My starter gave out on my 2014 F-150. Once again, CarShield made my repair experience smooth and easy. What would have cost me nearly $500 was just my $100 deductible. So far I've saved thousands on repairs through CarShield.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
Declined coverage for wind shield wipers failed. Not the motor (would have been covered. Failure appears to be some electric component
A wheel bearing also failed, which would not have been covered
One repair cost $565, the wiper issue will cost $450+\-

I didn't have funds to cover the auto pay and the payment was denied. I panicked and called Car Shield immediately they re-entered the payment and my problem was solved.
The customer service person was professional and personable and handled my situation in less than a minute.

Overall my experience in three years with CarShied was good and I did manage to save a lot of money on repairs. I guess if I had one complain is that most of the time the car was out of service because the dealership had to wait for CarShield to deliver the needed parts. On their behalf they offered a rental but being retired and having another vehicle I turned down they rental. If you have a car out of warranty I would strongly edge you to purchase a CarShield policy because in the long run you will save money on repair cost.
I compared several companies and this was a better fit financially.

My trucks transmission failed and needed to be worked on. My mechanic was very knowledgeable in diagnosing the the problem and dealt with CarShield. The mechanic shop was in constant communication with me and the representatives from CarShield. The process of repair was no inconvenience to me and was remedied in a timely manner. The company was a delight to work with and all personnel I spoke with were very professional.

Everything went smoothly once I got in touch with car shield. But actually it was the mechanic facility that was able to connect with them and then car shield contacted me. The connection part isn't really explained well, but everything went through great after the connection was made.
When I was able to connect with them it was very easy. But trying to connect was a problem because they are about 2 hours different than my time.
They came recommended by family members.

Over all it was good though I really only used the service truly once for towing,, after an over all inspection of my car and some shop testing,,, it was determined that my car had a know manufactures defect and was repaired at not cost to me. So the only thing that was payed for was the towing to the dealership.
Since then, I was forced to cancel the service as economics got the best of me and other priority's came first.
I will keep Car Shield in mind should I need a warranty service contract in the future.
I needed a maintenance contract ASAP.

I had recently changed my payment info and so my automatic payment was declined. I received a call from a lady at Car Shield explaining what happened. She was very friendly and nice and best of all understanding. We fixed my error and now everything is fine again. All agents at all companies should be so nice.
I had heard good things and I figured this would be something good for my car as it is getting older.

I've been with CarShield for three years at a rate of about $90/month so I've wasted almost $3500 with this company when I finally needed to use the warranty CarShield would only cover $350 for an aftermarket part even tho they claim they don't cover aftermarket. Then I had a fuel pump issue with my 17' kia and they wouldn't cover because according to them they cover fuel system not fuel pump. These people are a scam! I would never recommend this company!

From the time the claim started to getting my car back i had to keep calling to see what was being done contact from car shield it took over a month or close to a month to get my car back and with out a car i lost a hundred dollars a day out of pocket i know if our policy does't give a rental they should try to get our vehicle back as soon as they can

From the very start, I was given the names of three possible dealers who might take care of my problem. On stated that they no longer deal with Car Shield it was difficult receiving the money. The second who I did consult kept me going back and forth with finding a part and having time to complete my repair. I finally after several months, took my car to the dealer and they made the repair. I was also informed that they do not take Car Shield. So when I purchased another car. I called cancelled with you all and just purchased and extended warranty and GAP.
I was given the names of certain repair persons in my area. I later called and asked what was the policy to rent a car.
I was taken in by the many celebrities and commericalswho stated how great Car Shiled was

I love it when I pay for something and everything goes smoothly from beginning to end. That has happened for me with Car Shield. I paid for the plan and received a copy of it promptly. Monthly I receive a newsletter with easy reading suggestions and ideas. I feel protected with my Car Shied policy.
I wasn’t sure that monthly all would go smoothly with Car Shield. From paying monthly to suggestions, I feel taken care of with Car Shield.

There were constant computer snafus on your end, after 1.5 hours on the phone I never received the email confirming my claim or how to proceed.
Looks like another couple hours on the phone to get the claim submitted. Poor form on your part.

When I call and explain what problem I"m having with my car and if the problem I'm having is covered under my warranty they refer me to mechanic shops that takes their warranty.

As a worried consumer my car was in need of repair and I called car shield to see if was my car under warranty and they said YES. I took it in and was very pleased to know that a certified repair place was available.
It was so nice hearing from them. That my car was under warranty and to take it off in.

Great customer service good price excellent. My car was shaking and wouldn't pick up speed took to the mechanic of my choice and they told me that I need a new transmission. Carshield took care of the issue the warranty, no complaints. I am happy I recommend it to everybody I know.
Great great we called them up explain to my mechanic did and took it from there then they called me a week later to tell me they were going to take 23 weeks for me to get my transmission in and then put it in. I am so grateful for Car Sheild.

I initially believed by their frequent advertisements in many advertising venue’s that their additional Auto Coverage Repair and Replacement part policies and service coverages would be beneficial for my Personal Ownership of three (3) low milage Owned Auto’s!
But, within their initial 30 day trail period, I had a significant, Permanent Life Health Change Occurrence befall me and When I called their National Customer Service Center the initial representative I discussed this critical matter with was very kind, efficient and clearly well trained, She then informed me She needed “To Escalate My Request to Cancel my initial 30 Day Free Trail Period”! She was “Told” by a Supervisor I would promptly be called by a “Higher Level Corporate Employee who would further assist me personally in cancelling all three (3) of my full Auto Coverage Plans”! But no return contact has been initiated by Car Shield? Respectfully Sent, JB Bishop, *******626

Great company, they actually do what they say they are going to do. Took my truck into my dealership for repair. The dealership told me they were going to do a diagnostic check and report to CarShield what they find. A few minutes later I received an email from CarShield reporting a claim. Exactly 10 minutes I received another email from CarShield stating claim approved. A few minutes later a service technician came to inform me of what I already knew, that the claim was approved. Highly recommend this company!

I obtained coverage as my car's warranty had expired. While I never had to make a claim, I did call them several times and was treated like a king. I'm waiting for some refund since I had to cancel my plan due to purchase of a new car.

I was just told by my garage that Carshield is very difficult when it comes to getting covered repairs done. He said they want to use junk yard parts or just simply deny. I just joined them last month and at thier advice I am considering canceling.

Carshield has been good. They have paid for a transmission and engine in my vehicle. I have had them for three years now. With CarShield I do not need to trade vehicles. I can keep driving this one as long as I want.
Ap was not showing premium was paid. I didn’t want the policy to lapse. It was paid just didn’t show up.
They called me. I liked the fact that my policy is good no matter how many miles I drive or how long I own the car.

I've been a customer for about 4 years. That's a lot of money I've paid over the years. My Ford Transit 250 van needed a water pump, radiator and thermostat. They didn't cover the thermostat. Why wouldn't they cover the thermostat since it is part of the cooling system? Also, I had to pay an extra $12.00 a day to get a rental car instead of a roller skate.
Very vague on the coverage. Especially the rental details. The rental company wanted to charge me per calendar day and Car Shield told me it was for each 24 hours. I was on the phone dealing with this for hours until Car Shield finally called the rental company to fix it. This is the second time I used their service. Very frustrating both times.
