I've had this coverage since 12/2020 and have never used it till now, still had to fork out 350$ more even with deductible. They didn't pay all the diagnostic and only allowed 5.3 hrs for repairs but it took the shop 7hrs plus to make repairs on what was broken they wouldn't cover the gaskets that had to be taken off. SMH that I put nearly 4,000$ into this coverage and got screwed. Not happy at all.

I was all set to pay deductible and had to pay way more money than I could afford that's why I got this insurance. Feeling very let down

Purchased a service contract based upon reputation and interaction with personnel of car shield. 2019 dodge grand caravan lost reverse on transmission and filed a claim. Ended up at Aamco and when contacted by shop, was informed I would have an almost $800 deductible instead of the $100 I had thought I had. Have an issue with this but behind 8 ball as far as getting repaired. No satisfied but not pissed off either.

Called Car Shield, and explained air conditioner in van was not working, and got us a mechanic very close, within 3.5 miles! Mechanic said he will order parts. Called a few times, left messages, but never heard back! My husband assumed the a c parts are on back order.
Never heard from mechanic, as cooler weather moved in, we will call Car Shield again in April or May,

Doesn't cover what contract states that they cover. Customer service representatives act as if they can't help you. Make assumptions about how you've handled your vehicle after a " brake down". Will refuse to fix a part that is still not functioning correctly after being "fixed ".Worst experience EVER. I would not recommend Car Shield.

It has taken a month to get answers on my broke down vehicle. The shop has already said it will need a new transmission but carshield has asked more questions than my life insurance company did. I am without a vehicle and in jeopardy of losing my job now.
The last person I spoke to, Samantha, was great other than she didn’t call me back Saturday like she said. The other individuals have talked over me and not listened to my concerns.
I chose Carshield off of the promises of repairing anything covered under contract in an efficient and timely manner and also covering roadside services. I had to pay for my own towing bill and have gotten the total run around with my suv in the shop.

Car Shield provided me with prompt response and set things up with the service repair shop.
The only part that didn't work out is my out of pocket was more than I expected to pay.
$100 deductible turned into $430.
Need to have some protection.

My experience with Carshield has been mostly positive but beware you may still have to pay for covered services above your deductible. Ads seem to infer that they pay everything after the deductible is paid but that is not true and the cost can be substantial.

I do not know where to start except with a small oil drip. Had taken my car to the Chevrolet dealership i purchased from in 2016. After My car sat for 1 week and they had not even looked at it, and no communication from them either and to top that off, no longer accepted Car Shield. To make a long story short, I picked my car up and took it to a nearby auto repair shop, Performance Auto Care (Fort Worth,TX). To my surprise they accepted Car Shield!
My leak was a major head gasket leak. Everything was covered in my Car Shield "Diamond plan".
My expense was my $100.00 deductible on as $2,100.00 auto repair! Car Shield gave authorization to start the engine service as soon as the mechanic at Performance Auto Care contacted them.

The reason I chose Car Shield was my 5 year extended warranty on my 2016 Chevrolet Malibu was about to expire and i thought I had better get some coverage for the just in case. This is the second time I have used my Car Shield and both repairs had been over $1,000.00. I would recommend Car Shield to anyone who has their car extended car warranty about to expire. You will be glad when the time come and you are covered with Car Shield. The line I have heard is not IF the car has a breakdown... it is when, Because it will happen. Go Gar Shield!

We were worried about a sudden decline in gas mileage, so scheduled with our maintenance provider and for a rental car. Turned out to be terrible quality of gasoline bought from Rutter's (not saying their other gas varieties are bad). After using it up and refilling with something else, no problem. So we cancelled service and rental.
Older high mileage car that very well MIGHT need something fixed in the future.

My engine blew up on a desolate highway. I filed a claim and was denied the claim because, "The hole in the piston was caused by excessive fuel "! Whatever that means? Plus they didn't pay for the towing. Unbelievable but now after reading negative comments about this poor excuse of a company it doesn't surprise me now.
I would give a negative star but am unable. Customer service does not exist. Horrible experience. Asked specific question about "Why was my claim denied because the piston received excess fuel?" The human robot was unable to answer the question and just kept reading from the script with an annoyed voice like I was the stupidest mfer to ever walk the face of the earth.

Having been a customer for years now I have been totally satisfied with all services from Car Shield. They have handled all of my claims promptly and saved me from costly mechanics fees. The deductible is the only one that I have had to pay for the claims. I have auto-pay so not to worry about billing. Glad I have Car Shield 🛡

Paid monthly premiums for almost 2 years.
Had a small claim to replace starter which is covered under my policy and they would not pay for the repair. So it cost me $627.00. They prey on seniors and others on fixed incomes.

CarShield is a complete nightmare. I purchased their extended warranty thinking it would provide peace of mind, but it turned out 2 b a total waste of money. First of all, They say u can use a Mechanic of UR choice."THE LIES" If ur Mechanic does not accept Carshield then THE CONTRACT IS USELESS!
When my car broke down and I tried 2 make a claim, they found every possible reason 2 deny it. They claimed that the repair wasn't covered due 2 some obscure clause buried deep n the fine print. It felt like they were actively looking 4 ways 2 avoid paying 4 anything.
To make matters worse, even when they did cover a repair, they only agreed 2 pay a fraction of the cost, leaving me 2 foot a hefty bill. Their coverage is so limited and their customer service is ABYSMAL. I ended up paying MORE out of pocket than if I hadn't bought the warranty at all.
I would strongly advise AGAINST purchasing CarShield. It's a rip-off and they do not stand behind their promises. Save your money and look for a reputable warranty provider instead.

Car Shield/American Auto Shield has had my claim since November 7,2023. I am still waiting on approval so I could get a rental to get back and forth to work. I made a reservation for a rental myself because the people who have been giving me rides to work will not be able to starting Thursday thru next week. I'm so disappointed in this company! I work at a company who employs 17.000 individuals, and word of mouth spreads like wildfire because people are asking me about my car because I am a senior citizen plus a minister of the Lord Jesus! I have laid it at God's Throne of Grace!
