I have 2 vehicles covered under car shield including my 19 year old Land Cruiser. It comes with specific & straight forward guidance if we ever break down. Very happy to know I'm covered in the future!
After many years (7) of being with your company and very little repair claims; now that a major repair is needed you'll have dropped the ball with a lot of red tape and inquisitions. I've paid my premiums like clockwork every month. I'm not at all happy with your service or professionalism towards fixing my car, you'll looking for the cheap route to solve my issues. Cheapness seems to be your best interest and not satisfying a seven (7) year customer!
I have had Car Shield for a couple years. I was thinking that I might have made an error by purchasing their contract. Then, within a sixty day period I had three claims totaling approximately $10,000. The service was unbeatable.
In handling then claim the service was excellent. However, I have brought this to your attention multiple times without being able to resolve it. That is my wife, Bonnie, is addressed as the primary contract holder. I, Arlo, am the primary contract holder.
I heard an ad on the internet. For unknown reasons Car Shield is unable to correct their records. They address everything to my wife instead of me, the one who purchased the contract.

Dealing with car shield, they are the experts. I had experience their help regarding my handyman. They took charge. Talked to the mechanic. I didn't have to worry about anything. I felt safe because with car shield, they deal with the mechanic one to one and make sure no unnecessary repair should be done. Also feel secure because monetarily I just pay my portion. So far so good and I hope it continues that I have an understanding and good relationship with car shield. OK
My customer service experience I appreciate the no hassle attitude. All I had to do is tell them what the problem was and it took over from there. When you pay 139.99 it’s a lot, but i it is worth the help you need with no hassle attitude. No one wants to deal with a person representing the company that has no care and patience in their attitude while helping you.. like I said so far so good while dealing with car shield and I pray it will continue, the service I have so far I am grateful and satisfied.
I saw their advertisement on TV and I was thinking it would be wise to have someone by my side that understands repairing vehicles in other words car shield would be like my watchdog to make sure I only pay for the work to be done that is needed. When you’re not a rich person that can spend every cent on car repairs having a company to share the burden of the repair cost, I feel I did the right thing going with car shield.

I had canceled my policy because I could not afford it and I was embarrassed to tell them that was the reason. I started worrying about not having coverage and called back and the sweet young man I dealt with gave me a lower cost!
I’m a senior on ss and my warranty had run out without my realizing it. My air went out and it cost me $2000. I had seen Ice doing your ads so I went for it.

Told customer service I was unable to log into my account on the app. I was to delete and reinstall the app. I did this several times to no avail. Next customer service said they would IT department contact me. It's been 5 days with no response.

I had to continue to call and gain updates on claim. Adjuster never responded to my emails and voicemails. Was given different information on rental car.
Continued get text messages asking for information that had already been submitted.
To date have not received any notification that claim was approved, I had to gain that information from service provider at dealership.
Again I had to call to get status on claim.

I was having issues with my car from the dealership who was charging a lot of money to repair my vehicle. I had Car Sheild who gave me several auto shop that I can go to and I got my vehicle repaired. The service was done rapidly. Car Sheild paid the repair shop and my is up and running. Thank you for everything a very satisfied customer.
I chose CarShield because I was looking for warranty for my 2017 BMW and their on a monthly basis was reasonable.

I have used carshield for many years and they have come through when I have need them but mostly have not needed them. When I have sold my vehicles they never send back the money difference not used on the plan. I paid 2800 for a 5 year plan and only turned in 400 on a claim and sold the vehicle in two years and only got back 124? GM is running better plans now than car shield.

You can't use your AC without Freon, but yet I had to pay out of pocket for the Freon. Of course I don't mind the service fee, but I think it's unfair. I going to check to see if any other providers have this same policy; so besides the service fee and monthly fee I still had to pay more 😞
Because of the advertisement, I never considered any other but, I will now explore other options.

I realize the timing was very close from when I canceled to when the next payment was due. However, I canceled the service prior to the payment being auto charged to my account. Most companies would have refunded the payment for a service not used. I will leave it alone as the service representative that helped me doesn't make that decision, but I do hope you change your philosophy soon.

They turned down my claim for my timing chain and offered no help. So i have to end up paying 2500.00 for the timing chain for my chevy. When i went to cancel the rep wanted to lower my monthly payments after i told her that i cant afford them since i have to now pay out of pocket. She then said that she would see if the adjuster would come back out so i waited a day with no call what happen was they never sent out the adjuster again like she said it was a ploy to keep my monthly payments going, there shaddy and i would not recommend them to anybody.

I had a repair totaling $2900 for a transmission repair. The dealership did not want to take Car Shield, because of the reputation they had, for not covering repairs. I highlighted, in the Car Shield contract, what they said they would cover. They dealer made an exception and it was paid. Of course I did have to pay my deductible of $500. That was such a relief!
I saw an advertisement on television. I also recommended them to two friends of mine. One of my friends protected his son's car immediately. I pray they have a pleasant experience as well.

Tried to jump start my truck and couldn't get it started. Called to get towing set up to have the vehicle taken to a local shop. The representative was friendly and very helpful with locating a roadside provider. It made it a very nice and easy experience at a concerning time.

The inspector and the insurance adjuster from our Carshield claim took two weeks to get the ball rolling for my car to be processed to get it fixed. They did give us two weeks for a rental car even though we were without our car for a lot longer than that.
It was televised more and we wanted good warranty service that was affordable.

I had to put my truck in the shop. He said there was a hose for the DEF system. It had to be replaced and it may also require either turbo charger or the deaf system itself so they replace the hose. They couldn't tell so they replace the hose cover hoses. So when they replace the hose, it cost $1000 or $998 and you guys did cover. Please send me a list of stuff that you don't cover so I know whether I wanna stay with you guys or not.

I am greatly disappointed in the service I received in my most recent claim. My first claim two years ago was great since it was an accepted claim. My second claim which was this month was not a great experience at all. For one, Carshield could not find an approved tow company so I was out $125 for a tow that Carshield will not reimburse me for even though I have a receipt from the tow company. The approved repair shop called Carshield to advise of the diagnosis of my 2012 Traverse. Diagnosis was melted terminals in fuse box due to over surge on the circuit. I have no idea how that occurs as that is out of my control and Carshield denied it due to "external exposure", whatever that means. So much for my $100 deductible that they advertise on television. I am going to be out $641.85 for repairs that Carshield should be covering PLUS the monthly fee I pay Carshield for the coverage and the tow bill. This is going to cost me around $950.00 now.
Customer service was polite but they could not find an approved tow company so I had to find one myself and I will not be reimbursed the $125.00 for the tow.
I thought it would be good insurance coverage for my vehicle but am rethinking that since my recent claim was denied. Considering switching to a competitor to see if their claims handling is better. I will not be recommending Car Shield to anyone unless Car Shield changes their position and accepts the claim.

It is as it says call them first. My a/c stop working. Called them to find out who tacks Car Shield in my town. They talk to the shop for me set up a time to bring it in it was the blower moter. All I had to pay for was my deductible. Saved me all most $300.00. Thanks Car Shield.
The girl was very helpful and certious. Loved the way she made me feel relaxed. The whole experience was not stressful.
I got Car Shield before my warranty expired to help I am a senior citizen. I can't afford to have to pay big bill.

I was hesitant to sign up because I wasn't convinced the plan would pay out as the advertising and the agent I spoke would said. Expressing this concern to the sales agent, I was told to "not worry." Unfortunately, I did have a claim and the mechanic said that Car Shield had paid for a similar problem for another customer in the past; sadly, they denied my claim (to the amazement of the mechanic) and only paid a portion of the charge. I paid more for my premium over a 2 months than Car Shield paid for my claim. I would have been better off not having the coverage and simply paying for the repairs direct.
The agent who helped with the initial filing of my claim was great; the one I spoke with about my desire to cancel was rude and curt. Any possibility of staying with Car Shield when I called inquiring about canceling completely evaporated after the interchange with the second agent.
I thought it would help mitigate potential repair charges on an older vehicle.

Car Shield was there when I needed a rental. Because they needed more information from the repair shop, a delay of a week was make in starting the fix on the van. My days of the rental was up. They would not extented the rental, which leaves me without transportation.
I was very satisied with the rental at first. In the end I was without a vehicle.
I had Endurance at first. They did not satisfy my needs so I change to Car Shield.

It took several phone calls between myself and Carshield and the mechanic and Carshield to get approval for the repairs I needed. The advertised service is not as great as it let's on. Switching warranty companies!
It depended on the person you talked to as to whether or not they were willing to help.
I chose Carshield because the advertised coverage and the coverage I read about in the packet seemed great! However getting approval for the repairs was time consuming for both the mechanic and myself. Not a good first experience with Carshield.

I ordered a new debit card anc called car shield to give them new card number for auto withdrawal and it was a great experience. Quick, professional. Well, the card did not work so we had to get another. This one works so i again called car shield with this new number. The girl was not as pleasant as the first one. I asked her to repeat the number back to me and she told me she could not do that. I was offput about that but otherwise it was handled ok.

Liked the plan and ordered afterward. Have not had any issues with car shield and definitely like that.

I am beyond upset.I wish there could be a negative one hundred for a review. I have a F150 Truck. I religiously take care of my truck and Service it regular And drive very slow and carefully... I have paid for car seal service for years. Over one hundred dollars a month. The first time I call them and took my Truck where they told me to go. I was just informed by the mechanic.That car shield will not cover the issue. How convenient? Now I am told I have to pay over $1000 to fix this issue That I thought was covered by car shield. I am a senior citizen and on a fixed income.shame on them!
