I have 2 vehicles covered under car shield including my 19 year old Land Cruiser. It comes with specific & straight forward guidance if we ever break down. Very happy to know I'm covered in the future!
Engine blew up and they only covered $1200 out of the $6000. My shop provided all the necessary details from cause of failure to freeze frame data. They refused to pay the entire claim. Even though all parts were covered under the contract. If you google this company you'll understand why there's a 10 million dollar lawsuit for deceptive ads. No shop or dealership wants to deal with CarShield either. They are difficult to work with and do not pay out. Save yourself and go with another company.

I had to keep calling because they said they were unable to read my attachments. Finally after calling they said they were able to read them + weren't sure why I was getting that response.

I was not aware of the high cost out of pocket for having my car service at the car dealer.
Agency, told the time to explain how they/ rate for paying to the car dealer and why out of pocket cost was so high. We now know that it is best to take our vehicles to an auto repair shop. Your company should be clear to their customer about how warranty company works with dealership and auto repair shops. The member will then have the opt and know the different.
Base on your advertisement and I was in need for a warranty do to my warranty was expiring.

Iit took way to long I'm car savvy Also a rebuilt is very if with all the electronics A new transmission is better I noticed a difference right away Also the first shift is very rough from the first shift I'm thinking of dropping CS and buying a new trans myself

Here I am faithfully paying to have my car covered because my dealer warranty was over. I faithfully kept up my vehicle maintenance. Then it happened my car went down in my mind great I got Car Shield... NOT! They refused to pay for my repair after I explained to them even the Hyundai mechanic told me on the low it was a defective engine part that never turned on the check engine light even when the car became undriveable still no check engine light. So car shield wants to classify it as driver error when in fact it was a manufacturer defect and not pay for my repair. They said i would have to go thru a process in order to debate it. Meanwhile I'd be without my car and even while it was in the shop they would not give me a car rental. Basically all the money i paid to Car Shield was apparently just to have a car tow service cause that's all they did and looking at these reviews here these are the ones they don't post on their site the real ones. They are a Rip off I wouldn't recommend them to my dog cause they'd still be useless. I will moving forward come to these reviews as opposed to Google reviews. UPDATE I received a letter from Hyundai recalling my former car for the exact issue that Carshield refused to repair thus supporting what I told carshield the hyundai mechanic told me on the low there was a defect in the engine and that Carshield was wrong to write me off as "operator error" and refuse to pay for the repair.

American Autoshield called and reported the claim would be completed do to a branded title. I informed the representative I was not aware of a branded title. The representative assured me the repairs would be completed and advised that I contact Carshield and explain the situation and inquire about the cost of a surcharge due to the branded title. I contacted Carshield and provided the details.
The representative recorded my concern and stated I would receive further details the following day by email or phone. I did not receive any details the following day. I contacted Carshield again the following Tuesday, November 28,2023. The representative provided details to the surcharge amount and stated the claim had been approved.
The repair shop contacted me Monday December 4,2023 and stated Carshield had denied the claim. I contacted Carshield and spoke to Victor in the claims department who stated the claim had been denied and Carshield would not honor any claim going forward for the repairs in the claim.
Agents were courteous. Information was incosistent. Victor refused to provide requested information and continually pointed out the dispute resolution process.
