I have 2 vehicles covered under car shield including my 19 year old Land Cruiser. It comes with specific & straight forward guidance if we ever break down. Very happy to know I'm covered in the future!
Engine blew up and they only covered $1200 out of the $6000. My shop provided all the necessary details from cause of failure to freeze frame data. They refused to pay the entire claim. Even though all parts were covered under the contract. If you google this company you'll understand why there's a 10 million dollar lawsuit for deceptive ads. No shop or dealership wants to deal with CarShield either. They are difficult to work with and do not pay out. Save yourself and go with another company.

Had a mechanical issue with my 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 occur unexpectedly. When driving out of town, I suddenly experienced a loss of power and my engine light then came on. When it was safe to pull off the interstate I immediately shut off the engine, and contacted American Car Shield and explained to their representative what was going on with my vehicle. The representative was extremely courteous and concerned not only about the mechanical issue I was experiencing, but also about my current safety. They were very helpful in getting a towing company to tow my vehicle to a reputable automotive repair shop back in my home town, and started all the necessary paperwork to get my claim started with them. The next day I received a call from their representative letting me know what the repair shop initially found wrong with my vehicle, and informing me it was a covered repair and he would be authorizing the repair shop to start the repairs. This was an enormous relief to me. On the 2nd day the repair shop contacted me and informed me, that they had found additional mechanical damage, all related to the initial inspection of my vehicle. They informed me, that they had already contacted Car Shield's authoring inspector and he stated, it did not surprise him and authorized the additional repairs to be completed. I am still awaiting for the repair shop to finish with my vehicle, but feel relieved my vehicle will be professionally repaired and returned to me in a timely manner. So far Car Shield has exceeded my expectations. They are respectfully keeping me informed on the status of the repairs on my vehicle, and confident I will receive my vehicle back professionally repaired, and the only expense I will incur through this whole ordeal will be my deductible on my contract with American Car Shield. I would like to commend all the representatives of Car Shield I have dealt with for their professionalism, sincere concern of my safety and their courtesy.
It was recommended to me by an associate, who has a current policy with Car Shield and stated to me, he has had nothing but piece of mind knowing his vehicle would be taken care of if he ever had a mechanical issue. I wanted to have the same assurances he has, and thank God I do.

You lied! Everyone in your company told me I was covered and I did everything they told me to do and was denied the reimbursement.
Everyone was nice telling me everything was covered there was no problem with the reimbursement and then you denied it!!!!

I took the car in to get the backup camera fixed, which they did. It did take 5 days for the Ford dealer to do the job.
The longer you have a car, the more likely a part will need to be replaced.
