A couple of months after I signed up, I almost cancelled. Car shield reps worked with me to find the right coverage that better suited my needs that fit with my budget. I questioned my decision from time to time, all the way up until my transmission AND differential both gave out simultaneously. Over $8,000.00 that they covered. I had to pay almost $450.00 for the stuff that wasn't covered like fluids. Saved my A**! As long as you read your contract and know what to expect, Car Shield is a very good service.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
The customer service rep was very helpful. I was ready to leave/cancel Car Shield, but she able to calm
Me down. She listened to my concerns and explained what the 1st rep should have given me. She was able to keep me with car shield. Now we will wait what will happen on the next repair. Hopefully all will go well.

Well, I had to learn what I needed to learn in my experience. My vehicle could not pass inspection because my check engine light was on. I spoke to one of the agents at Car Shield and was told what I needed to do. It just so happened that the check engine light went off within the 15 days that I had to correct the problem. I went back to have it RE inspected and It passed. I did not have to use Car Shield after all. Now I just have to get my sticker from the courthouse. I wonder now if Car Shield covers everything.
I really did not get a chance to experience and see how Car Shield works!
I chose Car Shield because I saw all of the commercials soon after purchasing my vehicle and wondered if I needed to be a part of this in case something happened to my car.

Great people, good product, and a true need fulfilled can be found at Car Shield if you need an extended warranty for your automobiles! Ask for Cheyenne Green or Darris if you call their Customer Service, they're wonderful help.

On 7/20/2023 i was in an accident & my I was waiting on info from car insurance. So on 10/17/23 i called Car Shield to cancel my policy.They said they would credit my card with the $119.99.I spoke with Vernon & he gave me a confirmation # *******. Still nothing on my card. So i called 12/7/2023 & they assured me that my card would get credited & it is now 12/14/2023 & no credit.
I am not going through this whole thing Just credit $119.99 back on my card.

They just decide without proving evidence for the denial! CarShield doesn't actually hold the warranty, they are just a broker; when you file a claim the only one you can speak to is a service representative and not the actual Adjuster making the decisions! They do not respond in a timely manor unless it is to tell you that they denied your claim! Not worth the money! I sent them all of my service records and because the pictures weren't clear they denied my claim saying lack of service.
The service representatives only have spotty notes at best and they don’t even keep their own notes
I found out my power train on my new vehicle had expired.

A Car Shield representative contacted me to let me know that my January payment had not been received. My Car Shield payments are automatic and my bank records showed it had in fact been paid. Almost immediately, the representative saw that my payment had been received and apologized for the accounting error.
I’ve been a customer with Car Shield for five years. At that time, Car Shield was the only warranty service that I was aware of. Since being a member, I’ve filed two claims. One was a faulty fuel pump, which Car Shield paid $1,300.00. The second claim was for a faulty electrical distribution box. Car Shield denied the claim. This is the only complaint I have. With electronics controlling so many systems in newer vehicles, I believe that there should have been at least some compensation.

Taking my truck in to the dealer I got lots of run around about the liability for the problem that I was having with my truck. The dealership was telling me that they never got the approval from Car Shield to do the repairs. When I called Car Shield they said that they gave them approval right away. Well before you know it I was waiting for a week without my truck, for something that was supposed to be two days. I guess I don't go to that dealership again.

I bought a used Honda Pilot. I had not had it or the warranty very long when the service engine light came on. I took it to the local Honda dealer to get it checked. I had to leave it there to be checked. I gave them my Car Sheila account number. The next day I got a call from the dealer letting me know what the problem was and to let me know that the problem that was found was not covered on my policy. I see 10 + commercials a day telling how great your company is.
No help!!!

Our coverage plans vary depending on the age and mileage of the vehicle. Therefore, our sales agents place you into the highest level of coverage your vehicle qualifies for at the best rates.
Very pleased with the claims process. Coverage could be better, yet will accept for now. Had to have transmission replaced. CarShield paid to have it rebuilt vs replacing with new or remanufactured one at their discretion. Should be at customers discretion. Claims process was very smooth and very pleased with outcome. They even paid for my rental car (retroactively). CarShield worked smoothly with repair facility (AAMCO) which was a great help. Thanks CarShield. Will be sure to keep you for next vehicle purchase.

I've been a member for quite a while, never really used it, when I did need them they couldn't help me. My throttle went out and they don't cover it. It will cost 900$ that I don't have. So now I have no vehicle to get to work or anywhere. I pay 109$ a month for carsheild.

I took my Jeep Commander 2007 in for repairs. The technician diagnosed the problems. Alternator and Water pump. The technician sent the work order to Car Shield. Car Shield approved the work order and quickly processed the payment.

Adams Automotive examined my vehicle and work on my AC had to be done. Car Shield covered the cost as written on my contract. Also, other problems were discovered as the mechanics looked at my vehicle. Again, Car Shield paid for work on my vehicle's engine. Car Shield has more than paid for what I pay for a years warranty on both my vehicles. I would recommend Car Shield for people driving vehicles that are older or have high mileage.

I was told by Jeff and a lady at different times that everything was covered and I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket! And now there has been a deductible able to my account that I didn't have when I set up!
Ashra was a complete agervation to talk to.. I repeatedly asked to be transferred to supervisor and she just wouldn’t do it then after about 10 min she said she was transferring me to supervisor so I wait and “it was NOT a supervisor “” I kept getting pulled around!

Have paid for Car Shield for a year—never used it. Had the check engine light come on and ran a diagnostic with FI XD. Call customer service and was assured that at least the thermostat was covered. Found out that I could not just take my car just anywhere, so took to one of the recommended shops. I had never received a copy of my Car Shield contract. When the repair shop contacted Car Shield, they were told that none of the work would be covered. When I called Car Shield again, I was told that nothing was covered. Also, that the plan that I had had been upgraded, but after I purchased mine; so, mine was not upgraded. So I paid $1200+ to Car Shield, plus the cost of repairs!

Car Shield claims that it will pay 100 percent of the cost of repairs minus the $100 deductible. This was not the case. My bill came out to $1300. I had to pay close to $600 out of pocket because Car Shield pays the national average for parts and labor. The shop, which is Car Shield approved, would not negotiate on the cost; therefore, I had to pay the difference. If it's a Car Shield-approved shop, they should abide by the warranty company contract. I canceled my policy after the claim was paid.
Not worth the 120 a month I was paying for.

My engine light came on so I called Car Shield they didn't cover it. I took my car to several repair shops and the BMW dealership and they don't take car shield. So I wasted $99.00 a month for 4 months and no one accepted Car Shield and don't think you're going to be reimbursed cause you're not

Car Shield so far has proven to do exactly what they say they will do. I recently had a sensor go out on my vehicle and due to work, was only able to have my car serviced on a Saturday. I was pleased to speak to a live person and get all of my questions answered on that Saturday. Not only that but the sensor was covered, and after my deductible was met, Car Shield covered the rest. My dealership was paid by Car Shield quickly and I was out the door and had time in the day to spare. Easy! And with real people to speak with through the whole process. That's my kind of warranty!
