I have 2 vehicles covered under car shield including my 19 year old Land Cruiser. It comes with specific & straight forward guidance if we ever break down. Very happy to know I'm covered in the future!
Engine blew up and they only covered $1200 out of the $6000. My shop provided all the necessary details from cause of failure to freeze frame data. They refused to pay the entire claim. Even though all parts were covered under the contract. If you google this company you'll understand why there's a 10 million dollar lawsuit for deceptive ads. No shop or dealership wants to deal with CarShield either. They are difficult to work with and do not pay out. Save yourself and go with another company.
So, I am out about $4,000.00. Couldn't get the address where to send the paperwork to get reimbursed.

Having been a customer for years now I have been totally satisfied with all services from Car Shield. They have handled all of my claims promptly and saved me from costly mechanics fees. The deductible is the only one that I have had to pay for the claims. I have auto-pay so not to worry about billing. Glad I have Car Shield 🛡

The job took 2 days because the repair facility was sent the wrong window motor. That was not their fault, just an inconvenience for me. The motor was changed the next day a found the regulator was also faulty. That part came in and replaced and the repair was complete. I paid the deductible and a small out-of-packet fee. The window works like new and I was very satisfied the the whole experience.
The price was reasonable for the coverage afforded by the plan.

I took my car to a privately owned shop for an oil leak in March. The mechanic diagnosed the problem, filed a claim, and Car Shield approved it. The car was in the shop for three days because the mechanic had to wait for the parts.
Over $1,600 was paid to the shopkeeper and I paid my deductible.

Payed for coverage close to two years and drove my vehicle under 2000 miles, so I determined that $1500 for coverage each year was way to much. I did call awhile back to drop coverage and the person I talked to did give me a reduced rate on the remaining months, but when that expired Icalled to cancel again and the lady I talked to almost convinced me to continue but I cancelled anyway. {satisfied}

Touch screen on my Durango quit working and took the vehicle to the dealer and they called car shield and they took care of everything less my deductible. So glad I have them. It's a great investment for piece of mind

My experience with Car Shield customer service was great! I really didn't get the opportunity to reap the full benefit of the service because I had to cancel my membership after a little over a year due to financial obligations.
The commercials advertised some reassuring car service in the event of car engine or transmission problems.

It took over a week to get approval for the work to be done. They had the wrong VIN number so that messed up everything.
One CSR would tell me one thing and another one would tell me something else about why it was taking so long to process the request for repairs.

Repairs weren't covered due to garage not getting pri-authorization. When I contacted Carshield you gave me the number to administrator, I followed all instructions and was turned down. Claim was slightly hirer than 350.00.
The person I spoke to was very polite. He helped me with administrators number.
I never trusted extended warranty companies, but since I'm older and retired I thought it would be a good idea.

Ok. I had my vehicle towed to a dealership. I found out the next day that I should have had my vehicle towed to another repair shop. The dealership hurried up and repaired my water pump and I was out 1,200.

Bought used car. Purchased a Car Shield warranty. Had an issue 2 months in. CS took 4+ weeks to tell me they were NOT going to cover my engine issue because of the type of oil that was in my car. Valvoline was out of the oil when I got it changed and substituted a similar type. Car Shield did everything they could to squirm out of covering my claim. Fraud. Stay away.

I used my home appliance warranty purchased through Car Shield. The customer service was very helpful, and the day after my approved appliance repair was completed I received a bank deposit for the work completed, less the customary deductible.

Every conversation, I got an excuse as to why the claim wasn't being processed. When the claim was denied, someone called and didn't leave a message. I had to call myself and be told the claim was denied. The dispute process is a joke. Someone called and proceeded to list the reasons the claim was denied, not asking or accepting any additional documentation from me. I ended up coming out of pocket for days on the rental, because the denial effective date was backdated 2 days.
The representative told me not to believe what the contracted mechanic had to say since the adjuster needed more information to review the claim. The claim was denied on a Friday. There was no phone message or email confirming the denial. I had the rental car until Monday, not knowing until I called that the claim had been denied. No apology for my inconvenience. No explanation for the lack of common courtesy.

I have had to use my Car Shield warranty now 3 times. My latest claim is on my 2016 Silverado where the transmission went out. Car Shield approved my claim in a couple of hours with my mechanic and had me in a rental car in the same day. I have not have any problems with Car Shield taking care of my claims, and I would recommend Car Shield to anyone who needs a warranty on their vehicle. I dropped my car off on a Thursday at the car place that was fixing my car. The shop that was gonna fix my car called you the next day. You guys said you're gonna send out an adjuster within 24 to 48 hours from that point. The adjuster didn't come out to the following Friday. Then I had to wait so after the weekend to call you guys to find out the status. Then I get charged more money than my deductible to get my car fixed. I paid it because I needed my car not very happy.
At the time I didn't know any other place to go to get an extended warranty.

After I was approved for the maintenance & part for my vehicle, carshield was very slow in the payment process, they had to be called several times for the auto shop to finally receive their payment, I have found why several auto shops do not wish to deal with this company, their response was they were short staffed. So far that is my only complaint with carshield, this needs to be addressed thoroughly so customers won't feel like their being scamed

I took the car to the dealership. They diagnosed the problem and contacted you for approval. After several delays on your part, your rep came and demanded that the dealership prove the car is otherwise drivable as one of the problems is not covered by you. I therefore authorized that repair at my expense and only then will you considering honoring your contract. We will see…..

My trucks transmission failed and needed to be worked on. My mechanic was very knowledgeable in diagnosing the the problem and dealt with CarShield. The mechanic shop was in constant communication with me and the representatives from CarShield. The process of repair was no inconvenience to me and was remedied in a timely manner. The time it took for you guys to look at my vehicle and gave me a rental that expired and had no vehicle ended up losing my job because of it. Then ended up denying my claim Stating was preexisting which wasn't and still have no vehicle

We were very satisfied with the rapid response from Carshield to our repair shop. The repair was u pressed with the response. However, we were surprised when our portion of the repair was over $600.00 due to the difference in labor rate charges. Our policy covered less per hour for labor rates and we were responsible for the balance. Instead of the $100.00 deductible for an authorized, covered repair we had a bill of $645,00. The repair shop we used is a AAA authorized and recommended shop, so we were surprised there was such a large difference in the difference. Overall, we still feel our warranty with Carshield is a great investment.
We felt the coverage offered was a great deal for our peace of mind.
