I've been a member of Carshield's Warranty Program for quite a few years. During this time, I've had to do maintenance on several vehicle parts. When claims were called in for approval I must say the dealership handling all repairs have been received positively wit prompt and immediate responses for claim verification. I have been blessed to not have my price portions to be above what I felt was reasonable. All claims are received, quoted a price with repairer, and paid upon completion of work. Yes! I'm a satisfied and pleased customer with CarShield and my repair dealership, Firestone for excellent care and showmanship of service! The cost to replace the faulty touch screen on my car was covered by Car Shield. However, I was not expecting that Car Shield does does not cover the cost off programming it so it will function properly.

A Day after I paid-in-full the Balance of the Plan, I find out MY Service Dealer won't honor the CarShield Plan, due to slow/No payments for their efforts. Needless to say, I am In-Process of Cancelling the CarShield Plan (At a $75.00 Fee.)
Up Until about now (2 Weeks) was very satisfied with the Customer Service Response group. May change depending on how much longer I must wait for a Refund.

I had transmission problems Carsheild did just as advertised. Repaired the transmission and the only charge was the deductible of $100. Also a loaner was provided at no additional charge

I was told by several friends NOT to purchase a contract with Car Shield because they would look for any minute detail to use as a reason to deny a claim if I ever needed to make one. I told my friends that I believed Car Shield to be a reputable and fair company based on their advertising. As it turns out, I did have to file a claim for my transmission to be either repaired or replaced. Car Shield denied my claim stating the reason for denial was a pre-existing condition according to the vehicle codes at mileage of 16,833. This is physically impossible as the transmission currently in my 2019 Chevrolet traverse was not in my vehicle at that mileage. The transmission had been replaced by the Chevrolet Dealership in 2021 at approximately 70,000 miles under warranty. I have given notice of my desire to go to Arbitration in the State of Arizona where I live. Car Shield has paid for towing to the repair shop ($125.00), paid for labor to dismantle and diagnose the cause of the problem (approx. $2,000), and will now have to pay for legal representation to appear in Arizona ($undetermined$), and after I present proof of no pre-existing condition will most likely have to replace the transmission anyway. They would have saved a large amount of money if they had just performed as my contract with them stated and repaired the transmission…and they would have produced and maintained a very satisfied customer who would have been a very vocal voice in the community in their favor. They have made a very bad business decision on this one.
My claim was denied for a physically impossible reason. This amounts to fraud in my opinion. We will see why the Judge Arbiter decides.

I bought carshield protection for my 2010 Toyota Corolla and 4 months later it blew a head gasket. I took the car to Toyota to have it repaired however, car Shield told them that since the radiator appeared to have been leaking,( which was a bold-faced lie), they refused to fix my car because they said that the head and head gasket would not be covered because the head gasket was not damaged by a moving part.
Even though, when I was told by their salesperson that with the plan that I got I was covered from headlight to tail light and everything in between. Even if the engine needed replacement.
Have a Toyota made their inspection they told me that the engine would have to be replaced, car shield, refuse to replace the motor and refused to fix anything.
As a result I had to purchase a new motor myself and I am now in the process of replacing the old one myself. I am 64 years old and cannot afford to have anybody else do it on my own which is why they should live up to their responsibilities and fix it for me.
There is no way that I would ever be able to recommend this Fly by Night crappy service to anyone all they do is take your money and don't do a damn thing for you.
As far as I'm concerned they should be rated with a minus 0, refund every dime that I've ever paid them and be put out of business so that they cannot rip off anybody else.
The customer service people did not care about me or my car. Basically all they said was too bad so sad, it sucks to be you.
I chose car Shield because given the fact that I am retired and on a fixed income, I cannot afford to fix my own vehicle if it should break down. However it seems that I am going to have to do it all myself again. It's not that I cannot or I do not know how, it's just that at this age I would not do it except for the fact that I need my car. I thought carshield was going to be a blessing when my car broke, however, it turned out to be nothing more than a rip off.

This is the worst service I've ever had in my life they promise to pay for it things that are covered in the warranty and they do not deliver on any promises they send the same adjuster out and then they lie and say they help you pay for car towing car rental I haven't received anything back I would not recommend the service to anyone if I can give them a zero star I would

I was told by many repair shops they do not deal with car shield. I'm better off paying out off pocket. I tried to get a refund from car shield just for the current month and they refuse.

Phone service agents were not helpful. Repair partially paid for with no explanation that made sense. This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had and I have been owning cars since 1983z
The agent was hard to understand. English was hit his first language. The tow company took so long to reach my house I used AAA.
Many repair shops would not accept car shield and when I found one they performed the repair. Car shield paid $280 and I paid $750.
Price and I was under the impression that the coverage would be fairly comprehensive

This is a waste of time, unless you have the time to fight with CarShield, who then turn your claim over to a company that doesn't use an address only PO Box. It's called United Car Care. I have current information for you Do not Get This Coverage. A horrifying experience, I am presently still fighting with "United Car Care" who authorized my claim then denied it. You are better off putting your money aside in a cookie Jar to save it for car repairs. All the monthly payments I made were in vain, think my 2016 Jeep with under 78,000 miles are covered. It's alright, they will ignore your calls. Then the blame games begin, in your contract is United Car Care, but when you take your vehicle for service, you have to say I have Carshield. Then the service people begin laughing, you have who/what? Lady, have you checked their rating lately? Yet, I paid thousands of dollars, for abandon protection. They will not cover you they will find every excuse possible. You are paying Car shield, and they throw you off on United car Care only for your claim to be denied! RUN from these people it's a scam. A Waite of time, you have to continue to call, and get bounce around. I am still waiting today 12/29/2023. I want to help someone not to get hurt. Save your money, Do Not Buy CarShield! They will fright you on every claim. I am still a customer,I paid to experince this horriable experince.

Everyone I have encountered has been very professional and explained what I needed to do. It was very helpful to me as it was all new, but it has been very smooth in getting my vehicle repaired.
I shopped different companies and called 2; Car Shield and Endurance. The car shield rep was polite and explained what level of protection was available to me for my vehicle. The Endurance tep told me I was ignorant about what Car Shield really covered and I should just sign with Endurance. I picked Car shield because I felt I was dealing with the best.

My car is a 2018 - Not "old", but certainly not "new".
It has 41,000 miles on it, because I don't drive much. Ice T kept drilling in my head to get Car Shield, and I love him... so I joined.
I was enrolled for 6 months. Something wacky happened to my car. Coolant started leaking from my car, but not on to the ground (where I could have detected a problem). It leaked into the engine. My car overheated on me, twice; Dashboard lights were flashing RED and the font was yelling at me to shut the car off.
I towed it to the local dealership. They did a two-day diagnostic on it. Turned out; I needed a whole new engine!
At 41,000 miles... I needed a new Engine?!? WHAT?!?
Car Shield picked up the bill. Total cost was just shy of $6,000.
I have recommended Car Shield to *SO* many people, ever since this incident. Friends, Family, Neighbors, Strangers... You name it! If I see a random person with their hood up and a puzzled look on their face, I recommend Car Shield.
I could not be more grateful for this Insurance. I will be a life-long customer of Car Shield.
There were a lot of transfers from one department to the next, I will say that. And because of that, I did need to repeat myself and why I was calling over and over. However, once I got to the right agent, my questions were answered quickly and easily and the conversation was smooth like butter
