Even though an open platform change.org acted IMMEDIATELY to remove parts from a petition that was created to harass a black family, in East Toronto, Canada thus making it useless. We thank all of the team at change. Org. As their message is clear: 0 tolerance.
So basically they are a bunch of shady companies out there trying to trick people into investing in candle trading schemes. They promise high returns on investment but end up taking your money and they act like they never knew you. But thanks to SPE C T R UM - CR E ST for helping me get back my funds from these brokers They scam people by making them believe they are an investment scheme that gives profit after investing which i i also decided to invest in just for me to place a withdrawal after making profit and they declined me telling me all sort of excuse. But luckily for me i got back my money with help of SP E C T R UM - C R E ST. Reach out to them if you need assistance on how to get back your money
Change is nothing more than an extension of a fascist thought police mentality. They MUST be outed then shut-down! Fight back! Start a petition, NOW!
Our petition has had over $3000 donated in last 24 hours to distribute the petition chipping in money for petition does not help at all
This is a fraudulent company. They signed me up to a membership I never agreed to, when I realised 6 months later, they would not refund the amount
This organisation seems to be corrupt, petitions are being removed & numbers are being manipulated. We are watching
If you are just looking for numbers for your petition and have the money to promote it then change.org's computers, robots and artificial intelligence will provide that for you. But if you are looking for quality and actually expect a human being at their organisation to help then you'll be clean out of luck. I started a very Canada-specific petition. So where were our paid promotion dollars directed? Well to the US and UK of course. After getting nowhere with a series of customer service people, I e-mailed CEO and founder Ben Rattray. He was on paternity leave but referred me to the company's acting CEO who told me, and I quote, "When a petition gets paid promotion it should only be shown to people from the same country as the promoter." Great, just what I would expect. So back to a customer agent who basically tells me that the acting CEO gets confused about details and has it all wrong. The actual policy he said, and again I quote is "... the investment promotes the petition all over the platform for any english speaker who can find it." He then added "However, now that you know you can request for your signatures to be limited geographically." So I make the request, only to be told by yet another different customer service agent that "Paid promotions work very different and we can't limit the promotion to just Canada at this point."

This joke of an organisation is interested in one thing and one thing only: making money. And they must be making tons of it off the backs of sincere people who are passionately trying to promote the cause they believe
In. Are you listening 60 minutes? Time to expose them for what they are.
I'm sorry, but a lot of the you posting reviews here are being ignorant... Change.org is not posting these petitions themselves. In reality, any user that signs up can create a petition about any cause. There are even ones you don't agree with, but you don't have to sign them.
And no, not all of the petitions on Change.org are about unimportant things. If you browsed around the website you would see that.
I admit I don't know the website well enough to say I know everything about it, but I've been using it for a couple years and have known about it even longer. I have not had too many problems besides the fact that they send out quite a few emails and you have no say in how many they should send to you per week/month. They may be selling your information, but because I use Gmail I receive none of the spam and therefore don't really pay attention. You might not be unchecking the boxes that say you want to receive emails from the organization that started the petition, but that is not called 'selling your information'. That would be your fault.
I agree this website needs a LOT of improvement. Currently, the only way to contact Change.org is by filing a help ticket. And to find out where is not very user friendly. To file a help ticket on Change.org scroll down to the bottom of the page and click 'help' on the very bottom. In the top corner of the screen you will see 'submit a request' (this method is subject to change).
The only way to share your suggestions through website is if they ask you to take a survey. You could also send your suggestions as a help ticket (which I did and they said their thanks and "I will pass this on to our product team for review and consideration.")
I really hope they decide to improve their website and make it more user friendly.
It's kind of messed up people can get rich off of creating a website like this... How is this legal?
Tip for consumers:
I wouldn't sign anything on this site, nevermind chip in.
CHANGE.ORG ARE PROMOTING A ULEZ PETITION THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE CLOSED DOWN OVER 12 MONTHS AGO. BUT THEY ARE STILL ALLOWING PEOPLE TO SIGN IT AND MAKE A £7 CONTRIBUTION.
Thousands of Londoners are extremely concerned regarding the financial impact of the Mayor of London's plan to extend the ULEZ zone into the outer London Boroughs which could cost them upto £4550 pa in penalty payments or lose £thousands in having to scrap, sell or replace their car.
A number of these people set up petitions on change.org in the hope that like-minded people would support them by signing their petition. In doing so change.org also ask for financial contributions to support the petition.
One of these petitions is to do with expanding the ULEZ zone upto the North and South Circular Roads, which, regardless of the petition, was enforced by TFL over 12 months ago. In which case this petition should have been closed.
Unfortunately this didn't happen and even now,change.org are allowing people to sign this petition and may even be paying the £7 contribution asked for by change.org.
As an objector of ULEZ and a user of change.org I complained and even though they agree people are still signing this petition, they refuse to close it down or at least prevent any new signatures being added and contributions being made.
They said the original proposer has to do this as their systems won't allow them to do so.
Tip for consumers:
Think twice before using change.org
This group is collecting fund as they are collecting petition for Dr. Abiy to be given the 2018 UN Nobel Price which is not existing
You have to do a donation or share it and then sign up for 10 other petitions just to sign up to one petition
Gave one off donation to causes that concerned me ie conservation issues in Australia, and then found out I was contributing $ 40 per month
This is a scam. I got charged for 4 months after signing their petition and did not get any confirmation or receipt of donation.
It is so difficult to sign a petition. I have started a petition and atleast 100 people have complained that they are not able to sign...
