I have 2 vehicles covered under car shield including my 19 year old Land Cruiser. It comes with specific & straight forward guidance if we ever break down. Very happy to know I'm covered in the future!
Engine blew up and they only covered $1200 out of the $6000. My shop provided all the necessary details from cause of failure to freeze frame data. They refused to pay the entire claim. Even though all parts were covered under the contract. If you google this company you'll understand why there's a 10 million dollar lawsuit for deceptive ads. No shop or dealership wants to deal with CarShield either. They are difficult to work with and do not pay out. Save yourself and go with another company.

Service was slow, took a week before anyone came out. Did not pay for everything. Sales representative very hostile and nasty.

It took almost a month for my car to be repaired, because the service department was waiting on Car Shield to send a part.
Customer service on two occasions could not tell me where the needed part for my car was. All they could say was that it has been ordered.
From looking at their tv commercials, they appeared to be a reputable company.

We are always happy to explain your coverage details and assist in any customer service needs, however. We, at CarShield, have little to no control over the decision of your claims. That is up to the administrator of the account.
I will never ever recommend car shield to anyone as it is just a big waste of your money, not only monthly, but if any repairs need to be done, you still have to put more money out of your pocket because they don't pay for disassembling/reassembling to see what the problem could be. When the dealer called about the problem, my vehicle was having the person they talked to automatically said no it's not covered before the dealer could even do anything. They say they cover car rental when they said it's not always guaranteed and that I would have to pay out-of-pocket first and they would reimburse me. There's so many things that conflict with what is stated in their policies. A very important note to anyone looking for extended warranties for their vehicle is to never get a third-party company because another issue with them is that they use aftermarket Parts. You may have to pay more a month when you go through a non-third-party company but they are upfront. ALWAYS, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR REVIEWS ON ANY OF THESE EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANIES YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT GETTING. THAT WAS MY FIRST MISTAKE.
When I went to cancel my policy because of all the issues I was having they refused to give me any money back, including a prorated portion of the last month that I had to pay in full, which I think was unfair, because there was no way I was going to use them anyways so they should have given me a prorated amount back and they didn’t

Car shield honored there word. The easiest process dealing with a warranty company ever had.called customer service it was 123 done deal
I purchased the warranty because I was awake one night couldn’t sleep, I saw the commercial about 3 to 4 times I just had a filling it was talking to me lol. I purchased the warranty and lo and behold unbeknownst to me I had an issue with my vehicle and car shield honored there word. The easiest process dealing with a warranty company ever had.

My transmission went in my car. A Mazda cx9. I called car shield it was covered under the warranty. I found a car repair shop that accepted car shield insurance. And car repair shops don't particularly like working with car shield because they don't pay auto mechanics their normal rate, and trying to work with them was so difficult. The automative shop stated They kept asking for the same paperwork over and over that was already sent. And
Complaints about the length of time on the phone going back and forth with customer service with the adjuster. To make sure my claim was being reviewed, I called car shield every day for status, requested a supervisor and still they took their time. I NEVER talked to the adjuster. I would keave a message or send emails, no response back. I rented a car and never got reimbursed because they claimed the copy of the invoice I sent wasn't legible. I emailed a copy twice. No one bothered to call and tell me it wasn't legible. I finally gave up and canceled. I rented a car for 3 weeks. Car shield calculated they will pay for 2 days of rental fees at the rate of $40.00 a day. I paid for 2 years on the policy and I couldn't even get Rental fees reimbursed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
