I have 2 vehicles covered under car shield including my 19 year old Land Cruiser. It comes with specific & straight forward guidance if we ever break down. Very happy to know I'm covered in the future!
After many years (7) of being with your company and very little repair claims; now that a major repair is needed you'll have dropped the ball with a lot of red tape and inquisitions. I've paid my premiums like clockwork every month. I'm not at all happy with your service or professionalism towards fixing my car, you'll looking for the cheap route to solve my issues. Cheapness seems to be your best interest and not satisfying a seven (7) year customer!
After my truck went in the shop over three months ago, they work order was submitted to replace my turbo charger, which is covered under my policy. After it was approved, auto shield said that they would supply the turbo charger because they could get it cheaper. After it was delivered, it was determined that it was the wrong turbo charger, which is why it was probably cheaper. After it was returned and supposedly the right turbo charger was sent only half of the turbo charger was sent not as a complete part. This part was also returned, and after auto shield, realized that The estimate for the turbo charger that the mechanic requested they then sent out an adjuster after the fact. Numerous questions were asked about whether or not my vehicle was being used commercially or personally I had to supply statement over the phone. The question asked why I had a fifth wheel hitch in my truck and a fuel tank. I own a pick up truck to haul my fifth wheel camper and I have a 40 gallon fuel tank in my truck for fuel while in remote areas to fuel my generator and my truck. It was apparent to me that CarShield/AUTO auto shield was trying to get out, paying for the turbo charger and by doing this, it has taken over three months for the right parts to be supplied to the mechanic which when he received the correct turbo charger, the wrong actuator was sent and therefore he is still waiting on the correct part to finish the job. Like the title says, this has been a total freaking nightmare. Not to mention auto shield refused to pay any kind of storage fees or extra fees insured by the mechanic having to make numerous phone calls and spending hours on the phone trying to get the correct parts Again, TOTAL nightmare!
Each time I called everybody, I talked to only took notes and said that they would pass it on to the adjuster and that I would receive a phone call back within 24 hours which I never did any of the times that I called
Because when I signed up, it seemed like a pretty good deal to have that kind of coverage on my vehicle. Period

My experience with CarShield been a living hell, CarShield needs to evaluate there coverage it needs to cover more items on our vehicles much as we pay on a monthly basis. My vehicle wouldn't start and I had to pay $1024 and CarShield didn't cover anything it's a ripoff.
Because I had to come out of my pocket for the repairs CarShield needs to change their coverage meaning they need to cover more items on these vehicles.

I've had this coverage since 12/2020 and have never used it till now, still had to fork out 350$ more even with deductible. They didn't pay all the diagnostic and only allowed 5.3 hrs for repairs but it took the shop 7hrs plus to make repairs on what was broken they wouldn't cover the gaskets that had to be taken off. SMH that I put nearly 4,000$ into this coverage and got screwed. Not happy at all.

I was all set to pay deductible and had to pay way more money than I could afford that's why I got this insurance. Feeling very let down

What a crock of s*@t!
What a crock of s*@t! First they lost MY paperwork. Then they lost the garages after they verified the issue was, in fact, INTERNAL. 5 months later, second garage, second opinion, same conclussion but when the "adjuster" came out he said they wouldn't cover it because there was too much surface rust under the hood. Of course there was! It was left for 7 months undriven! Plus, it was surface rust. Could have been easily cleaned.
Every lawyer turned down my case. So, I hope your corporate offices all burn down! I'm STILL without my Jeep. I lost my job (as an on the road electrician) and lost my apt.

Seriously, avoid this place! I noticed all the positive reviews were relative to very minor repairs. Anything over $500 and you're on your own regardless of your policy.
They lost the paperwork twice! UNPROFESSIONAL! They adjust knew NOTHING about cars but acted as judge and denied my claim after 7 months of it sitting! I lost EVERYTHING!!!

Although I never had to make a claim on my automobile, I was greatly for the peace of mind that Car Shield provided. Representative was courteous and professional explaining the different tier options available.
I did some research on extended warranty plans for my 2019 Ford Edge and found Car Shield to be less expense up front and provide extensive coverage on car repairs.

Following completion of agreement, I found that a military discount was available. Notified them the next day and they immediately granted the discount no question asked. Had to cancel due to purchase of new car. Already received partial refund. Am appreciative of their concern.
Basically, I was impressed by their tv ads. Also their connection to Colorado, specifically Lakewood! Treated really professionally, something so rare these days!

At first I was happy to have it but when the dropped my premium almost 70 bucks and my deductible 150 bucks made me wonder. Then my buddies mom timing chain went and no where around here would take her car to fix it cause carsheild don't pay the bills.
I told the lady to stop trying to have me keep carsheild and had to tell her three time to stop trying to and just cancel my warranty and refund my money.

I bought a used Range Rover and knew that any major repair was going to cost a lot (like $20k for a new engine). I was lucky for 3 years and then the rack and pinion went. The part alone was around $5400! Car shield covered everything.
Got a real person on the phone who answered all my questions. Nicely!!

Car Shield goes to great lengths to deny your claim. CarShield took over a month to review the claim on my truck and then denied coverage because a part that was not covered caused parts that were covered to fail. Now I'm out $******* for a new engine and not a dime from CarShield. They claim to cover your engine and transmission. This is lie. They don't make money by paying out claims. NEVER BUY INSURANCE FROM Car Shield!

It gives me some peace of mind to know that major repairs are covered with Car Shield. However, when I called to check to see if 2 repairs would be covered only one was; the CV shaft. The tie rods are not covered. Car repairs are expensive and I was disappointed to find out that this was not covered. I do feel that a warranty like this is a good thing to have with an older car. Thank you.

No one that I have an extra warranty on my vehicle is nice and I don't have to worry about breakdowns. I am going to tell my daughters about Car Shield because it is great knowing that if you break down, it doesn't cost you hundreds or thousands of dollars for your vehicle.
When we first got on Car Shield, we needed to explain how many miles we had to use and how long we had to have the coverage for before we could use it which we don’t need to use it right now because our car is in really good shape. It only has 50,000 51,000 miles on it and it’s a 2017 Toyota Corolla. It’s a very good car.

I do not know where to start except with a small oil drip. Had taken my car to the Chevrolet dealership i purchased from in 2016. After My car sat for 1 week and they had not even looked at it, and no communication from them either and to top that off, no longer accepted Car Shield. To make a long story short, I picked my car up and took it to a nearby auto repair shop, Performance Auto Care (Fort Worth,TX). To my surprise they accepted Car Shield!
My leak was a major head gasket leak. Everything was covered in my Car Shield "Diamond plan".
My expense was my $100.00 deductible on as $2,100.00 auto repair! Car Shield gave authorization to start the engine service as soon as the mechanic at Performance Auto Care contacted them.

The reason I chose Car Shield was my 5 year extended warranty on my 2016 Chevrolet Malibu was about to expire and i thought I had better get some coverage for the just in case. This is the second time I have used my Car Shield and both repairs had been over $1,000.00. I would recommend Car Shield to anyone who has their car extended car warranty about to expire. Surely would nice if wear and tear and breakdowns could be clearer. Old Betsy has been wonderful. Tires, wipers, break pads, oil, filters, bulbs, easily defined. Old Betsy is all wear and tear so where do you draw the line?
You advertise avoiding major breakdown protection, not wear and tear! Poor old Betsy didn’t seem to qualify in my understanding and $500.00 deductible seemed a bit high; so I cancelled my policy unable as I was to understand wear and tear of Old Betsy. She still runs great 1000 miles later and who really knows what is wear and tear?
