A couple of months after I signed up, I almost cancelled. Car shield reps worked with me to find the right coverage that better suited my needs that fit with my budget. I questioned my decision from time to time, all the way up until my transmission AND differential both gave out simultaneously. Over $8,000.00 that they covered. I had to pay almost $450.00 for the stuff that wasn't covered like fluids. Saved my A**! As long as you read your contract and know what to expect, Car Shield is a very good service.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
I have never experienced sure rudeness before in my adult life the with not Car Shield but the company that they are affiliated with. I changed to Endurance.
They were pretty nice but it was the other company that didn’t want to help

MY VERY FIRST CLAIM REGARDING ENGINE FAILURE WAS DENIED WITHOUT EVEN VISITING THE DEALESHIP THAT I PAID TO TEAR DOWN THE ENGINE FOR YOUR ADJUSTER TO VIEW. I WAS TOLD AN ADJUSTER WOULD VISIT WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN. I AGREED TO PURCHASE THIS WARRANTY AFTER SEVERAL CALLS FROM YOUR COMPANY AND NOW REGRET DOING SO.

I WANTED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON A USED CAR WE OWN FOR PIECE OF MIND, I SHOULD HAVE DONE MORE CONSUMER RESEARCH ON THE COMPANY ITSELF. THE FACT THAT THEY DID NOT EVEN SEND AN ADJUSTER TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE THE CAR SUMS UP EVERYTHING.

I agreed to purchase the auto protection with this company. The person named Dominic walked me thru the process. I gave him my Credit card info to place it in force. He explained that if I wanted to cancel within 60 days of the the date approved, I would receive a full 100% of the initial premium. I called back the very next day and cancelled the program. Looking at my Credit card activity, the funds that was agreed to was already posted. The following day, my credit card had another monthly sum equal to the original agreed upon taken from my card. I called them and was told that it would be taken care of. After the weekend on the following Monday, another withdrawal took place. I called Car Shield and spoke with a guy who tried to convince me that the -$119.39 was the return of my funds. I had to explain that a - sign means subtraction! However, a + means an addition. My credit card company is now contacting me and told me that there was only one time that I authorized a withdrawal! All other request, were not authorized. The credit card company notified them of these request's that were not authorized by me.
Little to none! He didn't know the difference between a - minus sign and a + add sign.

They covered the repair minus my deductible and that was great but don't have a problem to far from home or the towing cost will kill you. I called a friend to trailer my Jeep home.

My truck has been in shop over 2 months, endless bait and switch with representative. I have called over 29 times and so has shop.The rear-end went out on my truck. Do not use this company.

This dealer doesn't like using Car Shield. They did the repair but said Car Shield would not pay for it because there was a pre-condition. I ended up paying for it myself.
My car is 12 years old and I expect things will go wrong eventually and didn't want the expense to be mine.

When I join carshield The clerk put the wrong Vin number on the documents that they sent me I call on the 14th last month. They were supposed to send me a new ID card with the correct number is been three weeks I have not received the information.
That clerk was very polite and courteous. The only thing recorded wrong Vin number, which is not acceptable.
The first time I was a customer for the first time I had to drop my warranty because I couldn’t drive now that I am well again I join CEL for the second time. Thank you.

I doubt it Car Shield because I heard a lot of negative reviews and a lot of companies didn't wanna use Car Shield but it left me with a positive feedback because when I needed a warranty for my vehicle, everybody else charge outrageous prices, and wasn't reasonable the cover that I needed. I signed up for Car Shield And it helped me when I really needed it and I definitely didn't have the funds for it only a small amount so I think Car Shield for helping people like me to keep my car on the road and to all the other people who accepted Car Shield. Now I can do the things I need to do without worrying about my car breaking down. Because I know that Car Shield has my back. I know it sounds very cheesy, but is the truth, and the staff who answers the phones they are excellent as well.
I need coverage as soon as possible and I just gave Car the chance and they haven’t let me down yet.

I know for sure that other garage is not going to work in our favor at all as contract holders with CarShield so with that said I'm going go cancel my contract the only way it's going to work for y'all is that y'all is to have your own Garage for contract holder only.

It is not y’all fault it the Garages that want take y’all parts so that they can mark up their prices so to eliminate that y’all are going to have to have your own place for us to have our Cars fixed.

Brought my car to be inspected (so I could tag my car). Needed a tirod. I showed him my CarShield card, He said "not worth the paper it was written on". They REFUSED to take the card. "Have had cars left on my lot for 3-4 days, before they paid". I called Customer Service. She was very helpful, but couldn't do anything. She suggested I send in the invoice and "maybe they will give you something back on it." I went online to get a webaddress. No luck. I DID get a response saying,"UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE would we pay an invoice after the fact." I just did what their CUSTOMER Service rep suggested.
She was very nice and I thought made a great suggestion. She gave me a couple of different shops who she”believed “could have taken care of the repair. She is also the person who suggested I try to send in my invoice for reimbursement or even a partial reimbursement. All I got was junk!

I called to see what was needed if we needed CarShield, the rep on the phone was very helpful and gave us information we would need if a claim had to be made, since our car was not running right, it turned out to be very minor and did not need to use Car Shield.
We choose Car Shield from seeing the adds on TV. I Know that this is an company we can rely on.

I was told by several friends NOT to purchase a contract with Car Shield because they would look for any minute detail to use as a reason to deny a claim if I ever needed to make one. I told my friends that I believed Car Shield to be a reputable and fair company based on their advertising. As it turns out, I did have to file a claim for my transmission to be either repaired or replaced. Car Shield denied my claim stating the reason for denial was a pre-existing condition according to the vehicle codes at mileage of 16,833. This is physically impossible as the transmission currently in my 2019 Chevrolet traverse was not in my vehicle at that mileage. The transmission had been replaced by the Chevrolet Dealership in 2021 at approximately 70,000 miles under warranty. I have given notice of my desire to go to Arbitration in the State of Arizona where I live. Car Shield has paid for towing to the repair shop ($125.00), paid for labor to dismantle and diagnose the cause of the problem (approx. $2,000), and will now have to pay for legal representation to appear in Arizona ($undetermined$), and after I present proof of no pre-existing condition will most likely have to replace the transmission anyway. They would have saved a large amount of money if they had just performed as my contract with them stated and repaired the transmission…and they would have produced and maintained a very satisfied customer who would have been a very vocal voice in the community in their favor. They have made a very bad business decision on this one.
My claim was denied for a physically impossible reason. This amounts to fraud in my opinion. We will see why the Judge Arbiter decides.
I believed they were honest and fair…my bad.

Explained where I could understand. Step by step information, that was helpful. After giving information, it was a no Brainerd. Needed to have the insurance. Nice, polite and friendly people.

I just had my transmission repaired and now you tell me that the shifter pin, which I would think is part of the transmission linkage is not covered. It seems odd to me. I am disappointed.

My car completely stopped and would not start. I had to have it towed to a dealership. They did over $1500.00 in repairs and your company did not pay one penny.
I was told that it was not a ‘coveted repair’.

I tried to cancel and they took me through hell and would not listen. It was cancelled but they are awful! They try their hardest not to cancel when your telling them you no longer want to be with them. Please dont do it just get regular car insurance and you will be fine.

After 3 years canceled because platinum coverage did not cover serpentine belt, didn't cover value gaskets and seals Subaru Outback 2015 because they weren't damaged by internal failures.
