After many years (7) of being with your company and very little repair claims; now that a major repair is needed you'll have dropped the ball with a lot of red tape and inquisitions. I've paid my premiums like clockwork every month. I'm not at all happy with your service or professionalism towards fixing my car, you'll looking for the cheap route to solve my issues. Cheapness seems to be your best interest and not satisfying a seven (7) year customer!

I use my truck daily, and as of this writing it has been tied up at the shop, in the authorizing procedure, for over two weeks. I was only authorized a rental vehicle for 7 days, leaving me with no truck. I think this firm 7 day rental policy needs to be addressed, for potentially larger, longer repairs. My payments are made on time, I feel I should not have to suffer this inconvenience, based on Car Shield's procedures.

I was quoted policy, nothing more.

Engine blew up and they only covered $1200 out of the $6000. My shop provided all the necessary details from cause of failure to freeze frame data. They refused to pay the entire claim. Even though all parts were covered under the contract. If you google this company you'll understand why there's a 10 million dollar lawsuit for deceptive ads. No shop or dealership wants to deal with CarShield either. They are difficult to work with and do not pay out. Save yourself and go with another company.

I signed up 2 years ago. Process was easy. Customer service is good. However for the last 3 months, the mobile App has been down. When I log in to make a payment, it says I don't have an active policy. WhenbI call CS, they assure me that I do and the payment can be made by phone. Besides that I can't see anything as not my policy. I had 3 major repairs come up and they didn't cover these repairs $$$$. Im not sure it's worth paying for a warranty, if it doesn't cover...major repairs.

The emergency roadside service part is good. But when the repair facility called in the claim you kept saying no claim was called in. Wasted time for me and repair facility to make a lot of redundant class. The misunderstanding also delayed my repair significantly, causing more loss. I spent a few thousands buying the extended warranty and this warranty barely covers anything. Wasted money and time.

My mechanic was required to not only submit estimates with full breakdowns but videos of the problem. Then videos of the car, vin, dipstick and all back and forth along with maintenance records.I got the car back over 6 weeks later and the shop still hadnt been paid. Second response. Had car in shop for routine service when technicians discovered that the serpentine belt needed replacement. Called customer service after the fact for I did not have time to run around to find another service center but was told that I did not follow the procedure which I accept at my fault. Unwilling to assist me so I ate the out of pocket cost for replacement. Seeing I pay for my contract, I would think that Car Shield would be understanding and assist me with the replacement.

Not willing to assist and was not willing to be a problem solver even though I would be saving them money by not utilizing a dealership or a facility of their choice. My time is precious and I could have had the problem resolved on the spot but again my fault for not getting authorization for repair.

I had to use my warranty one time and overall the experience was good. They did want to use aftermarket parts for the repair which I understand but I chose to pay extra to get OEM parts installed. It did give me a peace of mind on my Ram which turned out to be a less reliable vehicle than I desired. I ultimately ended up selling it otherwise I would have kept Car Shield.

The reason for this according to car shield was that the service center hourly labor charge was more than they would pay. I guess in the future i will need to call car shield to let them tell me what repair shop to go to that will accept their amount of pay per hour.

The other provide, I cannot recall the name, said that my plan with Car Shield was canceled. They also said that CS had a $10 million lawsuit settled this summer and many more law suits pending. They also said CS is a third party company.

I did not give them any information of mine and I declined their auto warranty plan.

I have been with Car Shield for over a year. It's a great company when you make your payments and don't need their services. I put in a claim with one of the two recommended car repair facilities that were on their website. Car Shield has you pay for the breakdown and investigation of any repair that you need. My portion of that was $1,200, not the $100 deductible that is quoted in their ads. Car Shield also expects the car repair facility to use less than the factory approved parts to repair your vehicle. If you want the factory approved parts, you are expected to pay the difference out of your pocket. You can switch car repair facility, but you are still on the hook for the breakdown. Last night when I went to bed I was told I had to pay $1,200 dollars to get my car back. Today when I received an update the price has grown to $2,200 and it may not be over. My recommendation is that you avoid Car Shield like the plague. As soon as this episode is over I will be a former customer.

Had to have my transmission replaced. CarShield worked directly with the shop and within 2 hours of receiving the paperwork needed from the shop, I got a call saying my claim was approved. All I had to pay was my $200 deductible. Not to mention they called and set up a car rental for me also. If you are undecided on the cost, I promise it's worth it.

We are going to court. Don't waste your money on this company.
