A couple of months after I signed up, I almost cancelled. Car shield reps worked with me to find the right coverage that better suited my needs that fit with my budget. I questioned my decision from time to time, all the way up until my transmission AND differential both gave out simultaneously. Over $8,000.00 that they covered. I had to pay almost $450.00 for the stuff that wasn't covered like fluids. Saved my A**! As long as you read your contract and know what to expect, Car Shield is a very good service.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
I filed a claim on my vehicle. I was made to feel like it was my fault my vehicle broke down at least 3 times. I had to prove to the administrator that I had nothing to do with my car breaking down. The experience took at least a month and I still don't have my vehicle. I was told I couldn't get a rental vehicle because I had used all my funds for the claim. I canceled my policy and will never go back. Maybe I'll try Ensurance.

My experience had been a good one because you are never hounded or pressured about anything even if you change your service and that feels great in the times that we are living in now.
To have some extra coverage when factory warranty ran out.

I called car shield on my way over the car dealership car shield had my claim but not claim and auth from dealership? So I know lithia called car shield but maybe couldn't connect? They are very busy in customer service department! I was customer service rep and would have called dealer to give auth so customer wouldn't be caught in the middle :). Dealer gave me goodwill and covered cost of parts and deductible for being in the middle so I was very appreciate! Not sure if dealer got paid yet I hope so :)
Customer service rep was patient with me and her hands were tied without a claim from the service dept yet even though my part came in and they wanted to fix my car so they did because I’m a faithful customer :)

I cannot say I am Happy or displeased. I have had no actual experience with Car Shield. All I know is that I have not found many places that accept Car Shield and for $99.99 per month for over two years, I have accepted a slightly lower monthly rate and truly hope that if and when I need services by Car Shield, that I will FIND a place reasonably close to my address and get fast and acceptable service!
She was polite but kept saying she would lower my monthly rate and give me the same services. I finally gave in to her! Byt I also wonder if spending $70.00 per month is reasonable when I still have no idea if I can find a place that ACCEPTS Car Shield. My dealership where I bought my car would NOT!
I have no idea, I probably saw the advertisement on TV and thought I'd best GET coverage for my ten year old car which has been an angel to me thus far!

They do fix what they say, if its not any reason it broke besides a act of god. You gotta pay for labor to rip it out and rip it down, just to see it they will cover it. Then pay once they say no. If's it electrical or uses electricity your going pay outta pocket. It's a old system that covers old parts. Basically just the cam and gears, and plates and bands in transmission none of the electrical switches. Most have at least 6+. Save your money for your repair as these guys won't help you.

Used car warranty, that don't cover anything. It's out dated.

My vehicle had a problem and car shield said it wasn't covered. Intake manifold failed and truck wasn't drivable. This part supplies fuel to motor. Garage reached out and they didn't receive any help. I reached out and no help. Car shield failed and i wouldn't support this company.

Issue with tow driver he lied and said the vehicle owners responsibility to pay for towing upfront. It took several attempts to send towing document to Carshield
Each time you call you have deal different person it’s time consuming problem. I’ve never had tow my vehicle anywhere before . The towing bill had to be sent to carshield . It was too large send via email. It’s a .com address so it had faxed. Phone number listed was a local number and not the correct state number . Once I got the fax number I was finally able to have my daughter who works in a bank fax it for me . I feel strongly reliable tow companies should be used . The one who towed mine had numerous complaints filed . I received check after 10 days but it was reduced by $25 wasn’t explained..
Car shield was recommended by bank when I purchased my vehicle.

My Car Broke Down in December Called Car Shield And They Towed It To My Mechanic. Positive Experience To Start. Found Out Car Has Blown Engine. After Many Conversations With Car Shield Reps.Still Moving Forward With A Solution On What Warrenty Will Cover. Another Of Calls Regarding Maintenance Records,Even If You Choose To Do Your Own Maintenance Oil Changes They Want Record's And Receipts From Sources Such As Wal-Mart And Other Box Stores. Not Many Keep Simple Receipts. Lesson Learned, For The Future.

This Insurance is almost if not, I no-brainer for all your appliances, etc., in your home and home offices plus Internet, at a very, very low price and very easy to understand.
Because they paid for my four-wheel-drive transmission on my truck of $4400. Also, they lowered my monthly premium because I had some issues previously which they resolved much to my surprise. Ron Allen

Car Shield is a big scam, so buyers beware! I have been a gold member for four years and, for the four years, believe me or not, I have paid $6,658.98. When, however, my car finally broke down, I was told that was not covered under the warranty. To make a long story short, I was driving to work when the serpentine belt in my 2011 ML 350 broke, leaving me stranded on the road. That same day, I had the car towed to a nearby facility. I reviewed my contract with Car Shield right away, and I found out that Engine and all its parts were covered under my warranty. Indeed, my mechanic submitted the claim on my behalf. Sadly, a few minutes later, the mechanic informed me that the claim was denied by Car Shield, for in its opinion, the belt broke as a result of poor maintenance. The mechanic and myself could not believe it. The car was well maintained, and the belt broke as a result of two pulleys that separated from the engine. So, I am advising you to beware of Car Shield. I canceled my menbership that very same day. Please save your money instead.

Opinion: In most cases having a policy with CarShield would be throwing money away, and it would be difficult for me to be more disappointed with them.
Experience: When I signed up for the policy, I was told that it could be used at any dealership, however after taking my car into a dealership for repairs the dealer said they didn't work with CarShield. After speaking with two people at CarShield to see what dealerships are in the area, there were a very small number - and none for my car's brand. They worked with about 3 or 4 dealerships in the area in total compared to the area having dozens! It would not make sense to pay dealer repair rates at another brand's dealership to have someone work on the car who isn't trained on it and isn't using factory parts, to which they agreed. I had been paying for the plan for over 2 years before looking to make a claim and the customer service supervisor at CarShield refused to refund me anything because my plan was month to month instead of their term length contract.
Lesson: Find a mechanic you like and ask if they have any warranty providers that they work with. Don't do it the other way around as it is much harder to find a trusted mechanic than a warranty provider.
