I have 2 vehicles covered under car shield including my 19 year old Land Cruiser. It comes with specific & straight forward guidance if we ever break down. Very happy to know I'm covered in the future!
Engine blew up and they only covered $1200 out of the $6000. My shop provided all the necessary details from cause of failure to freeze frame data. They refused to pay the entire claim. Even though all parts were covered under the contract. If you google this company you'll understand why there's a 10 million dollar lawsuit for deceptive ads. No shop or dealership wants to deal with CarShield either. They are difficult to work with and do not pay out. Save yourself and go with another company.
I had a flat tire Saturday and went online to get it changed but no one called back. I then called CarShield and told them the situation and after several times being placed on hold they said they would send someone to change my tire. After about 45 minutes a tow truck pulled to tow my car away. All I needed was a tire change. I had to get help from somewhere else. I am wondering why I pay them for service and get nothing.

I have had car shield for almost four years and never used it. So now that o have to use it it has just been a run around. They have had my car over a week and have done nothing but give me the run around. I get a call from them on 10/10 saying that authorized the auto body shop to fix the car. I paid for the rental out of pocket the first four days. They gave seven days but never had the work done at the time they had my car that whole week now I will be out of more money plus the cost for the stuff they won't pay for.
I called everyday just to get the same info and cost me more money.

These people are a scam as far as I'm concerned. I was under the impression that things like a malfunctioning window motor and A/C were covered but I was later told by a different agent that nothing electrical was covered. Only the engine and the underside of the vehicle. Yet when there was problem with a leaky seal they said that the problem was a preexisting condition.
Oh the customer service was great. They're very good at blowing smoke up your $#*! to keep your hopes up so you'll keep paying that monthly fee.
It was a mistake to choose them and I don't and won't recommend them to anyone!

It was easy for me, as auto mechanic shop filed the claim. First thing that was covered. Was happy that it was made easy. Just wish there was coverage for other problems I had IE leaking strut, and also oil changes.

Paid mi they. Had a problem. They nicked and died the auto shop and covered repairs were denied for a dispute over 30 mins of labour cross over with repairs. I paid for repairs that didn't even come close to what I paid in coverage. Scam scam

We do go over what is covered with you on the initial phone call and also send you the policy right away to review. My car's air compressor decided it was time to die after 12 years of faithful service on a Thursday afternoon. I drove straight to the same shop I have been using for years, dropped the car off along with the Car Shield Contract paperwork and I was back on the road the next Monday afternoon. Everything went well and I could not be more pleased with the service.

My car needed an alternator. The business called and they immediately told them to send in details and it was approved. Then o was approved to get a rental while my car was being fixed. You all are the best.
It was spectacular. My parts was late so they were tracked down and then I needed more rental time and it was given.
I saw the advertisement and took the risk. I trusted what Ice T and Vivica Fox was saying.

Have had to deal with the TPSM light on my car even though the tires didn't need air. I took the car to Mr. Tire and they found a malfunctioning sensor. It was covered by the program so it cost me half as much as I would have paid. Not bad for my first experience. Mr. Tire made it very easy and Car Shield made it possible

During the past summer my F150 Pickup developed a transmission problem. I took it to a shop that accepted Car Shield. I paid my $200 deductible. It was fixed within twenty four hours. It was something to do with a part in the transmission that wasn't properly picking up all the signals from the computer system. The total cost was over $900. So I easily saved better than $700 by having Car Shield. The date of the experience is approximated. I don't currently have the receipt with me. Great Job, Thanks Car Shield!
When I reported my transmission problem with my truck I was explained the proper procedures that I needed to do to make sure my truck was repaired.
I knew my Warrenty on my 2 vehicles would be running out soon. I had been told of good experiences by others that have Car Shield. It is also very reasonable and cost efficient.

There was some delay with CarShield and the service manager negotiating as to what was covered and what was not. He didn't seem happy about receiving partial payment from me with the promise of the balance from CarShield.

I called to see if Car Shield would cover the cost of the repairs my car needed. She was not sure and asked to have the dealership call with the details of the repairs. It turned out that they were not covered.
Our warranty had expired and we wanted maintenance insurance.

We always advise our customers to have the shop call in with an estimate so that claims can verify coverage. However, we don't see that a claim has been called in since 2022. Walmart missed putting in one number for the odometer reading and it went to carfax, impossible to deal with, which caused car shield to say the is an issue with the carfax report and they refuse to pay to fix my truck!
Nice people but they still won't do anything until walmart can get the issue resolved.
T.v. Commercial and a friend told me about them. I wanted to have my truck covered in case of breakdowns.

The first representative gave me the wrong information about the prices to get me to sign up at that point, and when I spoke with customer service representative the price changed and my gold went to silver. That was the only disappointment so far.

Nobody told me that I could get a rental car until the very last young lady that I spoke to. I picked up the rental and then my vehicle was ready two days later. Prior to that I had no vehicle for two weeks.
I wish I would have been told earlier that I could have had a rental car. The last young lady advised me but nobody I spoke to before advised me so I had no vehicle for 2 weeks and the rental for 1.5 days before my vehicle was ready for pickup

We got Carshield to have a piece of mind. It works. Although sometimes it may take a while to get approval and stuff. I noticed that car dealer shops are not very excited and fond, when you tell them you have a Carshield. Anyway - I still had to pay deductible, and for parts that are not covered. But it was worth the money. Without the Carshield I would have to pay way more

In my case once the service manager spoke with a Car Shield agent the process of getting approval for the repair went very smoothly. I appreciate that very much. For once with commercials what has been advertised is true. If that is the case in the future I will likely continue to be a client of Car Shield for the balance of the life of my automobile.
Of course one has many choices to choose from a number of automobile extended coverage companies. I assume I chose Car Shield because the company seemed to be the most frequently advertised. I knew no one who had such a policy, so I was making a decision based on faith in the advertising.

Experience was great till I got to the dealership ended up with almost $900 bill because you guys did not cover either diagnostic test to figure out what the problem was which I don't understand that part and it kind of makes you question if I keep want to keep the warranty.

Since Douglas Chrysler Dodge Jeep does not accept Carshield, we had no experience using Carshield. Since we failed to inform Carshield before work was done, Carshield refused to pay some or all of the bill. Carshield informed us they would have found us another repair facility. We want our vehicle to be taken to a Chrysler dealer and they are the closest and best in the area.

I got an email that my card issuer declined a charge from Car Shield (monthly auto pay), Car Shield was notified "insufficient funds" while I was notified "incorrect charge, declined". I called card issuer and cancelled the card, then called Car Shield and subscribed for a year of coverage with my debit card. I don't like drama, and try to keep it out of my life. Car shield is a fair and fast coverage plan if you have a "mid life" vehicle, or one just out of factory coverage.
I hate drama and "emergency situations" and Car Shield removes both with a reasonable cost for the coverage plan.

Some repair shops refuse to do repairs using carshield, and after one started the process, it took almost a month for carshield to approve the repair, so I was without my truck for a month. (Many calls and long hold times, garages just don't have the time to deal with).
Was always told someone would check into it or someone was working on it.
Thought if I had a breakdown carshield would help get back on the road fast.

I found everyone I spoke to to be professional and helpful. I received a rental car without any issues, and the staff coordinated with the dealership on my behalf. My transmission was successfully repaired, and when I picked up my car, I only needed to pay the deductible. The only concern I have is that the transmission was refurbished rather than new.
After seeing a commercial, I spoke with a salesperson; they helped me choose the right plan for my needs, and the price was acceptable.

I called about my window motor which they said they would cover; I was also told if the dealer kept my car for more than 4 hours I could get a rental. Well, they kept my car overnight to diagnose it, and when I called about the rental I was told, oh, that's 4 hours or more of labor. Crazy and information I should have had up front. Turns out it wasn't the motor but the master switch on the drivers side and carshield conveniently does not cover that part. I'm thinking of canceling and putting that money in a high-yield savings account. I've had car shield for over 3 yrs and of the 3 times I tried to use it they only covered one instance, a windshild wiper motor.
It was the first and only company I knew of during the time, but I'm looking around now.

He did and assured me the payment was made but it was too early to a confirmation because it was a debit card and sent me a survey to fill out so I would have some sort of proof.
