A couple of months after I signed up, I almost cancelled. Car shield reps worked with me to find the right coverage that better suited my needs that fit with my budget. I questioned my decision from time to time, all the way up until my transmission AND differential both gave out simultaneously. Over $8,000.00 that they covered. I had to pay almost $450.00 for the stuff that wasn't covered like fluids. Saved my A**! As long as you read your contract and know what to expect, Car Shield is a very good service.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
I had a broken motor mount on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, discovered during a routine service.
My repair shop contacted Car Shield on my behalf and shortly thereafter, my broken motor mount

Well my car engine light came on and I immediately drove to Auto Zone to get a dinostic report done, they informed me that my oil filter was falling out and my censor was stuck in the off opposition. I immediately called my service dealer and got my car put into the shop. AutoZone dinostics was right on the nose. Well as I was told it's only the filter & sensor that is bad don't let them tell you there was more to be done. Well sure enough that's what happend saying thousand dollars of work need to be done. They called shield to see if work would be covered to replace a housing & oil pump, car shield did honor the housing but said no to pump replacement. Yes I was upset at first, but then took it to another mechanic and was told my pump was just fine. So long story short thank you Car Shield for not covering the part and saving our company monies that weren't needed to be spent. Your Savings are our savings too!
Took my concern and was given ample time for their decision and reasons why.

I have paid over 2400 dollars to this company thinking I was safe. A LIE! They tell you that you can take your car to the place of your choice but what they don't say is the place of your choice don't accept their coverage. No real reputable company want to be bother with them because of the hassle they put them through about part's and inspection of the work the company may have performed or need to perfom. I understand why they don't want to bother. I'm a client and the way Becky, Darnell(?) Of the customer service treated me was terrible. While on the phone with Darnell it was so much noise that my ears was hurting. I even recorded the noise. Never once was an apology made or that I'll call you back because of the noise. Kinda glad he didn't because I probably wouldn't have got a call back. I have never ever encounter a business as such. I'm not a complainer but the false advertising from this company is unacceptable. They wanted me to take my 2017 Caddy to Midas. I had a very bad experience with Midas and hope I won't ever have to use them to repair any vehicle of mine. I am so so so so disappointed. It's like they just took my money to pay for someone else's repair. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. DON'T LET THEIR ADVERTISEMENT BITE YOUR POCKETS.

I had gotten Car Shield because my warranty with the Dodge dealership was over and they weren't willing to extend it, even though the car has gone through them for everything. So I signed up for Car Shield. It was really easy. I had been with Car Shield for about a year and was informed by my mechanic (not Dodge) that he doesn't work with Car Shield, so I ended Car Shield. For the few times that I did talk to a Car Shield representative, they did act professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I'm just not willing to give up a good mechanic.
As reluctant as they were to lose me as a customer, they were very nice through the whole conversation.

I took my Mercedes Benz to the Benz's dealership and to my surprise they wouldn't honor my Car Sheild's contract. Before they even looked at my vehicle, I asked them do they honor Car Sheild. They said No! I was upset because I've been paying a monthly payment for a good while now. I wanted to put my other car on the contract and delete the Benz but decided against it, because when I got home I spoke to a Car Sheild customer service representative and she gave me another place to take my Benz. I'm ok now. I didn't get the name of the Rep. Who helped me, but I'm so glad she did! Thank You for caring!

Now this quote is on a 2020 dodge gran Caravan one previous owner it was a rental van for enterprise. So vehicle comes with enterprise certified 12months ******* miles power train warranty...and they sell same coverage $39.added to car payments x 36 months for 3 years ******* miles covers evrething... after I told car shield ware to go...they now keep calling me offering less so my advise don't ever take there first quote unless it's $1.00. But they are greedy. I can't belief ice t.and Rick flair are doing commercials if they aren't coperat greedy. On top made me feel like they races.

I canceled my carshield before the due and they did not cancel it amd they took money our of my account and would not refund my money. I cancel cause I sold the truck a week before my next month payment was due.
I called 4 days before it came out of my account watch them. The will rip u off. Ox car care or endurance are better cheaper

Please don't waste your time and money with this company. All there going to do is take your money without actually fixing anything. Took my car in for a steering situation and they covered everything except the actual problem. Basically didn't fix anything but still had to pay out of pocket. Will never use them again. Don't fall for it.

Buyer beware that your Car Shield policy does not cover problems including normal wear and tear of all parts of your vehicle that are included in a Manufactures Technical Service Bulletin called an "TSB. That includes most every part of your vehicle including drive train, motor, engine, brakes, steering etc. Car Shield should go by the legal definition "Unlike recalls, manufacturers never cover TSB-related problems out of pocket unless there is a warranty. When it expires, this burden lies solely on the owner" and cover your vehicle. This is obviously a redefinition of responsibility and will include any repair they chose to not pay. This defines Car Shield to me as a SHAM COMPANY. Please read paragraph 25 carefully and when it says that they don't cover parts that the manufacturer accepts responsibility for, they really mean anything that has a technical bulletin. My Ford F150 have over a hundred on it including almost every part so the truck is exempt from Car Shield coverage as they interpret paragraph 25.

I've delt with "paying bills department" and gave me a lot of grief by giving me half answers to a missing check of $119.99 from Mepco which you departed with them in September when I sent two checks through them. I finally spoke to Chris in customer service and explained that I should call Mepco to account for the missing check and I did. Chris gave me their number. Then I got back to CarShield to fix this problem. I'm still waiting to receive a credit return of my check for $119.99 which was cut on 11/18/23, I believe.

Not what I expected pertaining to covered repairs. I dropped my vehicle at Pep Boys to have the starter replaced. It was a covered repair, and Car Shield shipped a starter from their warehouse to be installed. However Pep Boys refused to install it and used their own. The difference in price was almost $300, which I had to pay. My out of pocket for a COVERED REPAIR should be limited to my deductible. Obviously this changes my earlier opinion of Car Shield!
Initially it was excellent, however later in the process not satisfactory.
Price, service and what appeared to be excellent coverage for my selected plan.

Well so far this company is good, I just I hope that when I need something done this company will do the repair on my car,because I'm on a small income and I'm 70 yrs old,and do take care of my 2013 Hyd. I change my oil and make sure everything is done so far my car is in good shape with 84,000 miles on it...

I have been told by several that I needed to switch from carshield to endurance saying that carshield wouldn't pay for repairs. I have never had ANY trouble with carshield. My car was fixed and repaired within a couple of days. I'm with Carshield!

Carshield gave me a name of a shop that took carshield to work on my truck. The shop went a head and fixed my truck. When they called carshield to tell them the truck was fixed they said they wasn't going to pay the bill cause the shop didn't call carshield and get authorization. I been paying my premium every month for years and they want pay that little bill. That's why they are a joke don't waste your money cause they want pay the bill for fixing your auto. All the money I paid in every month for years. Thank you carshield...

Carshield recommended Meineke CarCenter to
Diagnose and repair my vehicle. I admit completion of diagnose and repairs was done in 7days which was awesome. But the attitude of mechanic pushing a new car battery new tires,and trying to convince me to open a credit-line with Meineke was uncalled for. Not to mention the oil filth that was left in my vehicle door handles.
Carshield pays for parts and labor,but Meineke mechanic charges taxes on parts that Carshield has already paid for. Shady

I had a problem with the ac. I brought the car to an authorized repair shop. They tried to fix it once. Two weeks later I had the same problem. I was told I had to use the same repair shop so I did. After another 3 weeks the problem came back again. Instead of having it repaired a 3rd time I traded the car in for a newer one that is still under mfg warranty.
