A couple of months after I signed up, I almost cancelled. Car shield reps worked with me to find the right coverage that better suited my needs that fit with my budget. I questioned my decision from time to time, all the way up until my transmission AND differential both gave out simultaneously. Over $8,000.00 that they covered. I had to pay almost $450.00 for the stuff that wasn't covered like fluids. Saved my A**! As long as you read your contract and know what to expect, Car Shield is a very good service.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
I never used car shield, I called about my engine light coming on. But they didn't tell me how to go about it. I needed more information

Transmission went. Car shield paid 98% of the total cost of $6435.00 I pay $293.87 with my $100.00 deductible. Can't say enough about how good the service was.

After checking " shieldrepairnetwork.com " to find facilities close to me that accept CarShield, and found that there were no Chevrolet Dealers close to me that accept the plan. I called the dealer that I had planned to have the car (a Corvette) taken for repair, and they said they didn't accept CarShield because they had several bad experiences with getting paid for their work and delays in getting approval to make repairs. The dealer that sold me the car said they would honor the warranty since they sold the car to me, but they haven't had good luck working with CarShield.
After paying $159 a month for several months, I feel that maybe I made a mistake going with CarShield.
They gave me an online site to check repair shops accept CarShield, and there weren’t any Chevrolet dealers near me listed.
Not a very extensive list of shops that work with CarShield. I’m not feeling good about my choice.
I thought that it would cover any repairs on the car and be honored at any repair facility.
CarShield is a known name.

My Ford car was taken in for air-conditioner repairs. I contacted the Kwik Kar of Cedar Hill, TX and I was updated on what was going on with my car in regard to the parts and labor services by the car advisor. I was informed about my deductible with my Car Shield policy. To conclude, I was told of the final cost of the car repairs with Car Shield and my balance cost. I was pleased with the customer service, repairs and final costs on my car.

When I went for smog Ck in California for my car registration I was told my engine lights were on. Then I was told I needed a Diagnostic Ck to determine cause of engine lights with cost of $177. I have Car Shield I stated so I called Car Shield, shared my delema & was referred to a mechanic who agreed to work with Car Shied. Car Shield's representative's last statement was "be sure the mechanic has your contract # & the phone # for Car Shields Claims. Service was performed, minor reset was performed, merchant called claims office & claim was denied! If my car needed involved repairs the claim would have been paid? Could not get smogged without issue being resolved……issue resolved…….claim not paid after being referred to the merchant. So sorry I ever reached out to Car Shield & 1st time merchant experience speaks badly for Car Shield. Also when I asked to speak to Claims supervisor he declined…….very, very poor customer service as well

I took my car to the dealership bill kay ford they look my car over for thing i took it in for and they told me what they found other wrong thing with my car which was nothing to do with what i took it in for i took it in for hub bearing replacement left and right side they told me i need a water pump vale cover gasket rad hose and they want to charge 4000.00 dollars i told them no just fix the wheel bearing and water pump and flush rad and replace hose i dont have the money car shield on paid about 1164.00 and i paid about 1361.00 the part was 1500.00 and 875.00 for labor i could have took it to a alley mech.a it would been cheaper the dealer is over price it and no renter car for me for 4days so that why i cancel.with car shield. This is a lot of BULL.

Couldn't find the charge on my CC bill for Car Shield so I called to make sure I was still covered. The automated answering service was simple to navigate and the customer service representative was more than helpful.
Answered all my questions, rectified my issues, was extremely kind.
My car was out of warrantee and my friend with the same car had a transmission blow out and it cost her a fortune. I didn't want that to happen to me so I signed up. That was several years ago.

My first experience with Car Shield was FANTASTIC!
The Car Shield administrator took over after my first call and stayed on my
Fuel pump problem until it was fixed. I had to be towed, Car Shield was on it!
While fixing my fuel pump issue, a rear differential leak was also discovered.
Car Shield was on it and had it repaired also! I am recommending to all of my family!
They saved me $1000. If you don't have Car Shield, GET IT QUICK!

Recently the hydraulic line in my car cracked and needed to be replaced. Since the hydraulic system is pressurized, the repair was more involved than the.8 hours that CarShield approved. You can't just replace the line. You need to depressurize the system, remove the old line replace the new line, and repressurize the system. This takes approx 4 hours. We tried to explain the process but the car shield support person wasn't knowledgeable about engine repairs and only knew what a book stated.

My experience was not good. My car was not cover under the repair need. There's was 2 times need repair and on the 2nd time I were told that my brakes was cover but when time came I was told that wasn't cover by car shield.
Service was great she's trying very hard to get me stay with car shield. Car shield will be having new Service coming up in a few months. But I told her thanks her but I don't needs your services anymore. Make payments nothing not cover I was paying out money for NOTHING.

I have been a auto mechanic for 40 years car shield is terrible but not as bad as American Family Fraud Insurance company. Never do anything with either one of those companies tell your friends and family's
