A couple of months after I signed up, I almost cancelled. Car shield reps worked with me to find the right coverage that better suited my needs that fit with my budget. I questioned my decision from time to time, all the way up until my transmission AND differential both gave out simultaneously. Over $8,000.00 that they covered. I had to pay almost $450.00 for the stuff that wasn't covered like fluids. Saved my A**! As long as you read your contract and know what to expect, Car Shield is a very good service.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
The store closed couldn't purchase a battery booster.I lent my jumper cables to my neighbor and forgot to put another set back in the car. I area was lucky it broke down in town and at Walmart. Live in farm country could of been alot worst if happened at my house. Thanks to customer service found someone and was on the road home in 30 minutes. Thank You

Could not ask for a better company I had a vehicle it was over 200,000 miles transmission went out no problem. Yes I had to pay a piece of it which was really $275. That was it. You can only imagine what it would've been for a 2014 Toyota Camry transmission to be replaced without Car Shield. Very thankful.
Car Shield called me to inform me that they were paying X amount of dollars to the dealer to fix my transmission on my 2014 Camry and informed me that I could take it somewhere else if I chose, it was very kind of him to have done that

When my warranty ran out on my Audi I got car shield. Thank God I did, 6 months later my engine had a mechanical breakdown where my engine needed to be replaced. Care shield came through and replaced my engine all was covered. I was so lucky I made the smart choice and went with Car Shield! They saved my car & saved the day.

I brought my Tahoe to have work done on the front end. They had to replace control arms and ball joints. The shop quoted 8 hrs but Car Shield would only pay 4 hours, eventhough the labor rate was 8 hours per the book that is a universal pricing that ALL mechanics go by. I had to pay 400.00 plus the 100.00 deductible to have this done. I think it was very unfair that I pay for a warranty with a 100.00 deductible and end up paying 500.00 more to get my car back. I called Car Shield and they say said that's the rate Car Shield set. 👎👎. Boo for Car Shield.
They acted like I was bothering them when I tried to discuss these issues. They acted like they tore the manuals apart so they didn’t have to pay.
I don’t know any more after this situation and my last one before this. My transmission lines were having a problem and they said they don’t pay for hoses. They don’t understand that transmission lines are not hoses they are aluminum and the are under pressure. Anyway, I wish I looked into another company.

I got a free lifetime driveline warranty with my new truck and didn't want to pay for a full extend warranty that covered my driveline a second time. I called every warranty company I know of and Car Shield was the ONLY one that would that give me an extended warranty that did not include the driveline. Thus reduced my cost by a lot. They were willing to give me what I needed, not what they think I needed. Thank you for your flexibility.

I subscribed to Car Shield as an extra protection plan on my vehicle. Due to circumstances, I owed 10K more than the vehicles value. Getting the policy and setting up auto pay payments was easy. Cancelling the policy also easy.
I contacted the customer service rep. to find out if my needed repair was covered. Unfortunately, it was not. The entire conversation was cordial and professional.
Saw the advertisement on TV and felt it would be good for my situation.

The auto company replacing my ignition called in for payment. The rude person on the phone that picked up the phone was sounding like he just got out of bed. He was rude and has no care that the last representative gave the okay for the car to be fixed. When I called to figure out why. The representor sent me his manager that told me no matter what you have to repair your car, because we are not covering the cost. Question? Why do this company pick and choose what they will pay for when they claim they will. Not good. You guys are taking my monthly payments every month. And I keep hitting walls when I am in need for support. Bad business. I will not tell my family to be apart of this fail company. The representatives are rules.

1. The small oil leak was a long fight. I had to come out of pocket with over $700.00.
2. Now my transmission is slipping in first and second gear. Carshield wants the repair shop to put a transmission in from the junkyard. The shop needs a remanufactured transmission to install. I checked several shops in the area if anyone will accept a junkyard transmission. They ALL said no because it could have the save problem. So what am I suppose to do now. Carshield must accept everything is higher, but if they do the right thing the remanufactured transmission has a much higher warranty. Not one or two year warranty from Carshield. So here goes big business hurting more Americans. The dealership refuses to install used.
I was told the y have a used transmission and that is it.
I thought they were a business I could trust. You use these stars for your advertising and they don't even know what is really going on.

I just had one question. I was trying to get rid of one plan--car insurance or car shield. Do I need both? I was assured that I needed both, as insurance is for accident repairs and car shield is for repairs NOT caused by accidents. She was sharp in her speaking, tone of voice and clarity of voice. Well, the commercials did it for me. I also liked the price I received. That representative was very cordial and he took his time giving me the information, even repeating/explaining information when I was not sure. He even called me back a few days later so that we could complete the discussion.

Gave our Ford dealer our warranty information (Printed first page) and in a couple of hours notified that the repair was approved, received vehicle a couple hours after the phone call. Also received a text from Car Shield saying the repair was approved. Car Shield paid all minus the deductible. This was for replacement of emissions purge valve.

I needed to take my car to a repair shop appointment the next day. However the day before my appointment I found that my car would not start. I called Car Shield to request a tow truck to take the car to the shop, and they found a tow company and sent it out all in about 5 minutes. Now that's service!

Customer service was great. Payment to the vendor in a timely manner was great. The coverage for repairs is misleading based on the commercials. In addition, to my deductible i had to pay additional funds for my repairs. The commercial lead people to assume that Car Shield pays for all repairs.

Dont go with carshied. I was kind of scammed and not explained/suggested about the vehicle titles, unfortunately I was new to US and was not aware what they mean by 'Branded Title'. I was charged for an year time for my savaged title vehicle, and they denied my claim for my engine repair mentioning it is Branded title. Why cant Carshield check before offering or charging me using my VIN? I was even denied for 1 week of rental allowance. Its almost $1000 I paid for coverage but all was just eaten away by carshied I didn't a penny out it when I struggle.
There are lot of loop holes with them, stay away from Carshield

I used a shop recommended by car shield and they robbed me. The work was NOT done and now I'm still here with a car that needs not only the repairs needed when they recommended the shop but thousands of dollars more.

Sorry you’re having trouble finding a local repair shop that accepts our coverage. Some shops refuse to take our coverage, however it is not for the reasons you may think. Some shops refuse to take any outside coverage because they want to be in charge of their own prices. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. We’re happy to stand on our record of servicing over 2 million customers over our 18 years in business. Not to mention our claims department pays out over $5 million in claims every month. During the process of changing my billing information due to fraud, apparently also setting up auto pay, I paid over the phone then also billed by auto pay. The issue was resolved, and the integrity of the representative and staff is impeccable.

I have a CarShield plan and had an issue with my SUV and CarShield helped me locate a dealer that was in their Car Repair Network. The process was stress free from start to the finish of the repair. I was only responsible for the co pay and a few parts totaling $200.00. The repair would have coated at lease $2500-3000 without having the CarShield Protection. The other bonus is having road side assistance. My car is several years old but having Car Shield is like having the extra warranty at a dealer. If you are thinking about purchasing a plan it's well worth it and def pays for itself! Thanks again Car Shield! 😊

I had trouble with my car and car shield themselves referred me to one of the mechanics that are on their list. The mechanic told car shield something was wrong with the car, car shield went out to drive the car and said nothing was wrong with it: Now I am driving an unsafe car not to mention it took them 8 days to come and look at it. I have been paying for 2 years I should have been helped with my car! I was left to go on public transportation.
The lady was nice and tried to help me as much as she could.
Because of the advertisements made by movie stars that claim that car shield is excellent but mainly because of the age of vehicle I have. I thought I would be able to feel secure knowing that if something broke down I would be covered by car shield.

The process took to long, they had my car for eight days before making a decision, never once did they offer me the use of a rental car. They always seemed to be giving me the runaround.your company needs to learn to put the consumer first.

I took my car in because the horn was making a soft groaning noise. I thought it was a fuse and was ready to pay for it. Come to find out it was water in the horn! Car Shield came through for me again! I was totally ready to pay the bill. My heart goes out to Car Shield. Thanks so much.

We went to a local Jeep dealer, they evaluated the problem and contacted Car Shield. Unfortunately, for Car Shield to completely take care of the problem, they wanted to use after market parts. In order to get real Jeep parts, we had to pay about $900.

I recently needed to have an engine/transmission mount replaced - a $500 job. I called Car Shield and was told this was a covered repair and my mechanic accepts Car Shield. My only regret is that not all service facilities accept CarShield

Engine check light came on
Had the code read at Autozone. Checked under the hood and found a disconnect ed part of the Eval system
The plastic stem off end of
What I think was called the eval canister. Put a rubber sleeve over end of hose and broken stem of canister
Reset everything and engine check light goes off for a month or more. Light comes back on? Checked the clamp and it had vibrated loose. Tightened it, reset, light goes off for another 4 plus weeks
When light back on called Car Shield wanted it fixed. Lady I spoke with reviewed my contract. Saw I'd purchased the extra Eval Package. Gave her the Autozone coverage and she said I was covered. Called and took vehicle to 4 dealer or repair shops. When I said I had Car Shield they all laughed and said CS was the worst. Don't want to pay and if they do pay pull tricks to delay payment and U have to waste time calling and following up. Finally found repair shop to check it. They did a half $#*! check, they said it was leaky hose and said they would called CS. I asked if the Tech saw my clamp and tape on the broken canister stem. No report on that. I asked to talk to the Tech and told he was busy. Said he would call me
Never heard back. Some A-Hole from CS called the next day or so and denied claim. Said my package didn't cover hoses. The eval system doesn't have standard rubber hoses. They are a main part of the Eval system. All these dealers and repair shops. Car Shield in my opinion is the worst.
Terrible. Got cut off the call 3 times. On 4th or 5th try finally spoke to a great woman who reviewed contract and confirmed I was covered.
Said adds on TV. Thought it would be a honest a d trustworthy company. Paid little over $1400 to 100,000 miles after Mfg warranty expired. Never filed a claim
The joke is on me for listening to sale guy to buy the extra eval pkg. Everyone I see will hear my story
