I have 2 vehicles covered under car shield including my 19 year old Land Cruiser. It comes with specific & straight forward guidance if we ever break down. Very happy to know I'm covered in the future!
After many years (7) of being with your company and very little repair claims; now that a major repair is needed you'll have dropped the ball with a lot of red tape and inquisitions. I've paid my premiums like clockwork every month. I'm not at all happy with your service or professionalism towards fixing my car, you'll looking for the cheap route to solve my issues. Cheapness seems to be your best interest and not satisfying a seven (7) year customer!
I brought my car in because the check engine light came on, they diagnosed it and told me they would call car shield to see if it is covered. (it was engine related so they did not think it would be a problem).
The dealership had my car from **************. The back and forth, we need pictures, the dealer would send them and now we need pictures of something else, the dealer would send them I did not have a rental car for most of that time. I was not aware that it takes this long to figure out if you will pay for something, I was not happy with that situation at all.
I chose car shield because my car was older, and I needed a warranty of some kind to help with the cost of repairs if need be. I was happy that it was covered but the length of time it took to get to where you are saying it is covered took entirely too long.

Once I place the order for service my vehicle was in very good hands. Car Shield provided the shop with the necessary authorization to fix the Alternator and by the same time the next day my car was ready to pick up. I am very grateful to Car Shield and my mechanic Greg for such great service!

I have the powertrain Gold. It cover my fuel system, my fuel tank sensor went bad, and was told they would have to remove the gas tank to replace it. That was called into CarShield was told it doesn't fall under my warranty, I am not happy. Thinking about dropping this. Why do I have powertrain Gold when they don't cover my fuel system.

My repairs weren't covered by Car Shield. I don't know if I'm satisfied with the outcome or dissatisfied at this point. If my next repair which according to Car Shield is supposed to be covered isn't covered then I may have to re-evaluate going with them.
My original warranty was over and I wanted to keep my current vehicle since it was in excellent condition. I needed further warranty coverage and it seemed like a good fit.

I found out that even though Car Shield claims to pay parts they don't. A major pulley in a gear shaft isn't covered and when asked regarding this you say it isn't listed in the contract. I pay a lot of money to avoid major financial burdens on my car but this extra cost is very frustrating. I can't even be sent information on what is not being paid by Car Shield. I have to contact them and communication is extremely poor
Customer service can’t answer many questions on what is repaired or not and other than not in contact are very NOT helpful
I believed what that advertised that they pay for major parts for car repairs so I could avoid financial burdens in any repair but it isn’t true

I canceled this contract when I sold this vehicle and it was full paid. Almost a month later I am still waiting on my refund. Everyone is very nice when I call I they keep telling me the refund is coming.

My car kept stopping on me Friday before Easter ( Good Friday). I was able to get off freeway safely. I contacted the dealership a d was told which toe company to call. The dealership contacted CarsShild. CarShield was great in taking care of my car.
There was no need to contact customer service. My car was fixed and I was back on the road on Tuesday after Easter.
I needed a warranty on my car that was7 yrs. Old and I heard great things about CarShield.

Engine check light came on
Had the code read at Autozone. Checked under the hood and found a disconnect ed part of the Eval system
The plastic stem off end of
What I think was called the eval canister. Put a rubber sleeve over end of hose and broken stem of canister
Reset everything and engine check light goes off for a month or more. Light comes back on? Checked the clamp and it had vibrated loose. Tightened it, reset, light goes off for another 4 plus weeks
When light back on called Car Shield wanted it fixed. Lady I spoke with reviewed my contract. Saw I'd purchased the extra Eval Package. Gave her the Autozone coverage and she said I was covered. Called and took vehicle to 4 dealer or repair shops. When I said I had Car Shield they all laughed and said CS was the worst. Don't want to pay and if they do pay pull tricks to delay payment and U have to waste time calling and following up. Finally found repair shop to check it. They did a half $#*! check, they said it was leaky hose and said they would called CS. I asked if the Tech saw my clamp and tape on the broken canister stem. No report on that. I asked to talk to the Tech and told he was busy. Said he would call me
Never heard back. Some A-Hole from CS called the next day or so and denied claim. Said my package didn't cover hoses. The eval system doesn't have standard rubber hoses. They are a main part of the Eval system. All these dealers and repair shops. Car Shield in my opinion is the worst.
Terrible. Got cut off the call 3 times. On 4th or 5th try finally spoke to a great woman who reviewed contract and confirmed I was covered.
Said adds on TV. Thought it would be a honest a d trustworthy company. Paid little over $1400 to 100,000 miles after Mfg warranty expired. Never filed a claim
The joke is on me for listening to sale guy to buy the extra eval pkg. Everyone I see will hear my story

My claim got rejected because my car had a branded title, and I hadn't paid the excess fee to Carshield for that. When I bought the vehicle, I specifically inquired about its title, assuming that a clear title meant the car was clean. It was a shock to learn from an American Auto Shield representative that a clear title doesn't guarantee a clean history, and that my car had been in an accident. I questioned why Carshield hadn't checked this before making the contract with me. Their representative admitted they only recently started checking CARFAX reports before agreeing to contracts, implying they wouldn't have checked if not for my situation. The representative tried to deny that my situation prompted this change, but I could sense otherwise. I'm glad my case prompted them to start checking CARFAX reports, but it's unfair that my claim was denied due to something they could have prevented by obtaining the right information before signing the contract.

I spoke to your Rep who was very patient, helpful and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and I was very satisfied.
After getting a quote and service ticket for my car to be serviced, I didn’t have the deductible, I was told Car Shield can hold that ticket until I need it.

I have paid over 2400 dollars to this company thinking I was safe. A LIE! They tell you that you can take your car to the place of your choice but what they don't say is the place of your choice don't accept their coverage. No real reputable company want to be bother with them because of the hassle they put them through about part's and inspection of the work the company may have performed or need to perfom. I understand why they don't want to bother. I'm a client and the way Becky, Darnell(?) Of the customer service treated me was terrible. While on the phone with Darnell it was so much noise that my ears was hurting. I even recorded the noise. Never once was an apology made or that I'll call you back because of the noise. Kinda glad he didn't because I probably wouldn't have got a call back. I have never ever encounter a business as such. I'm not a complainer but the false advertising from this company is unacceptable. They wanted me to take my 2017 Caddy to Midas. I had a very bad experience with Midas and hope I won't ever have to use them to repair any vehicle of mine. I am so so so so disappointed. It's like they just took my money to pay for someone else's repair. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. DON'T LET THEIR ADVERTISEMENT BITE YOUR POCKETS.

Car Shield had come through for me. My BMW car needed Transmission repair, I didn't think Car Shield would cover the cost of the repair because it was a lot of money. I have used a similar service in the past but it turned out to disappoint me. Car Shield delivered exactly what they said they would do. I am so I'm so thankful I purchased their service. I have recommended their service to my friends and coworker.

After my truck went in the shop over three months ago, they work order was submitted to replace my turbo charger, which is covered under my policy. After it was approved, auto shield said that they would supply the turbo charger because they could get it cheaper. After it was delivered, it was determined that it was the wrong turbo charger, which is why it was probably cheaper. After it was returned and supposedly the right turbo charger was sent only half of the turbo charger was sent not as a complete part. This part was also returned, and after auto shield, realized that The estimate for the turbo charger that the mechanic requested they then sent out an adjuster after the fact. Numerous questions were asked about whether or not my vehicle was being used commercially or personally I had to supply statement over the phone. The question asked why I had a fifth wheel hitch in my truck and a fuel tank. I own a pick up truck to haul my fifth wheel camper and I have a 40 gallon fuel tank in my truck for fuel while in remote areas to fuel my generator and my truck. It was apparent to me that CarShield/AUTO auto shield was trying to get out, paying for the turbo charger and by doing this, it has taken over three months for the right parts to be supplied to the mechanic which when he received the correct turbo charger, the wrong actuator was sent and therefore he is still waiting on the correct part to finish the job. Like the title says, this has been a total freaking nightmare. Not to mention auto shield refused to pay any kind of storage fees or extra fees insured by the mechanic having to make numerous phone calls and spending hours on the phone trying to get the correct parts Again, TOTAL nightmare!
Each time I called everybody, I talked to only took notes and said that they would pass it on to the adjuster and that I would receive a phone call back within 24 hours which I never did any of the times that I called
Because when I signed up, it seemed like a pretty good deal to have that kind of coverage on my vehicle. Period
