My starter gave out on my 2014 F-150. Once again, CarShield made my repair experience smooth and easy. What would have cost me nearly $500 was just my $100 deductible. So far I've saved thousands on repairs through CarShield.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
Car Shield paid for the repairs just like the contract says but they did not pay for the diagnostic. I feel like they should cover that also because with no diagnostic how would the technician know what to fix

I made two claims on my buick and was refused claims both times. When I followed up with representatives I got nothing but confusion on why? I felt my repairs were basic? Your policy is full of cover ups. Your advertisements are full of misrepresentation. Lots of hidden misrepresentations. Totally disappointed and out several thousands of dollare.
I was looking for good car coverage and though your company was reliable and honest. No such luck. Put the shoe on the other foot and see how you would feel. Go back and review my phone calls with your representatives (a joke)

They tell you that they will pay for you to get your car fixed but they denied me when it broke down they said it had a pre-existing condition that isn't true I only had the car for a year. Very misleading

My car has been in the shop 4 times now for a blown engine and every time it is in the shop it is there for at least 1 month. Instead of replacing the engine with a new one the consistently put used ones in, which leads to the same problem of it blowing up. They say they cover a rental which they do but only for the amount of time it takes for the repair. So in other words when my car is in the shop for a month they will only cover a rental for at most 7 days leaving me without a vehicle for 3+ weeks at times.

I am impressed with the salesman and his enthusiasm. He reportedly saved me $54 per month. I ended up with a contract of $105 per month with a $105 deposit. The coverage is amazing at this price with no contract.

First off I could not get a rental car when I dropped of my car. The dealer said I have to go through Car Shield, when Car Shield called me they said talk to the dealer. I plaid games with them till I finally got a rental 5 days later. Car Shield said he ordered the parts I needed for my car on Tues. Said the dealer would have them on Thurs., parts did not show up until Mon. I didn't get my car back till Fri. Almost 2 weeks. It is a good thing I am retired and didn't need a car right away, there should be a way to get a rental within a day.
Called for my refund on the rental car twice The first call did not give me all the info. I needed.
The second call advised me on how to correctly apply for the refund. Still waiting for my refund.
Better price although Car Shield advertises military discounts, but did not get that discount.
Be sure you get what they advertise.

When looking at the car shield website to determine coverage, it specifically says, drive train and transmission are covered. HOWEVER, when my claim was settled, I was informed that the clutch is not covered. Since this was an automatic transmission, I think this is a coverage loophole in this instance. Having driven manual transmission automobiles for years, I can certainly see where a clutch COULD be considered an item susceptible to wear and tear. And HOWEVER, in the case of automatic transmissions, this is a piece of equipment that is controlled totally by the machinery in the automobile with little to no interaction with the driver. I feel this falls into a different category. It seems to me that the lawyers did their due diligence in trying to reduce the cost of claims. In my opinion, this is totally out of character for what I thought was a great company.
Representative was not interested in hearing my position. I was spoken to as a child, trying to understand why I could not go out and play in the rain.

Mainly dealt with the service personnel at the dealership. I was not involved directly with Car Shield except to give my #. Everything seemed to be well handled - no problems. I was not aware that I would be paying $100 deductible.

The passenger side window control does not work. I was told that if a new motor was needed, Car Shield would pay. However, I do not know if the problem is the motor or it might just be a bad electrical connection. In that case, will Care Shield pay? The vehicle is now in the shop. The expected time in shop is five days.

Car Shield goes to great lengths to deny your claim. CarShield took over a month to review the claim on my truck and then denied coverage because a part that was not covered caused parts that were covered to fail. Now I'm out $******* for a new engine and not a dime from CarShield. They claim to cover your engine and transmission. This is lie. They don't make money by paying out claims. NEVER BUY INSURANCE FROM Car Shield!

Took my truck in to have both batteries replaced. The mechanic told me that I also needed a new starter motor. I told him that I had Car Shied. He took care of everything from there. I knew the batteries were not covered, but Car Shield covered the starter motor at no cost to me.

I was duped into buying a policy and the guy told me that all the major components were covered and I didn't have to worry about anything. We are on a long trip to a new hospital for my daughters brain, tumor treatment, and the truck breaks down twice and twice I'm told by CarShield it's not covered leaving us stranded and now she's late. Getting chemo this month. I will never have anything to do with his company again.

I had car shield,when asked about the price.the gentleman said it stays the same price.eventually my bill was increased without notification. I called and spoke to another gentleman and he said it's because of your mileage,how did car shield know what my mileage was.car shield is a big rip off.I needed some work done to my car.the gentleman said we refund you after you pay for the work. I asked to cancel the policy,at first he kept talking over me several times.when I said sir I don't want this policy anymore.because carshoeld is a big scam. Shame on carshield.

It is very hard to communicate through your program. You should have a way to communicate with the adjuster in charge of the claim. I was unable to communicate with the adjuster because the person answering the phone would not allow me to. This is not good business.

I dropped the car off at the dealership to be serviced and gave them the information for Car Shield. They did all the rest! I did not have to make any calls or answer any other questions. The repairs were completed and I paid my deductible. So easy!
Car Shield had some good ratings and reviews and I knew that I wanted something in place because I was buying an older vehicle from a small mom and pop dealership. I am so glad that I did!

Overall, my experience was great except for the cheap aftermarket parts. They made my mechanic use on my motor mounts just won't cover aftermarket parts, but you were giving aftermarket parts makes no sense.

When you call they are right there ready to help with information. But getting back with the mechanic shop if they have not sent in all the information is slow or not at all. I've had to call and then relay information to the shop.

My check engine light came on so I drove the car to my local mechanic <2 miles from home. They diagnosed head gasket. Car never overheated, coolant was filled, new water pump. They refused to pay for the repairs because I drove the car to the shop. They said I should've called a tow. They are devious, They are a rip off.

My 2012 Kia Sportage engine seized on 11/7 on 11/8 was it the garage Dynamic Emissions Repair in Tucson AZ. The adjuster has been going back and forth with the mechanics, dropping oil pans, photos, and no replacement engine to date. My rental car is about to cost me up to this date $2600. I don't have much I live on a small stipend and SS. I am 85 a Marine corps and Navy veteran who has been diagnosed with three types of cancer one type multiple myeloma has no cure. Overall I was pleased with the speed of response and authorization. I was disappointed that CarShield would not acknowledge the All Data standard, which almost all repair shops use, to determine time to repair. This resulted in a 2.5 hour labor charge I had to pay in addition to my deductible.
