A couple of months after I signed up, I almost cancelled. Car shield reps worked with me to find the right coverage that better suited my needs that fit with my budget. I questioned my decision from time to time, all the way up until my transmission AND differential both gave out simultaneously. Over $8,000.00 that they covered. I had to pay almost $450.00 for the stuff that wasn't covered like fluids. Saved my A**! As long as you read your contract and know what to expect, Car Shield is a very good service.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
Initially my jeep went in for the timing chain to be changed. I did receive a call from carshield letting me know what the cost was and what I had to pay out of pocket. That was the only time I heard from them. I had to constantly call them and my mechanic to find out what was going on with my jeep. My mechanic let me know that I needed an engine and how much it would be. I called carshield to see if they were aware of this and they told me they were aware gave me pricing but never asked if I was okay with the out of pocket cost. The mechanic already ordered parts and took the old engine out before I approved anything. When it was time for me to pick up my vehicle I called carshield and my mechanic to make sure we were all on one accord with the price. Carshield gave me the total but didn't include the taxes I had to pay which caused confusion between the mechanic and I. Communication was horrible. I had to constantly call in to find out what was going on with my vehicle.
I was not receiving the correct information about my vehicle.
My sister is a member and recommended that I get a policy.

Had a trans issue, few weeks later, I had to return again, for a trans issue. Had to pay the deductible again?!? Still having a shift in 1st gear issue. Will need to return but not wanting to pay the deductible AGAIN

First time I try to use this so called insurance auto shop sez they denied any payment for a diagnostic service said it was on me fee is 132.00 an hour and would take 4hrs to check it out right off it would cost me 528.00 dollars to see what's wrong. I am canceling my dealings with Carsheild and will not recommend to others

Went to dealership to get car fixed they would not take car shield because they will not pay the dealership. I went to another place that car shield recommened to go but they would not do the work on my car. Went to a second place and wouldn't do the job. I got the list from car shield but no one wants to do the job.
Sent me bad information on where I could get my car fixed. I'm going to try one more time. If not I'm taking my business else where.
I fell for the false advertisement that they pay to get your car fixed. Why don't they pay the dealership I want to go to? My car still is not fixed yet.

Brought my Mazda3 to Paretti Mazda for some problems & after doing their diagnostic tests, they told me that they NO longer deal with Car Shield anymore. I did not know that & had to pay a good bit for their labor or work.
Hoping that Car Shield can pay some of their ( Mazda) works. Have been paying Car Shield $ 99 monthly for years now but I could not even use it when I had some claims to file. Brought my car to another car shop & after the work done, they called Car Shield & Car Shield denied again saying that that kind of work is not in my contract.

This company is a joke. The dealership where I get my truck serviced called carshield with the repair estimate. They never called back and I had to call 10 days later to get anyone to do anything. Once they acknowledged that they received the call and quote they said a 3rd party would be out to verify the quote in 24 to 48 hrs. It has now been 96 hrs and no one is even scheduled to go over there. I have had to call and badger them every step of the way and all but one person has acted like I'm bothering them with all my calls and needing my car. Do not go with carshield or carchex, period.

My mother is thr one who purchased this warranty. When you read all the things they cover and just that it sound slide a good deal. But beware it's not. They make you jump through hoops and mire hoops. We had to do the calling between shop and car shield to get the process even going.
We got approved for 2 hrs worth of work. Because they go by a national ase labor time for each part on each car. Do they don't care hoe long the mechanic days it will take they only pay UP TO what their stupid books says, to top it off after trying to figure out what the deal was why it wasn't covering all labor they have now called the mechanic and cut it from 2 hrs to.5 hour of labor.
You can't even change brakes that fast for the most part.
Mom learned her lesson. Just glad we aren't more then 90 days in. But we are out extra money for the 2 weeks we have had a rental car and hee car just sitting in the shop not yet fixed of course. Just ridiculous. How the BBB still let's them operate is beyond me.

When we signed up with Car Shield the representative made it sound as if everything is easy and paid for. Upon trying to use it for the first time we find that we cannot take our car to the Toyota dealership where we purchased the car and that most places we use such as NTW for tires stopped their contract with them also. The person at Car Shield said just start calling and find a place that will take it.?
Not very helpful.
Because we thought should we have any trouble with our vehicle it would take care of the expenses or at least part of them. We found they are very selective as to what they will actually pay for.

I've been a customer for years. Never had a claim until now. It took 3 weeks to get a person. Engine went out and CarShield told the dealership tough it wasn't covered, CR Shirld never rejected any of my payments.And it was difficult getting a real live person on the phone!

I called to speak with someone about getting a Carshield booklet for my vehicle, which I have since received. This experience went very well as I have submitted. About 3 days later I was called by a rep to discuss home warranty coverage. After I listened to the rep I clearly stated that I currently have coverage and was not interested. The rep continued to try to sell me on your product after I stated three times that I was not interested. I ended the call by hanging up.

Had my AC go out and all of their ads saying they covered this and that. It saved people 1800 dollars Bull.
I needed a cooling fan assembly to fix my AC.on my Nissan Versa. After we wasted about a hour the
Lady told the Mechanic that they did not cover the part. The total bill came to 595.00 and with the 100 dollar deductible all it was costing Car Shield was 495 dollars. Needless to say I canceled the policy. When I asked for a refund they said it was over the 30 warranty. STAY CLEAR OF THESE CROOKS

What a crock of s*@t!
What a crock of s*@t! First they lost MY paperwork. Then they lost the garages after they verified the issue was, in fact, INTERNAL. 5 months later, second garage, second opinion, same conclussion but when the "adjuster" came out he said they wouldn't cover it because there was too much surface rust under the hood. Of course there was! It was left for 7 months undriven! Plus, it was surface rust. Could have been easily cleaned.
Every lawyer turned down my case. So, I hope your corporate offices all burn down! I'm STILL without my Jeep. I lost my job (as an on the road electrician) and lost my apt.

Seriously, avoid this place! I noticed all the positive reviews were relative to very minor repairs. Anything over $500 and you're on your own regardless of your policy.
They lost the paperwork twice! UNPROFESSIONAL! They adjust knew NOTHING about cars but acted as judge and denied my claim after 7 months of it sitting! I lost EVERYTHING!!!

Well something happened with my car after diagnosis was given and after they found out I needed an engine they denied my claimed and nothing happened cause prior shop recommendations was an engine but shop owner recommendations was a head gasket however that wasn't the case so because of this they decided my claims
I chose Carshield cause it was a good idea getting things fixed for half the cost is great

I heard an unusual noise from under the hood of my car as my wife was pulling into our driveway. This car is a Hybrid and I had never heard this noise before. It only made the sound when the gas engine was running
I made an appointment at my dealership and informed Car Shield that I had. It turned out that the transmission part that was unserviceable was the culprit. Car Shield was right on it. Between the dealership and Car Shield, the decision was made to replace the transmission and by doing so, I got a 2yr unlimited mileage warranty with the repair. I would highly recommend Car Shield to anyone, they really do take care of their clients. Of I could give 6 or 7 stars I would...
I was apprehensive at 1st, but frankly it was worth every penny I spent on the policy. Do wait until it's to late, call them today, you'll be glad you did.

My engine was seized up. Never, ever leaked a drop of oil. I spilled some down the front of the engine while doing my last oil change. Carshield sent out some "mechanic" to the shop where my car was and his "review" was that all the oil had leaked out of the engine due to "oil leaks". Again, the car never leaked a drop in 5 years but they were looking for any reason to deny my claim. They want me to pay thousands for a teardown of the engine...and regardless of what they find, they will simply use the "excuse" of all the oil "leaked out" and it was my fault. Absurd and simply trying to scam the customer. The shop I brought it to is first rate and they warned me on day one that Carshield would try something like this! Beware!
Initially they took interest in my claim, but then after it was very difficult for either me or the repair shop to get ahold of them.
Sounded like a good investment at the time
