Rude and unprofesional
October 15, 2019

Called in to finalize approval for dental care loan. Representative was rude and disruptive. How she has a job is beyond me. Supervisor offered the customary meaningless apology. These people don't care. Spend your money elsewhere. And for what its worth I never leave online reviews but it was seriously that bad!

Don't bother calling. They'll either hang up on your or won't answer the phone at all. Been trying to call all morning regarding them taking late fees from me every month when my payments are made on time!

Unprofessional!

I've had CareCredit for many years and it has been great until Recently. My account was closed based on a "review"...which ultimately means, a portion of deferred interest was not paid in full by their due date, so now I'm looked upon as not likely to pay account at all. That is RIDICULOUS! Payments on my end have always been paid on time, and I have always exceeded the minimum due per month. There was no communication prior to closing the account, and I believe that is absolutely unprofessional of them. AND of course, "there's nothing they can do now". This all definitely left a very sour taste in my mouth... I will never recommend this card to anyone I know. It's not worth the headache.

Applied for care credit for cataract/LASIK surgery denied due to incomplete prior application. Received letter from Synchrony Bank that "prior application submitted too recently". Reapplied 4 weeks later with the same result. Call center not helpful, would not provide a contact to resolve my issue. Very disappointed!

Worse scam ever
October 30, 2019

Unprofessional, crooks. These people will rip you off anyway possible. It's not worth it, just put your medical charges on a credit card with no interest terms. I paid my balance off with CareCredit and closed my account immediately.

Rip off

My daughter took a care credit out for my dog who needed emergency surgery or would have died. I have been paying the monthly payment only to find out her bill has gone up not down. They charge 45.00 mth interest if the bill is not paid off in full. Should have read the reviews first but it was an emergency and didn't think about it. I would never recommend care credit to anyone! Plz read reviews on it, it should be illegal what they are doing to consumers! Her limit was 2000 something and it's now 3100, after paying monthly payments. There are many many reviews I found on it that has done the same thing to other consumers!

Atrocious

Care credit representatives should probably be taught some manners! I have never dealt with such rude customer service in my life especially representatives named Tracey and Jan! Maybe they answer the same questions on a daily basis but there is no need to have an attitude or raise their voice to get their point across. I'm not sure how care credit will continue to have customers if their customer service reps drive people away!

Care credit is the exact opposite of what they are. They do not care! Evil and horrible company! They will add all interest back with no warning just as you almost pay it off. Corporate greed! Please don't use them!

Wow! Not sure how they are in existence. But from all the one star reviews, it shows they are out to get the card holders AND the merchants who allow their card use. Attitude with all Caps. Service - what's that. The run around - experts at it. Crooks - basically wanted to hold my funds already paid by their client which is owed to the merchant even after validating merchant account. Client/Merchant Appreciation - None. Never again. Clients and Merchants BEWARE of Care Credit, dba synchrony bank.

Here's how these companies (and other similar companies) operate: They rope you in, usually while you are under duress e.g. to save a loved one, with an unusually high interest rate if you miss ONE payment. So, for a few months, they send out monthly reminders that your payment is due. Here's the kicker, they then 'miss' sending a reminder. I know this because I have saved every communication from them and it was obvious where they skipped a reminder (I still have the audit trail). Same thing happened to my wife.

CareCredit simply SUCKS, run away as fast as you can!

Scam card!

If you can't lay your loan by end of promotion they charge interest rate that is totally ridiculous! I borrowed a total of $2000 made monthly payments and then was charged an additional $700 interest! Beware of CareCredit!

Read the fine print before signing up. I opened an account with them and did not realize it was a promotional plan until they hit me with a $500 interest charge. They will definitely take advantage of you.

Was not told about Promo period. Left with high balance that I could have paid off if I realized the interest rate was deferred to higher rate. Only good if you pay off in Promo period. Had been making payments for 8 months on a 12 month. When I figured out about the "Promo" period... pleaded with 3 representatives to apply all 8 payments to account. They each time considered it, then shot me down. Phones manned by overseas reps that are frustrating to say nicely! No matter how good you handle account, you never have a chance to reduce interest rate. When I make payments and choose to take survey, always hangs up before being switched. Ruthless plan. Sure, if it was explained in detail, maybe it works. But to say your helping and catch a few that don't understand, take advantage? Kinda like "pay day" loans.

Financial Suicide

Synchrony bank has some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They will charge you interested at the very end of your billing, it's not 0%. If you miss a payment you will be paying 27% for just the one month on top of late fees. Consider yourself lucky to be reading this. I am 20 years old and took advice from my father who signed me up for the card. I was so buried in debt and ended up paying way more for my dental bills because of this horrible business. It's a scam, stay away!

This card is a complete scam with outrageous fees, interest rates, and seemingly continuous changes on your bill amount. Customer service is no help. My credit dropped over 60 points since getting this card. Ive never seen anything like it. They are sharks and will do everything they can to get as much money from you as possible and ruin your credit. If you have ANY other option, take it.

They started by reporting 2 open accounts to credit agencies instead of 1. Did not want to confirm their mistake, opened "internal investigation", closed my credit card, opened again with different number, "transferred" my auto pay settings and drew entire balance instead of monthly payment. And yes, phone system is stupid as hell.
Lesson learned: stay away from "free" credit

So the facility I used offered 24 month 0 interest after I signed and was charged my account now shows minimum payment of 330$. I was never under the disclosure the payments were going to be so high. Contacted care credit said nothing they can do it's the merchants option to lower or change it. I think this is a $#*! show way to con someone in with the sound of a good deal. Since then I closed my account I will wait 2 years settle for a lesser debt and be back where I was. Paid half the amount and go living life.

You will literally be paying on this card for 12 years if you follow the steps they prompt you to do. Your balance will increase monthly instead of decrease && when you call to try to fix matters they'll only make them worse && say "I'm sorry. It's policy. Wish there was more I could do."

I have been with Carecredit for 6 years! I never missed a payment and I always paid above the minimum payment, but guess what. I was dropped due to "inactivity" since I only use it 3 times a year and pay it off. Now they basically tell me, I understand you have all 3 appointments NEXT WEEK, but you're S. O. L. Guess I am not getting my wisdom tooth out now. Any time I try to reapply like they tell me it says "you already have an account please log in to manage" Good to know they care so much about long term and loyal customers.

I've had Care Credit now since 2014 and have never had a problem with my account that was not immediately and respectfully resolved. Customer service has always been responsive and polite. I pay my bill every month before it's due and everything goes smoothly. I read the credit agreement they offered and am fully aware of how they operate. No surprises as some reviewers state they've experienced. Read and know your obligations for this card.

I feel bad others have trouble with this company but wanted people to know there are some positive experiences with Care Credit. You keep your end of the agreement and they will keep theirs. I would recommend this company.
