I have 2 vehicles covered under car shield including my 19 year old Land Cruiser. It comes with specific & straight forward guidance if we ever break down. Very happy to know I'm covered in the future!
After many years (7) of being with your company and very little repair claims; now that a major repair is needed you'll have dropped the ball with a lot of red tape and inquisitions. I've paid my premiums like clockwork every month. I'm not at all happy with your service or professionalism towards fixing my car, you'll looking for the cheap route to solve my issues. Cheapness seems to be your best interest and not satisfying a seven (7) year customer!
They good to have if you own a vehicle knowing that one day you will need repairs
For coverage

Car Shield worked very quickly with my mechanic. I experienced no delay in getting my work done on time and properly.
I just decided to give it a go mainly because of all the success claims I saw on TV. I have not been disappointed yet, though I have only used Car Shield service once with a problem under $400, and been a customer for 4 years.

The cost to move my vehicle approximately 3 miles to a service location was $175, $25 of which I had to pay out of my pocket. What the H*?>#!
Tow car 3 miles to a tire retailer.
Monthly cost reasonable.

I had the Gold since Sept 2022, AC went out the start of this summer. Took my Denali to GMC. They called me the next day and told me that Car Shield was going to look for a used AC, the dealer said "we don't install used parts So Car Shield hung up on them". Dealership told me So I called Car Shield and they told me the same thing. I told them that I'm not putting a used compressor on my $80K truck and they hung up on me!
TOTAL RIPOFF! I canceled 3 months ago and they still text telling me I'm 3 months behind! Pure STUPIDITY!

I recently brought my car to my mechanic, for both routine maintenance and for a diagnosis of the symptom of excessive noise which sounded to me like it was coming from the front tires. The problems were identified: I needed new wheel bearings on the right front, and new drive axles on both left and right in the front. I called Car Shield claims department to find out if the necessary work would be covered and was told the wheel bearings were not included but the drive axles were. I made an appointment to have the work done the next day. When the mechanic called Car Shield claims for authorization about the axles, he was told that there was an exclusion--the axles were not covered if the boots were not intact. I also spoke to the Car Shield representative and questioned the decision to deny the claim. They offered to email me a copy of the contract, which specifies the exclusion. It seems to me that the Car Shield advertisements imply that things go bad on a car over time, that repairing those things can be expensive, and that if you pay for Car Shield coverage, you can save a lot of money on car repairs. I am not debating WHETHER the exclusion of the axle repairs due to the CV boots not being intact is in the contract; I'm sure it is. I have a real problem with the fact that this is excluded. And I wonder how many other things that are "covered" in the contract are actually not covered because of carefully chosen exclusions. I have since spoken to several mechanics who have had experiences with customers "covered" by car warranty companies in general. It's a small survey sample, to be sure, but every one of them had negative things to say about the value of such plans, given the loopholes that allow companies to deny paying for "covered" parts of the automobile.
I was invited to read my contract, and I was offered an email with a copy of the contract attached, so I could read about the exclusion associated with my otherwise-covered car repair.
I have had appliance insurance for many years, and have found the coverage to be well worth my money. I chose Car Shield because it made sense to me to cover my car for major problems just as I have coverage for major problems with my appliances. I didn't inspect the exclusions associated with major car repairs. I chose Car Shield, specifically, because I believed Ice T in the Car Shield TV commercials. My bad.

That is unfortunate and we’re sorry we couldn't help. We can only cover the parts listed on your policy. Hopefully, we can help with your next repair.
I've been waiting 2 weeks for a decision to be made on this repair. I feel I've been given the run around
