They have a maintenance man that 1 is all over the blonde headed front desk clerk. 2 is a tier 3 sex offender. 3 lives on the property as part of his parole. 4 is a violent sex offered 5 should not be around your children when you have to stay at the motel. I will be sure to spread the word on this issue until he is removed from the property. There is no excuse for this kind of person being in the hotel business.
Made a reservation for a room at the MainStay Suites Greensboro approximately 2 weeks before my arrival. Arrived there in the evening and was told that no room was available. I received no advance notification in spite of them having my phone number and email address. No effort was made by the hotel staff to find me replacement accommodations. When I arrived there was no one at the front desk. I rang the bell and yelled hello and no response. I called the hotel number and someone finally appeared.
On November 7,2022 my husband and I stayed in the Quality Inn in Wickliff, OH. I am 71 years old, and I have never stayed in a worse hotel. The halls and registration area smelled like marijuana. The room was filthy. The bathtub was black, and the carpet and flooring were gritty with dirt. The beds had nothing but a sheet and a thin coverlet on them. I had to sleep in my jacket with a heating pad on my feet to keep warm. There were no buckets for ice. I went to the office to ask for one and was given a thin, plastic waste basket liner. There was no breakfast; however, the hotel smelled so bad we probably wouldn't have eaten there anyway. If I had not had a nonrefundable registration and we had not been so tired, we would have left and found somewhere else to stay. This place is horrible. I am a Choice Hotels member and I felt ripped off. I can usually count on a Choice Hotel to be fairly clean and comfortable, but not this time. You need to take away your Choice Hotels brand from this nasty hotel. It's not the sort of hotel you would want to represent Choice Hotels.
Tip for consumers:
Don't ever stay there. It's horrible!

Love them I get free stays all the time and at great hotels to boot! Hands down the best points club if you travel.
I ordered 3 gift cards using points. Two $100 visa gift cards and a $50 Amazon gift card. Today I activated two out of the three cards. The third card would not let me activate. I contacted the Visa institute and was told the card was reported lost, I asked how if it hasn't even been activated. The lady put me on hold she came back on the phone and said the card is now activated. I tried to use the card and it was declined. I called the balance hotline and the card has a $0 balance. I call the visa hotline again and explained the situation I was then told with a copy of the purchase receipt she would put the money on the card. I informed her that I bought it through Choice Hotels with points she told me without a receipt it's nothing she can do. I call Choice Hotes and explain the situation Choice Hotels told me that they aren't responsible for stolen or lost gift cards I informed him it's not lost or stolen I have it but there is a $0 balance I was told it's nothing Choice can do and was hung up on after being on hold for 45 minutes. Now I'm out of ******* points and a gift card which was a Christmas gift. This is piss poor service. I'm a diamond elite member who stays in a choice hotel at least 150 days a year. Over a $100 gift card I will not be using your services again because of how unprofessionally I was bull$#*!ted and cheated out of what I earned
We stayed one night in Obetz, Ohio at a Comfort Inn. The room was in major need of maintenance and a GOOD cleaning. The bathroom was digusting. I could not take my shoes off the entire time. The website states an indoor heated pool. This is not true. They have a room filled with wall heaters. The pool itself was not heated. The map in the room states vending on every floor. Again, not true. There was 1 single vending machine on the first floor that keeps your money. To book on the website was half of the cost rather than if you called the hotel directly but even still was charged an extra 150$ because we complained that the 2nd floor smelled so bad. We were charged a "cleaning fee" because we pointed out that the floor stunk so bad. Scam artists.
Choice Hotels claims that the hotel is independently owned so there is nothing that they can do about it. Lovely as the managers and staff at this hotel were so hateful and condescending. But these are the people that you are forces to deal with. Why even put your name with this place if you have no control. I wouldn't want my name affiliated with such a disgusting place. Stay away from Choice Hotels.
I am an RN who takes care of the most vulnerable, the elderly. I care for my mother who lives with me now. I raised four daughters and was taking my youngest to drop her off at college.
After driving from 10pm to 2pm from Oklahoma to Illinois, I dropped my last child off at college. I was exhausted physically from the drive and emotionally from leaving my baby at college. I went to a hotel to get some rest.
Almost as soon as I arrived my older daughter, taking care of my mom while I was gone, called and told me that my mom had taken a turn for the worst. We decided that she needed to go to the hospital. After a little sleep I head home to my mom.
While driving home I realize that I'm too tired to continue to drive safely. So I look ahead to see if there is a city with a hotel. I locate one in Ottowa KS. I got online and went to the Comfort Inn website to check to see if rooms were available and to book. I didn't realize I loaded Ottowa Canada and booked the night.
I arrived at the hotel and quickly realized my mistake. I paid for the room in Ottowa KS. Got to my room, desperately needing sleep, and called Comfort Inn to cancel the reservations for the Canidian Ottowa room. We talked for over an hour. But was told they would provide a resolution another day.
The "resolution" was that Comfort Inn would not refund me. Even though I called within an hour from making the reservation and stayed in a different Comfort Inn. Not willing to do the right thing reflects on their character and decisions on everything.
Tried to use points for room. Room advertised for72.00 plus tax Sunday night.quality inn gatlinburg Choicehotels website states 10.000points equals 60.00 dollars. When I called choice hotels I had 13.500 points that would equate to more than 80.00 dollars by their website calculation. They told me that I would need 30.000 points.Agin the room was77.00 dollars total. At 30.000 points 60.00 dollars equal10.000 it would cost 180.00 dollars of points. They emailed me as member special buy points. They we're offering me special member opportunity to buy points.phone rep told me to buy 30.000 points would cost 309.00 dollars. Some poor sole would pay 309.00 to buy a 76.00 dollar room. When asked the supervisor where the money difference 309.00 minus76.00 cost of room went it was just business.I have been member of choice hotels for over 8 years because we like comfort inns.On numerous occasions we called the hotel direct before calling choice and was quoted cheaper rates then choice hotels quote. The choice rep told me to just pay cash for the room.I fine their practices to be fraudulent and as you know my conversation with them was taped by them. Ask them to explain their thieving practices.Good luck and get the hell away from choice
Room smelled like trash when I got there. Manager told me to shut up and when I complained I was told to get out the next day.

This review is not for most all of my hotels stays through Choice Hotels. Throughout my travels, most have been great, however, I had to write about this hotel experience I had (March 2021), that I just could not believe.
In March of 2021, I reserved a room at the Quality Inn in Amarillo, Tx on 1610 Coulter St., using Priceline. Priceline then emailed me the itinerary and the statement showing the charge rate and check-in, check-out. All good.
At check-in, I mentioned to front desk person that this reservation is with Priceline, in which he said "yes" he could see that. That night, Amarillo had a major snowstorm (closed the interstate), so I was forced to stay an additional night. At front desk, I mentioned that I would pay this additional night separately (I so wished I would have called Priceline instead).
The next morning at check-out, I made sure the staff knew the first night was already paid. Staff assured "yes no problem".
A month later, I had noticed this Quality Inn charged me for two nights! I then called and was told the manager would call me back asap. I never received that call! This went on for two additional months! So, when I finally was able to talk to a manager, she seen this extra charge on the system and assured the mistake would be corrected and I would have a refund. One week later, I checked my card account and noticed she actually charge me again! So, two mistaken nights of charge and the second night was when I was 1500 miles away from Amarillo! I then contacted my charge card company for a 'dispute' charge in which they tried to resolve this, with no response from the hotel owners/staff. Finally, the card company listed this hotel as a 'FRAUD' account.
I have stayed at various hotels/motels for 50 years, and have never had this happen! If there are simple charge mistakes, the hotel would resolve in an expedient way. Not this place!
Please stay at your own risk.
Note: Many will ask' "ok however, how was the stay?" Answer; "awful, no hot water and no towels.
I am quite literally shocked after staying at the Choice Hotels Sleep Inn at Arlington near Six Flags location. This hotel was the absolute worst place I have stayed in my life. I have never written a bad review on a company, not ever, but this hotel deserves one.
My husband and I stayed in the hotel in March 2020. My room DID NOT HAVE A SMOKE DETECTOR! The day we were leaving from our stay, I noticed that the smoke detector cover was disgustingly dirty. Upon looking up at it, I saw that the small hole of the cover showed nothing inside. I pulled down the cover to find NO SMOKE DETECTOR AT ALL, just a plug-in wire where someone obviously removed the detector, and put the cover back up. Someone obviously knew about this. The cover was dirty enough, I am certain it was like that for a considerable time. I sincerely doubt that they check their detectors ever. They are obviously not in compliance with the LAW that requires smoke detectors in every single room. If it happened in my room, I guarantee it exists in many others.
Overall, the hotel was old, in poor shape, and my bathroom fan also did not work. All of that I do not love, but can understand at least. But not having smoke detectors? I am just glad my husband and I made it out of there alive. We have a 2 year old daughter who was not with us. Imagine if we left her without parents due to the utter and total lack of care by Choice Hotels and this Sleep Inn hotel. They have a total disregard for customer safety that is disgusting to me. Upon reaching out to the corporate owner Choice Hotels, I received a complete generic cop out of a response from them that does not make me believe they are concerned or will be making sure that customer safety is being addressed. If you are thinking about staying at this hotel, I would not do it!
My husband pre-paid and stayed at the Quality Inn in Gainsville, Texas while attending a golf tournament 3/28 3/30. He was charged an additional $265 after he left and when he called and questioned the charge, he was told it was a "smoking charge".
My husband does not smoke and has never smoked and did not have any visitors that smoke in his room during his stay.
We requested the manager contact us to dispute the charge and have it removed and he never called us back as was promised.
When speaking to TJ at the front desk, she stated "Oh yes, someone did smoke in that room". There was no smoking during my husband's stay and I believe this hotel's staff is committing FRAUD to cheat guests out of additional money.
I believe they overcharge in the hopes that guests do not catch it on their credit card statement and when they do, they make up a charge the guest has a hard time disputing (our word against theirs). WE DO NOT SMOKE and never have.
I called back again and the manager, Dennis Patel answered. He would not listen and did not care that my husband and son do not smoke and did not smoke anywhere in his hotel. He became so frustrated with me that he actually lied and stated "I saw your son smoking". I offered to fax him proof from our physician that both my husband and son have never smoked.
I requested he send me proof of smoking and the cleaning bill. He stated that he did not have the room professionally cleaned. He first stated the room had to be closed for 4 days because of the smell and then stated for 5 days. My husband checked out and was charged without notification on the same day, 4 days ago.
I have contacted the customer service at Choice Hotels and will be disputing the charge on my credit card. It is very frustrating that hotel staff can lie and overcharge you for something so tough to prove never happened.
I stay at the Choice Hotels Every week for my job but I just found something about Choice Hotels that I will never stay at a Choice hotel the rest of my life. Here is the story. I wanted to redeem my points for 13 gift cards because I had so many points. They would only redeem for one card and I could only redeem one card every 48 hours. I was shocked. I was counting on the gift cards to give out as gifts this Christmas. So that went out the window. I told them that I am a Marine vet and that is really not a good way to treat a Marine vet. They said they could not do anything about it. They said it was for security reasons, but I worked as a security expert for The Marine Corp and that was the most convoluted security restriction I have ever heard of. They are only making it difficult for customers to redeem their points so they will get frustrated and not redeem them. Who has the time to sit down every 48 hours and redeem one gift card. Its utterly ridiculous. CHOICE HOTELS DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR OUR BRAVE VETERANS. To make it worse this happened on Veterans Day. Please, you do not want to support a corporation who does not even support their own Veterans. Choice Hotels showed me what they think about our Vets, Thats all I need to know. I want to thank all of our brave Veterans for their service on this Veterans Day. DO NOT SUPPORT CHOICE HOTELS.
I am a Diamond member of Choice Hotels (which means I stay over 40 nights per year in a Choice hotel). Today I called Choice Hotels support to get credited for 8,000 points I recently received during a promotion that were not credited to my account. I hit the button for an automated callback this morning and they never called me back. You have to wait on hold to speak to a representative. If you select the option for them to call you back, they will not do so. This is where the deceit started, but not where it ended. After 90 minutes on hold I finally reached a representative who told me they points had been credited to my account and that's why I have a balance of 20,000 Choice Reward points. I have a balance of 20,000 points because I RECENTLY PURCHASED 20,000 points WITH MY MONEY. Choice is saying the 8,000 points have been credited to my account, that my folio reflects that (it does not -- I asked if I could share a copy of my folio with them and they said I could not), and they said the 20,000 points that I PURCHASED are evidence I received my 8,000 free promotional points (which, by the way, required a two-night stay, which I completed). When I asked for the representative's name so I could file a complaint they hung up on me. After I finish typing this sentence I'm done with Choice Hotels. They'll never see another cent from me again. If they hang up on their Diamond members (the highest possible rewards level that can be earned with this brand) I can't even imagine how they would treat everyone else.
If you want a good place to stay you must stay here it clean. The staff is friendly and the hot tub is great. They go out of there way for you
" I've stayed in a lot of hotels and the Sleep Inn is by far the cleanest place I've ever stayed and that is important for me."
Great staff with clean rooms. Would absolutely recommend! Everyone that works here are wonderful and very helpful. This is our go to hotel.
Horrible customer service. Both at the property and the customer service phone line. NO HELP AT ALL! Much better options for the price.
Don't stay at this hotel! They will fraudulently charge your account of $150! When we checked in at midnight, the manager, sara, was upset and rude that we disturbed her bong hits. She and the entire office reeked of marijuana and she was completely baked! She was so stoned that she put the reservation under my husbands first and middle name rather his first and last. We didnt know this until we contacted corporate, Choice hotels. Choice hotels could not find the reservation because of this. They had to use the last 4 digits of the debit card to figire it out.
We slept for 4 hours before leaving. The bathroom was covered in mold. Just nasty. The next day, the hotel manager, sara leaves a voicemail stating she charged us $150 because we "didnt tell her we had a pet or an injury." She said we should have told her about the injury so they could "prepare." How are you going to prepare? Are you going to perform surgery? Are you a doctor? Medical issues are none of your business and if you were truly concerned, you would have done your job like other hotels do and ask all of your pre check-in questions before accepting payment, not after and then charge a $150 cleaning fee that no one else has ever charged.
This "manager", her boss, and choice hotels refuse to accept responsibility for their fraudulent charges and behavior. Apparently this is a franchise so corporate claims they can't do anything to help. Sara refuses to provide any info or deliver messages to the owner and the owner has refused to resolve this as of today. Corporate aka choice hotels also refuses to take responsibility even though this econo lodge is under their corporate name. My reviews are constantly deleted. Guess they don't want the truth out there.
Tip for consumers:
Apparently choice can't resolve this issue wirh the fraudulent charges. The hotel, econo lodge in holbrook, az -that manager refuses to communicate or resolve the issue and choice says they have no control. Such bs.

I have been a Choice Hotel member for several years We go to Bush Gardens Williamsburg several times a year and always stay at the comfort inn on bypass rd. Well this trip we were taking another couple with us and needed (2) rooms. So I decided to call the number on my membership card to book the rooms and get the price with the AARP discount. After talking to the customer representative she quoted me a price of $65.00 a night for Thisday, Friday and Saturday nights. I questioned her several times about the rate as I knew that it should have been more for the two weekend nights. So I had my wife call directly to the hotel to ask them about the rate and I was right we would have been charged about $141.00 for the Friday and Saturday nights. More then double the rate quoted on the phone which was also more then the website rate of $109 a night. So we called the membership center and talked to a supervisor and they were going to start an investigation and listen to the type of the call. So after they did that they told us they were doing a second investigation and would get back to us but mor then likely not until after our trip was over. I was also told that if we stayed at any chioce hotel if the rate was more then the $65.00 we would be given that rate. Well they did call on Sunday as I was driving home. Guess what now the story was that since we didn't stay and the Comfort Inn and stayed at another Choice Hotel they wouldn't credit us with the difference in the rate and would only credit me with 2000 bonus points which amounts to about a half a nights stay and combined with the points I all ready had would now give me a free nights stay. We stated that this was not a fair compensation as there were two rooms and fell that I should have been refunded the money we were told we could get no matter what hotel we stayed at. I feel that by not settling this before our trip they were still not going to get the compensation we were promised. There has never been a problem with the rooms at the hotels.

Tip for consumers:
Please make sure you know that the price quoted is not the correct price as we called three different times and got the same rate of. $65.00 a night.
DONT STAY HERE Booked room in December, Got a call in March stating there was a "GLICH" and they have to cancel my reservation when questioned Manager of property AMANDA hung up on me! Property is the downtown Salt Lake city Comfort Inn. I had my wife call and see if she could explain it and she stated SORRY CANNOT DO ANYTHING NOT HER FAULT AND HUNG UP ON MY WIFE!
Tried calling corporate where message states they are open till 5PM MDT and you cannot get thru to anyone! I was trying to get a hold of CEO Patrick Pacious! No email for him or any other officer at Choice Hotels. Called customer support i finally got on phone after 1/2 hour wait.
She was not from the US and stated she would run this up to her SUPS and they would call me back shortly. Shortly to Choice Hotels must be Never! Their was no urgency to rectify the situation! Now I am stuck with no place to stay downtown because all hotels are booked!
We have a 3 day event in conference center and totally screwed. I cannot believe this place is still in business!
User's recommendation: DONT BOOK OR STAY HERE THEY HAVE NO HONOR!

The worst experience I have ever had with such a disgusting display of disrespect and unprofessionalism! I called on behalf of my boss to cancel a reservation which says on the website its a 7 day cancelation policy AFTER booking. It says nothing about the policy prior to making the booking. After booking the reservation your supposed to get an email, none was ever received. I called the hotel and kindly asked to cancel due to an emergency and the young lady I started the conversation puts me on hold and when the phone is answered again I am greeted by a paul or peter that claims he is from the corporate office. He explains that there is a 30 cancelation policy and that he cannot do anything to cancel or modify the reservation. The whole time I am speaking with him he is very condescending and wouldn't even hear me out. I asked if they could make an acception this one time due to the emergency and I was definitely kind about asking and at one point thrown by his blatant disrespect in his tone I stuttered a bit which he then proceeded to mock me on the phone. I got so angry and will admit told him off to which he then hung up on me. This hotel is recommended by a university which i hope after they hear about this they don't affiliate themselves with them any longer. This company as a whole has put a bad taste in my mouth and I will definitely not ever be booking with any of their hotels ever. The fact that the person identified himself as a corporate employee and behaved in such a way is absolutely not ok. I don't want to work with or give business to a company that allows their employees to talk to customers like this, especially at a higher level. Speaking with a customer relations person she apologized for my experience and tells me she has filed a complaint with the hotel to which I ask what does that do and she couldn't give me an answer. This only tells me nothing will be done and the company will continue to take advantage of people. Worst company ever!
Tip for consumers:
make sure you know that the cancelation policy is 30days prior to booking! they do not give you that information until after you book and you will not get your money back.

Well after giving the Rodeway inn Fife, WA a 1 star! I figure I would try them again since I am a OTR Trucker! I pulled into the Hardin, MT Rodeway Inn motel Thursday and spent 4 days here I was greeted very friendly and politely by the manager SAJ I had my pet with me and he put me in a very comfortable room carpeted as the last one was tiled! This bed was very comfortable then the BED ROCK MOTEL in Fife, WA that I stayed at! It had a clock and even a coffee machine in it as the BED ROCK didn't! It was cool if I wanted to have coffee for myself! The towels were as white as the sheets as the BED ROCK MOTEL in Fife, WA had stains on there towels and holes in there blankets ewww! But the staff here in Hardin, MT was eager to change them everyday if need be! One particular thing I liked was that it had a separate room for it's continental breakfast and it was very clean as SAJ was always busy cleaning up after us messy eaters lol! I will gladly stay here again and if I could give them a 10 star I would! This property inside and out sparkled and it is because of hard working non lazy people such as SAJ and the staff that make it a welcoming stay! Thank you SAJ and staff for making my stay very comfortable!
Choice Hotels Corporate Report: (2nd Time Posting)
Nothing but the truth stated here:
As it stands today, I am so unhappy that I made a reservation with: "Choice Hotel" for the Comfort Inn and filled out their Choice Hotel Visa signature card that is serviced by Barclay Bank as well! I am thinking cancelling my reservation and go to another Motel (Marriott or the Holiday Inn) because of Choice Hotels and Barclay Bank.
Sorry, that I requested a Choice Hotel VISA signature Card we do have many other Credit Cards. We have been with Choice Hotels since 2014 and we also get the same type of treatment on other reservations calls and now with their VISA signature card. We have a very high FICO score only to find out in my membership and my VISA Credit Card have been denied (rejected)! (My Debt -to- Asset's ratio score: "4% Debt - 96% Assets)".
Not the way to treat your customers.
Also, they should stop advertising apply for your VISA Card.
This Choice Hotel and the signature card is nothing but a BIG JOKE.
You know the best type of advertising is the back porch!
(One person says something bad about a firm to another person and they remember that and pass it on to someone else and add some more comments to the statements - soon then your firm starts start's getting less Stars or Points until you have no more).
COMMENT:
1. Hotel Choice reservations is nothing but a BIG JOKE.
2. Also, you should stop advertising apply for our VISA Card.
3. We feel that your firm should either; Merge -or- Sell to someone else or close your business doors.
What a nightmare - we are so unhappy that we made a reservation with: "Hotel Choice" and filled out a Hotel Visa signature card with them - to a point that we cancelled our reservations, and booked with other motels in Three other cities
Reservations Folks:
You should go to another reservation center to book your motel stays! (It just not worth your time, money, and effort) then to stay with Choice Hotels.
Thanks for your time to read this report.

Motel Stay in Two Cities
I have been of Choice Hotels since 2005 & have stayed at many of their Quality Inn's, Comfort Inn's & Suites, etc., this Quality Inn should be closed! The bathroom in 105,109,119 and one other that I can't remember the number of... all of them were so bad that I DID NOT take a shower! 119 was where I stayed the night and when I woke up in the morning there was a cockroach crawling across my covers on the bed! The bug issue is why I did not go to the complimentary breakfast they offered, I can only imagine what insects were where the food was located! The beds are supposed to be Queen's, but in all the rooms I was shown they were 3/4 or full size at best. When I checked out I informed the the desk clerk of my issues and her response was the same as the night office girl..."we were hit by hurricane Michael and the damage was devastating! We have not been able to remodel all of the rooms yet." My response was "you should NOT be renting ANY rooms that have not been redone due to the hurricane." She said, we haven't had any complaints about these rooms. This motel does not deserve to be part of the Choice Hotels chain, it is at best a stand alone motel $19.99 to $24.99 last choice dive, that should not be associated with ANY hotel chain!
I'm leaving as many reviews on as many sites that I can think of and I'm complaining to Choice Hotels corporate. Corporate needs to do something about this place! Also, some issues were just because of a very low budget maintenance, make do attitude on the part of the ownership of this motel. If you own a motel property and you have a hurricane that has damaged your property YOU need to have the monetary funds to restore the property if you plan on renting the rooms and hope that you are reimbursed by insurance! Also, the accent wall in 119 was painted the same color as the sidewalks, the cleanliness of the entire bathroom floor, around toilet, and the tub was cracked, but it just was not clean and in my opinion if you can't get a room clean enough even after a hurricane then it's not suitable to rent! If a crisis occurs whether it's a fire, tornado, hurricane, flooding, etc., rooms need to be CLEAN! I understand old, out of date, but if a place is just down right unacceptable dirty or unclean due to damage of a weather issue, it shouldn't be rented.
My unanswered email to choice hotels guests relations about my unanswered phone calls to corporate about my experience and complaint...
This is Joanna Snowton and I contacted guest relations on November 2 to file a formal complaint about the deplorable conditions of and by franchisee owner Allison Chan of Econo Lodge Airport I35 (tx236) at 2275 Valley View Ln, Farmers Branch, TX *******. As a former employee of choice hotels I don't think it's unreasonable to expect upper management to follow up with a guest that was physically injured ( bad enough to require stitches, a tetanus shot, antibiotics, narcotic pain meds, and continued wound care), endured having a rat run across my childs bed, and having an owner call the police to have my kids and I kicked out of our "replacement room" with no refund of the money already paid for the 7 nights I reserved because I complained to her about these issues and refused to turn over my incomplete medical documents to her insurance agent.
When I called on November 2 I was told I would hear from upper management within 72 hours and yet I haven't heard a word.
I want all of the money I paid to this hotel credited back to my debit card and I would like corporate to investigate the the conditions of this hotel and the way the franchisee owner is running said hotel. The conditions of this hotel and actions of this woman and the way she treats, and instructs her staff to treat, paying guests is not only a bad reflection on her directly but also choice hotels when nobody takes the initiative to take these complaints seriously and investigate the root of the problem.
I'm very disappointed in the lack of response I've received from upper management to address this issue in a timely fashion. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising but can also be the worst thing for a business.

On July 26,2022, we checked into room 227 at the Comfort Inn in Valentine NE, when I first entered the building and started the process the lady at the front desk was very friendly and asked what brought us to town for the week, to which I replied "We are here to visit my husbands family, they live in St. Francis.", at that very second her face and attitude changed, with her response being "Oh", I am assuming she wasn't pleased with Native Americans staying there (that is the impression she gave), so for this reason alone I would never stay here again but that didn't end up being the only reason. I was up all night itching, I did get up and look to see if I saw signs of bed bugs but did not, In the morning I had huge welts on my arms and fingers. My husband had one small bump on his arm, we again checked for signs of bed bugs but saw none. Our grandsons were in the other 2 beds and had no problems. I called down to the desk and asked if they could please change our sheets, thinking possibly there was a spider or even a trapped, mosquito. The second night the same thing happened, I was the only one to get bit. The third night it happened again but when I woke up I had even bigger, more red, and more swollen places on me, at this point my husband said that regardless of what was biting me, we could not continue to stay in that room. While I was changing clothes my husband checked the bed again and this time he saw 2 bugs. I did take a picture and a video. We went to the front desk and showed a very nice lady all the welts and the video, there was a lady from housekeeping sitting behind her who also saw this. She was very nice and apologetic and moved us to room 118, this room was smaller and had one less bed but all hotels in the town were full so we didn't have any other options as we would be in town for three more nights. The lady explained that she talked with the manager and the manager would be calling me about the charges for the room we had been in that had bugs as well as the new smaller room. We checked out on August 1,2022, and the receipt still showed all charges with totaled nearly $1000 dollars, again I went to the front desk and was told by a different, very nice young lady that she would take my information and the manager would contact me. When we returned to our room my grandson who was in a different bed, was woke up by one biting and crawling on him. I checked several times after returning home and I actually did not have any charges on my credit card so I decided to leave it alone and not post a bad review or say anything else, however, today is August 14,2022, and the charges are now on my account, I have again tried to speak with the manager and had no luck, so I am posting my review and will see what I can do to get my credit card to dispute the charges. I have a video but can not upload
