A couple of months after I signed up, I almost cancelled. Car shield reps worked with me to find the right coverage that better suited my needs that fit with my budget. I questioned my decision from time to time, all the way up until my transmission AND differential both gave out simultaneously. Over $8,000.00 that they covered. I had to pay almost $450.00 for the stuff that wasn't covered like fluids. Saved my A**! As long as you read your contract and know what to expect, Car Shield is a very good service.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing
Disappointed and frustrated to hear you don't cover all the cost for parts or labor or whatever the problem, we pay a premium and deductibles to find out we're not covered on everything

I bought carshield protection for my 2010 Toyota Corolla and 4 months later it blew a head gasket. I took the car to Toyota to have it repaired however, car Shield told them that since the radiator appeared to have been leaking,( which was a bold-faced lie), they refused to fix my car because they said that the head and head gasket would not be covered because the head gasket was not damaged by a moving part.
Even though, when I was told by their salesperson that with the plan that I got I was covered from headlight to tail light and everything in between. Even if the engine needed replacement.
Have a Toyota made their inspection they told me that the engine would have to be replaced, car shield, refuse to replace the motor and refused to fix anything.
As a result I had to purchase a new motor myself and I am now in the process of replacing the old one myself. I am 64 years old and cannot afford to have anybody else do it on my own which is why they should live up to their responsibilities and fix it for me.
There is no way that I would ever be able to recommend this Fly by Night crappy service to anyone all they do is take your money and don't do a damn thing for you.
As far as I'm concerned they should be rated with a minus 0, refund every dime that I've ever paid them and be put out of business so that they cannot rip off anybody else.
The customer service people did not care about me or my car. Basically all they said was too bad so sad, it sucks to be you.
I chose car Shield because given the fact that I am retired and on a fixed income, I cannot afford to fix my own vehicle if it should break down. However it seems that I am going to have to do it all myself again. It's not that I cannot or I do not know how, it's just that at this age I would not do it except for the fact that I need my car. I thought carshield was going to be a blessing when my car broke, however, it turned out to be nothing more than a rip off.

Sales person was good until I researched competitors. For what carshieldcharged for 1 year I received 5 years coverage matching apples with apples. Same covered parts less deductible.

Had issues with my vehicle. Gave my agreement number to shop. 2 hours later received text and a call to let me know the claim had been initiated by the shower. 20 minutes later got a approval text

To date I have not used My Car Scheild Policy, My car in still in the shop for its radio replacement I understand the Service department has an approval from Car Shield to cover the total cost of the radio and the installation. I will drop another comment when the job is complete, Great So Far!

On my first call with CS I was calling to find a place that might take my coverage, and they gave me that information. All is good. Then they told me I had to call them(CS/AC?) to get a "pre authorization for a diagnostic for my vehicle which I would have to pay in advance, BUT would get back at the end! One the net call FOUND OUT, THAT WAS NOT TRUE. Did not need approval for diagnostic and DO NOT GET ANY MONEY BACK FOR THE COST OF DIAGNOSTIC,
NOT GOOD they told me none of what the first guy said was true, I dot get the diagnostice fees back, my CS rep said I should owe XXX, my mechanic is saying twice that becasue CS is now allowing enough hrs to do the job. SO HOW DO YOU THINK I SHOULD FEEL.
Close to 4 yrs ago they told me a lot of good thing, which don't NOW seem to be coming true?

I took out a policy on my son's car. The mechanic found that the Ball Joint, Control arm assembly was worn and wouldn't pass the car for NY inspection. I filed a claim. They required the mechanic to document the issue and send pictures. The adjuster rejected the claim, he said the part has to "fail" before they will cover the repair. I asked if the part needs to fail and my son get in a serious accident before you will pay for the repair?
This company is a SCAM. Don't use them
