A couple of months after I signed up, I almost cancelled. Car shield reps worked with me to find the right coverage that better suited my needs that fit with my budget. I questioned my decision from time to time, all the way up until my transmission AND differential both gave out simultaneously. Over $8,000.00 that they covered. I had to pay almost $450.00 for the stuff that wasn't covered like fluids. Saved my A**! As long as you read your contract and know what to expect, Car Shield is a very good service.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
Very good experience. Car Shield even referred me to a local shop to take the car and they also communicated with the shop and with me throughout the process.

My experience with this mechanic is very good what I don't understand is why you don't pay what the mechanic is asking. This is why most mechanics don't want to use you at least that's what I'm told

Everything was good until I had a major vehicle issue and then they decided not to cover the major repair...blaming me for the issue but still repaired the root cause

This company tries its best to NOT PAY FOR your car problems! I went passed my mileage required, past the probation period, did everything and just so happen months later I have an issue with my vehicle and they say this COULD BE A preexisting problem! My mileage and is all the same from the last maintenance to the carfax! I STRONGLY URGE AND PRAY FOR OTHER FAMILIES WHO WORK HARD AND GIVE COMPANIES LIKE CARSHIELD THE BENEFIT NOT TO! This is NOT cool by any means and please read my review and look elsewhere! My car has been in the shop now for over 2 weeks teared down waiting on the adjuster to determine if he/she wants to fix my car! PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! It will only put you that much more in a bind….

Have a valve guide problem. Took my truck to a preferred shop. Come to find out that they do not cover valve guides. Guess I didn't read the fine print. Do not recommend.
They nicely told me they were not going to pay the claim.

I had a problem with my new credit debit card and they took time to call me and the gentleman was so nice on the phone and was very cosiderate as I had my card scammed and he was sorry to hear that but it wasn't Car Shield that had scammed it the gentleman was very caring and attentive.

The product is great. My particular packages covers everything with s $100 deductible regardless of the amount of the repairs. Even if in the thousands of dollars.
The policy regarding when rental car coverage starts was an issue. Sometimes car is inoperable but parts sre mot available. Representative indicated coverage could not start until parts were received which cast a shadow over fairness of rental car coverage.

Heed the warnings from other Posters. CarShield is [not] insurance. All similar companies use the same model--it's also identical or similar to home service warranties.
Read contract exclusions before you call to subject yourself to a fast-talking "used car salesperson" type verbal assault. Focus on specific exclusions and "what if's" that favor the company not the consumer.

The item was the fact that you have to wait 25 days & 500 miles or 40 days & 250 miles as a Senior of 81 years old I don't think I drive that many miles anymore in that time frame meaning for a couple of months I have to pay for 2 companies instead of the one I got away from I don't have that much income
I just wanted to find out why I had to wait for the waiting period but still have to pay for 1 or more months with no coverage until I hit the 25/500 or 45/250 I can't afford paying 2 companies and I don't want to take a chance on no coverage during the waiting period
Kept getting phone calls and Emails that sounded interesting. In fact I thought I had signed up for car shield in the first place but found out later it wasn't.
