My starter gave out on my 2014 F-150. Once again, CarShield made my repair experience smooth and easy. What would have cost me nearly $500 was just my $100 deductible. So far I've saved thousands on repairs through CarShield.
I was called twice about my bill not gone through my credit card when I had a email from my bank showing that went through OK. So by the third time I had to tell the operator to recheck because it was paid. So I don't know why I was called when it was paid on time so looks like one department didn't know what the other department was doing

Not only do they find loop holes to avoid covering you but the representatives take it personally when you call to cancel the service, the rep. Argued back and fourth with me although I just wanted to cancel, he said " You should have read the agreement" although I called and asked them several times what would be covered, my part was covered but because of how it broke even through I did nothing wrong they found a way out, as I was cancelling the rep asked to place me on hold, I said that's fine but I sat on hold for at lease 10 minutes I went home the call dropped in the garage so I called back got the same exact rep. He asked " did you hang up the call" I said no i entered a garage he asked to place me on a 3-4 minute hold AGAIN so I asked if it would actually be a 3-4 minute hold because I held much longer the 1st time, he paused for so long I thought the call dropped again I had to say "Hello" he then blitzed through cancellation terms and then hung up on me like he actually ended the call said goodbye and hung up on me If you were able to blitz through like that and then hang up on my why did you place me on hold to begin with? Then ask to place me on hold again? He took my wanting to cancel very personal, I did not want to argue or talk I wanted to cancel that's it. I'm disgusted with the whole experience from start to finish.

Help me shut them down by filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in your area. Most importantly, DONT CALL THEM!

I think I’ve said it. Don’t Call, if they call you hang up immediately, they are strong arm artists and rude and crude and one of the worst scammers I’ve ever reviewed.

I've been with Carshield since 2020. Tried using it for the very first time because my vehicle is using up engine oil. My claim was denied, through an underwriter called American Auto Shield, stating my contract doesn't cover oil consumption. I filed a dispute with Carshield stating that the issue of oil consumption is the result of something not working right in the engine. So i then get told from an Auto Shield rep that i will have to pay out of my own pocket to have the engine torn down to find what is causing the oil consumption. So thinking i was going to have to pay only $100 deductible, i now will have to pay over $3,000 to have the engine torn down to find what's causing the oil consumption. My copy of the Carshield contract states i'm covered for "all internally lubricated parts within the engine." The contract also states "The engine block and heads are covered ONLY if damage is caused by a FAILURE of any internally lubricated part within the Engine. My claim should have been an easy approval. Oil consumption, with no leakage, is systemtic of an an internally lubricated part failing. There's evidently some fine print that states "tear down of the engine is the responsibility of the owner."
The Carshield rep told me how to file a dispute. Sadly the underwriter, American Auto Shield, still didn't help to properly resolve the issue.
I thought i was making a goid decision to protect my vehicle.

I had transmission problems Carsheild did just as advertised. Repaired the transmission and the only charge was the deductible of $100. Also a loaner was provided at no additional charge

Staff was knowledgeabole and effiecient. However, I would have preferred a totally automated process for making a payment. Also, I never received the email confirmation of the payment.

After three years with my car shield policy on my Ford fusion, I added my Subaru Crosstrek and three months after having my cross trek the hybrid motor needed to be rebuilt and because of a bulletin from 2017 the claim was denied and I'm sure with this scam company Anytime you submit a claim for anything they're gonna come up with a reason as to why it's not covered under the policy even though you have the highest policy covering everything possible I canceled my two policies. I would never recommend Carshield and their TV advertisements are an absolute abuse of customer relations. When we first submitted the claim it took 10 days of back-and-forth before we could open up a claim they wouldn't submit the parts list from me the customer they had to speak with the dealership and the Subaru dealership in Tucson Arizona. Service department were very laid-back and lazy and did nothing in an attempt to get the job Which would have netted them an $8000 service you think they would've worked the little harder. The service manager was less responsive than the front desk people I would never recommend service at Tucson Subaru either. It's really a shame to say that customer service has really been lost, in this new generation

Didn’t do repair because Carshield denied the claim due to a seven-year-old bulletin which has nothing to do with Worn parts on the hybrid motor after three years of policy on one car and three months on the newest used car, I canceled my plan, figuring that every time I go to a service center they’re going to come up with some stupid finding in their favor not to cover your claim as a customer, I feel totally violated and ripped off from a nationwide company spending millions of dollars on advertising and promoting false information about their coverage
