Ordering and price was great. Unit shipped same day. Great service. Only thing I have is that I hope shipping could be little better. When box arrives it had few visible areas where it was rather dropped or some other heavier object placed during shipping. Still my unit looks ok and initially working. This is a general problem with UPS
I ordered a "3312 adapter" from circuit specialists. The product was shipped quickly and without any transaction issues. The one major problem is that this adapter is using counterfeit serial converter chips and therefore the drivers do not work in Windows 8.1 or higher.
I ordered 5 USB adapters and they sent 4 white ones then I guess it was Friday so they picked one off the floor that was black, scratched and does not work and sent the 5 to me. Paying double the amount for shipping I left 2 customer service messages and one at parts along with an email with no response. Obviously I will not be buying from this company again.
Tip for consumers:
Don't try to call or email the company. No one answers the phone or responds to anything.
Products used:
4 out of the 5 adapters were fine. Threw away the black one.
Quick shipping, good prices. Everything you'd expect from a good retailer. 4 out of 5 because 5 means it's the best ever, almost none should ever give a 5, unless they did something truly exceptional. Likewise, there should be a zero star option for companies that are intentionally ripping you off...
I have used the iron for a few jobs already and I am completely satisfied. The soldering tip that was supplied with the unit was too small in diameter for the holding arrangement. Fortunately, I order additional tips, which appear to be of better quality and fit snugly. The price is great. I would recommend it to fellow electronics folks.
This is my second one of these (two different labs). I'm very happy with it. The reason for four stars is that the directions for assembly are pretty much useless. To figure out where stuff goes you have to go to the image that is on line at Circuit Specialists and look at the photo to assemble it.
The quality is good even when compared to units that cost twice as much or more.
My item arrived damaged, not due to shipping. I opened the box and the face of the variance fell off. I tried to screw it back on using the screws that were still on it, but they are stripped. I bought it as a refurbished unit, but wont do that again.
However, the returns process was very easy, therefore I gave a higher rating based primarily on that. Thank you.
Directory could be improved to help find things more easily, but on the whole it was pretty straightfoward. Shipment didn't have a packing list which I found strange - but it was as ordered.
Will shop here again.
I spent about 80 dollars in total to ship this meter to me, and let me tell you it is not worth 80 dollars at all.
This meters' should be price is 30 dollars max as the build quality is poor and the zero adjustment function is not even accurate.
I would refund this meter if the costs wont be high.
Don't get me wrong, this is a real nice unit, I'm just hopping my inexperience hasn't let me assume it will adjust in ways that it wasn't meant to! Time will tell if this Old Carpenter is cut out for Hobby Electronics.
Bought the variac and Mooshimeter. Really like both products. The variac I received was actually the upgraded model above what I ordered and was very happy to get it delivered very well packaged and all in good order.
They carry so interesting looking items. Sure I will give them more business in the future.
Needed a Digital Multi Meter to use in my home shop. Just retired after 40 years as a field technician with an electric utility and have used all types of test equipment. Mastech DMM has all the fetures I need at a fraction of the cost of a Fluke. It fits my budget and needs perfectly.
I am glad that I choose this store to get all the electrical supplies that I needed. Everythhing from the ordering process to the delivery was smooth. The products are also affordable and of high quality. There was quite a wide variety of things to choose from and I got just what I needed.
Everything that was shiped initially arrived quick and it was all that I expected in the way of gear. So far eveything has worked as expected with an execption of the magnifying lamp station, not very bright. So far seems to do the job but would be nice if brighter... Premier Soldering station is excellant, fast to get to temp and all the items included make this a great purchase!
Fast service, good prices, easy transaction. I know this company since 1980, when they had a mail order catalog, same excellent service, highly recommended.
I am pleased with my purchase. It arrived fairly quickly. The only way to get cheaper prices is outside the country and would take a considerably longer time to arrive.
Well,,,,
I'm a big analog fan, and I expect some dissapointments from digital.
It didn't let me down.
The biggest one was with the X/Y display.
It's nothing but a cloud of dots.
Not a clean line trace you see with an analog scope. In short, it sucks. If you need a lissajous pattern, you are outta luck.
Triggering is not great, not like a Tektronics analog scope.
Multicolor is nice, but not needed.
It's noisy at very low levels. Even with the probes disconnected.
But having said all of that, it's a very nice digital scope, particuarily for the price.
Put up against digital scopes costing four times as much, it is very nice.
No better bang for the buck!
Im on my second tip cleaner. Went thru the one that came with my CSI soldering station doing quite a few projects. I used to use the damp sponge method but For me the csi tip cleaner works great.
For $22.00 for a regulated solder station in a great buy. It uses LF series soldering tips with integrated heating elements. Heats up in about 5 sec great heat recovery.
Best deal out there for a quality item. Fast and easy ordering. Fast and efficient delivery. Just a pleasure to do business with a professional company at basement bargain pricing.
The power supply I needed was in stock, ordering was easy. Shipping was prompt and the overall price was quite reasonable. I've told all my friends about Circuit Specialists.
I received the item no problem but it came with no Removable Programming Module which i thought was what i paid for.
Why would you sell without, what the hell can i do with this stupid f--king thing.
The product was shipped on time and arrived undamaged. The price is also fairly good for what you get, at least on paper. Time will tell, how reliable the product is, as it is put through its paces.
Came in the mail yesterday. Just got it set up and the tip tinned but haven't had the chance to use it yet. All the reviews on the different forums are good. Looking forward to using it.
Received order in 2 days. Bought as Christmas gift for our son as he thought the product was a great value for the price. It had all the features he wanted on the meter.
Matches the add 100% and looks just like the picture. All put together and ready for a test run. The description is perfect. This will help a lot around the shop.
Heavy duty enclosure. Will last a lifetime. Plan on using it to house an amateur radio transceiver. It will stand up to connecting/disconnecting an antenna without buckling.
Circuit Specialists provides you with quality electronic equipment, components, and accessories at remarkably low prices. Simply smart circuitry since 1971.
