card but they also never sent me a check I contacted the BBB and they reached out to company as well with no response back. This company is a complete scam and hope they are held accountable for all these poor people including myself who have been scammed by this company my best advice is to never do any kind of transactions with this company you will be taking advantage of like almost all of us.
I sold a Tiffany and Co gift card (electronic so I did not have to mail the card in) on a Sunday and by Friday I had my check. Would most definetly recommend.
Cardpool is the worst company there is TOTAL SCAM AS WELL AS A PONZI SCHEME THIS SITE IS TOTALLY TRASH I HATE THIS COMPANY I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETELY FAKE AND THEY ARE TAKING BIG ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE ANY THEY ARE A BUNCH OF PONZI SCHEME LIERS
I was told I would get a check in 2 days and 3 months later nothing. Avoid them at all cost or you will lose your property.
Bought $200 worth of gift cards found out they have no money on them try to contact cardpool 3 time and got no response
Since April 25,2019, they have not sent me a check for my two gift cards. They refuse to answer emails and phone calls. Stay away from this company.
It is a scam they took my gift card and never paid me it's been months when I try to contact them I get no response
Stole $500 gift card from me. It's been "In-Review" for over a month now. NO RESPONSE from customer service NOTHING. STAY AWAY. DO NOT USE CARDPOOL EVER.
I purchase discounted gift cards from them regularly for my own shopping. Very reliable, no problems at all! I recommend Cardpool highly.
Cards were provided at a small discount & shipped quickly enough; site requires entry of a second (mailed) code for authentication.
Tip for consumers:
Electronic cards may not deliver right away - or even within the hour (as one order took as many as four hours before being delivered); as such, plan accordingly!
I send my gift card almost 2 weeks ago via air mail and still have not received a check still waiting
Received two gift cards, both with a ZERO balance! Customer service sucks, this is a scam! Stay far away from Cardpool.
They have had my gift cards under review for 10 days. They never mail you any money. Don't do it. Customer service doesn't even bother to help you.
I bought a $20 Target egift card in Feb 2017, so I decided to buy another one on Sunday May 6,2018 at about 10 pm.
I get an email from them 1 hour later that the egift card was ordered.
It is 10 am, Tuesday May 8,2018 --- 36 hours later and I have received nothing.
Fortunately my credit card has not been charged. It shows nothing pending.
I won't be buying from them again.
Update: It is 8 pm, Tuesday May 8,2018, 44 hours after I placed the order, I receive an email say that they had an "inventory error".
Yet there are still at least 100 $20 Target egift cards on their website.
WTF?
Update May 14,2018: I bought another $20 eGift card last Tuesday. This time, the order went throught and I received an eGift card number with PIN.
But what I received wasn't an actual eGift card with a barcode which I have bought before directly from Target.com
With this Cardpool order, I had to log into my Target.com account and enter the eGift card number and the PIN. (The Target app would not let me do that.) After I did that the $20 showed up in my account..
They are happy to take my money but when I have an issue, they do not email back. It says they will respond in 1 day - well, 4 business days later and no response. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
